What character development??? The fire and blood book was like a history book with barely any depth or characterization.

@@manvirshergill1739 good point, I didn’t word that well. What I mean is as they write the show and dialogue, I have faith that they will develop the characters and stay true to that character development. The fact that GRRM is heavily involved in this and it’s writing is why I have this faith. Also, I can’t imagine the new show runners want to go down in history the same way D&D did.

@@jsan3743 yeh I get it. I also hope they give the characters a lot of depth and complexity so when the "dance" actually happens we care and we are conflicted about which side we are on (i was on team black when reading the book)

@@jsan3743 oh yeh definitely, the deaths of her children really do change Rhaenrya's personality... especially near the end. The thing I'm looking forward to the most even though I think we might get it in season 3 maybe?? is Aemond vs Daemon! It's gonna be 🔥🔥🔥 no pun intended. Can't wait.

Who is we? They will thankfully never reboot the last season and if you were really let down, then why are you here? There is nothing to forgive, this franchise will thrive with or without you.

@@ianvera4299 Apologies for the word dump but you asked for it: sure it will and I never doubted that, it is a beloved franchise and I'm welcome to share my viewpoint. What I won't do is up to me and what you will do is up to you. Fact is final season still left a bad taste in my mouth and it would be nice if this series, which I will be watching, doesn't do the same. At the end of the day Winds of Winter isn't even out so I'm not as pinched as you may think I am. Is it so wrong for a fan of the series to want it to do well. Even original GOT there was nothing to hate besides what happened behind the scenes, everyone involved in its creation and presentation went above and beyond. As someone who works on projects its just a slap in the face to everyone involved when things go left and I'd hope there has long since been a form of damage control put in place to prevent such a thing from happening again. Edit: and if it does, it does nothing stops corporate 🤷‍♂

@@mr.clymate7489 I agree it is a beloved franchise, but that was not my point. It is absolutely valid of you to feel hurt over the last season, but the GOT doesn't owe anybody an apology nor a reboot. That's not how television works. It is not wrong for fans wanting something to be good. Is is wrong for fans demanding HBO to remake something out of entitlement which is a real slap to the crew and actors who worked hard. GRRM himself called out the toxic fandom due to the last season when he was promoting HOTD. If you want to uplift HOTD, great. Just don't do it by bringing down its predecessor.

@@ianvera4299 not hurt, passionate about a franchise. Without that passion fans wouldn't tune in. I know you thought me to be part of the toxic fanbase, but na just expressing that. I see this show, past, its books and future works as art. What is art without critique? Blind entertainment? To some that's what it very may well be, I simply casted my thoughts into the void that is youtube comments. Where I am free to uplift this show and critique it at the same time. If my feelings towards it is love-hate then so be it, the franchise itself is called Ice and Fire. I'm sure anyone who put time into something will like to hear both compliments and criticisms however crude they might be.

I am sorry you didn't like the ending of the show. I didn't like it either, but I am a fan of A song of ice and fire not just a game of thrones as a tv show ( which I stopped watching in season 5 because I had a feeling it would end badly ) that didn't make me demand for them to change it for the people who enjoyed season 5, 6 and, 7. You don't have to watch this. You are more than welcome to live in the past, or check out the books which will not end the same as the show.

@@Liverpool-Thedirtyredteam the entire new show will revolve around danys family. Im saying who gives a shit when all of them are dead. Resurrection is possible, danys intact corps was carried way into the sunset by her dragon. Its not a leap

@@tarenhempstead559 dont be sorry, ive read the books myself and in order to finnish the show D and D had Martin help with wrapping it up so it would be vaguely the same ending as the book hes still writing (winds of winter) so i bet itll end just as disappointingly
