The reason aegon lived and Thaeyna died was that aegon’s dragon was alive and took the brunt force of the fall. He’s a protector of his rider. And this is why aegon didn’t take too Much damage from The fall. Other than broken bones. Plus he was trying to land despite having a broken wing. Whereas Rhaenas dragon had her neck broken and just fell like dead weight. When the dragon hit the ground it burst into flames and explode and very likely fell on top of her body when it landed.

The difference between Aegon and Rhaenys is that Meleys landed on Rhaenys and crushed her, Sunfyre flipped over at the last second so it didn't land on Aegon.

Why is E-man lying about seeing a scene where Rhaena tried to ride a dragon and almost died? That happened off screen. And she didn’t attempt to ride Vhagar, her mom just died. She was going but Aemond beat her to it. Dude just making shit up and saying it like he really saw it. Lol

The reason Aegon could survive is cuz sunfyre wasn’t completely dead he landed so Aegon had a chance to live. Sunfyre showed more love Aegon than his own momma when he nudged him before they flew. Meleys was dead when she landed.

Your friend is confused; dragons choose their riders through bonding, they don't respond to any Targaryen just because. Aemond wasn't rejected by dragons, his dragon egg didn't hatch and that's why he was constantly being bullied by Aegon and Rhaenyra's kids which made him become obsessed with dragons. He claimed Vhagar fair and square, Rhaena couldn't bond awith Vhagar. Btw, you don't inherit dragons, just because Rhaena's mom was Vhagar's rider doesn't mean she would have accepted her, you have to claim it ad they have to accept you.

How about Sunfire being the first that hit the ground (maybe on it's side) causing Aegon to fall off and therefore lessening the impact? Shows again how some of y'all have no imagination. People in real life have miraculously survived the worst accidents. So it's not in the realm of impossibility. This is Epic fantasy after all. You are totally fine with Red Witches raising people from the dead but not Aegon surviving burn wounds. On the fact of him being carried all the way back to Kings Landing given that distance from Rooks Rest, I can see how that could be a problem.

If you rewatch the "crash" you will see right before the treeline Sunfyre manages to flip over, so Aegon lands with a massive cushion. Sunfyre saved Aegon.

In the last episode if you go back and watch it again sunfyre turned at the last moment so that she didn’t crush aegon, so yes it isn’t ridiculous that aegon survived.

Yo Jody, we know Khalessi was immune to fire, but I don't think she was immune to dragon fire. Dragon fire is magical and powerful. Remember the man who talked about being a Targaryen at the brothel? I think they will try to find him and other people who have Targaryen blood.

Young Rhaenerya way better than this one. She's so timid and unsure all the time now, no spark. She's nice but she needs an injection of personality. Daemon's also the biggest loser in the show.

I agree with you guys... I felt nothing for the loss of Rhaenys. There should have been more emphasis on what a tragedy that was and it would've been good to have Corlys vs Rhaenyra and his doubts moving forward, and it would have been good to have more urgency especially from team Black. There's a general lack of urgency in this season and it feels like they're not fighting a war at all sometimes. Strategy, politics, momentum...that's what's missing. S1 maintained momentum far better. Talking is fine, but it needs to be interesting at least. In regards to the dragon riders, I'm very concerned about that plan. Even if you can ride a dragon, going to battle with one is completely different and it's not like they have a long time to train. Team Black just feels messy tbh...

Fire and blood is a word of mouth book told by people who couldn’t be trusted it’s up for reader to interpret. It’s the most frustrating book to some cuz it’s not factual it’s people on either side saying what they think happen or they are lying to make their side look good

I don't get why when they compare Aemond with Daemon, with Aameond's being Daemon 2.0, people almost never notice/mention that if you move the D in Daemon to the end of the name you get Aemond....i.e. Aemond is just Daemon with the letter order advanced by one letter and the first letter D being moved to the end now. Could be a coincidence I suppose, but to me, with the other intentional similarities between the two characters, there's no way GRR Martin did this "by accident". He could have named the young one Aemon or something, but no, he added the "d" to make it "AemonD". So, the order is advanced by one letter -- meaning one generation -- and the same circle -- otherwise known as Daenerys's "Wheel" -- keeps on turning....Unless and until someone "Breaks the Wheel", whatever that means and if that is even some sort of possible outcome of some kind. But anyway, turn that f-en Wheel by one letter and you get "D-A-E-M-O-N" transformed into "A-E-M-O-N-D" . That is some nice medieval cryptic coding from GRRM.

If you watch the scene of the fight in episode 4 again, Aegon's dragon was alive when it was falling, just before he hit the ground, his dragon turned right side up. That's why he survived. Rhanys's dragon was dead before it hit the ground, plus she got the full hit if the impact. It's very different from Aegon.

Team Black keeps taking L not won a single battle won, lost two dragons, vale doesn’t want to send their armies because rhaenyra gave them two baby dragons as a defense lol, daemon the great war general cannot muster an army and the river lands don’t want him……..without corlys or rhaenys team black has absolutely nothing.

The problem with this show is unfortunately the show itself; it is based on a fact check by the Maester who transcribed Fire & Blood. Therefore the show itself isn't based on GRRM's character dialogue. It is based on scripts that are based on facts from the book. The facts of these events are NOT suited to convey how someone felt (which BG4 brought up in regards to Corlys' lack of proper mourning over the death of Rhaenys), or the now TIRESOME visions that Daemon is having in Harrenhal, which leaves me wishing these sequences would SPEED past. And that's it in a nutshell: there is no character dialogue from the book that has to be transcribed to the scripts in the show. This was a mid episode, and the season has been mid overall thus far.

Daemond is just an older version of Aemond. Except Daemond had love for his brother which is why he is conflicted Daemond actually was loved by his family. So his love for them keeps him from acting out his impulse as openly as Aemond. Because Daemond has shame and has some good in his heart.

With the exception of Alicent and Aemond, I actually thought the acting this episode was a little weak. Tremendous actors, but it just felt a little weak this episode. Even the scenes where the people from the Riverlands confront Daemon just felt off, like I was watching a televised play or something.

In some ways it shows how foolish all the "Daemon should have been king" people are. Daemon tries to "rule" for a few weeks and everything he does backfires. All he knows is killing. Viserys knew that and now Rhaenyra knows that. Viserys didnt need a killer, Rhaenyra does.
