House of the Dragon Season 2 Midpoint Review 

I agree I feel like the episodes feel so weird in terms of the vision and where they are going.

I think for me it is just the season so far has been disappointing. Still good, but I feel like the show should be progressing in quality but keeps doing the same thing season 1 did. When it should be easier to adapt now then it was in season 1.

When did I say that?

@@diceflawless9115 build up does not equal slow pace. The Red Wedding episode is all buildup in the episode for an amazing pay off.

@@TheGreaseGoblins The red wedding was a big deal and huge pay off. You said you wanted more build up to Allicent and Raenyra talking. We only have 8 episodes. There's no time for slow build ups to a simple conversation.

@@diceflawless9115 Oh okay I think you misinterpreted what I meant. I wanted buildup to their meeting again I didn't think they should speak again until season 3, but if they are going to make changes from the book, they need to make sense and be properly set up. That conversation felt rushed bc of how it was executed.

I have talked at lengths about Blood and Cheese, but I think too quickly fix the scene with keeping what they wanted to do. Was just have Alicent present. I would have loved to see the Maelor thing there and the heartbreaking decision Haelena has to make. But simply having Alicent there gives that emotional weight to the scene. Like Cat at the red wedding while Haelena is the Robb in the situation being too shocked to really react at all. I just think the Alicent and Cole thing at the end is uneeded and doesn't add much because they both already would have felt guilt already for the death of Jaehaerys. It doesn't need to be a 1 to 1. Also, I am not hating on the scene it is good enough right now, but as a book reader the event could have been much better and was disappointing for me personally.

I also want to say I did not say the episodes were bad lol. I gave the season so far an 8/10
