I miss Otto and I never thought this would happen! He would be able to see the problem with parading the head of Meleys around Kings Landing right away. Aemond is too prideful and dense to make Otto his hand but he barely has a chance at ruling.

BTW Daemon has no desire for the throne. Unless it’s just given to him or something happens to RayRay. He will never betray Ray anymore than he’d have usurped Viserys. His temperament and pride is just such that he never feels any need to defend his loyalty or be questioned. And he’s mischievous and a hedonist. But he will never betray Rhaenyra. Thats just the show creating conflict to mirror the nonsense between Aemond and Aegon.
Stop spoiling and let people enjoy the show. There is nothing about this episode that suggests such high mindedness from Daemon, the point of his behavior was to suggest he wants the throne. You don’t need to defend his character to an audience experiencing the story for the first time.

I’m making a submission about a character. Not my fault if you can’t track a character from episode to episode to feel you can speak authoritatively about them. If you feel differently about the character, say your piece. But don’t throw wild accusations like your mind has no processing. If you watch a show and at some point are not able to say this character can or cannot do this, you’re not engaged. Ps: I don’t talk show using book knowledge. A lot of things have already changed from book to show. Idc. And oh, if I was talking from book knowledge I’d have been less likely or inclined to make that comment about Daemon. As i’d have had something to say about Aemond. How’s that for spoilers.

I made those statements based on observations of the character after an entire season and half. We don’t know Daemon from THIS episode, dude. We know him from over twelve episodes. Someone has a right to reply to me and say nah, I think he does want the throne based on this or that previous actions. Then we argue or agree. With the knowledge that we’re both engaged in guesswork and biased hopefulness. But that is how the comment section works. How do you think film analysis works? Jesus Christ!! How do you think critics are able to say “nah, I don’t buy that the character did this or that because based on this or that previous actions, this here action is inconsistent”. How do you think film channels make predictions and eventually reviews? Again, if you have been engaged with this show, you should be able to say “nah, I know this mofo Daemon; he’s not vying for the throne”. Just as last week, I could have said “Rhaenyra going to see Alicent is futile…” because again, you come to know characters and their intentions and motivations and yes, their character. And Precedence. If you cannot do this, go discuss this show and others with likeminded, sieve-brained people. This is too much.
