Because we knew and liked Rhaenys. Everyone was mad that she didn’t kill everyone at the coronation. But, we also understood that she ultimately did the right thing by adopting restraint in that moment. The Blacks just lost their unofficial 🖐️.

The way Im crying after watching this episode. It was so good. Rhaenys was such a bad ass fearless woman. She did what needed to be done and accepted her fate. It was so moving when her and her dragon looked at each other right before the end. What a ending. RIP the queen that never was... she would've made such a bad ass queen.

Reading how it went down in the book was one thing but to see it gutted me. I’m gonna miss Eve Best as Rhaenys but she showed she was a true dragon rider and even took on Vhagar one of the oldest battle tested dragons next to Balerion by using her dragons size to bring her down to the ground unfortunately she jumped them both and attacked

Honestly, Rhaenys ultimately paid the price for not roasting them all at Aegon's coronation. She may have been killed for it, but we would have the right person ruling. Ser Criston would've probably still found a way to screw that all up too tho.

Rhaenys went out like a straight thug. She knew what it was. Aemond was always going to commit fratricide, twas never going to end any other way. I cried and cried bc I knew we weren’t ready. I smöked copious amounts of dornish flowers for her brave exit from this realm to that of the Gods. Gurawl, I feel it! @@RockChick63174they could alter that aspect since the book is really a history book of footnote events and misinformation 😂 There are rumors in the book Alicent slept with Daemon and fathered Aemond , which we know are lies from the show since those characters have rarely directly interacted if ever Like Alicent saying people will belive what they want in the end That's pretty much how history goes The truth of history doesn't matter as much as the person telling it and what they decide to say

If you think back on that episode when Virseys died, Alicent was quite reluctant when Virsery said Aegon and the prince who was promised. Even she lowkey questioned her son, Aegon, being king. Now I still believe Alicent lowkey did that to give the middle finger to Rhenya. However, I do think Alicent made Aegon king because she thought that is what Veresy (not her) wanted.
