I fear that we are heading down the same path as Western countries, especially the United States. Men are now refusing to get married because they are greatly affected by divorce laws that incentivize women to file for divorce in order to attain assets. Women are entitled to 50% of what the man has worked his entire life for, as well as money in terms of alimony and child support REGARDLESS WHO'S AT FAULT. This trend will increase the number of single mothers and single fathers, which several studies in the US have shown correlates with a degeneracy of society due to single-parent households. Not only has the marriage rate gone down, but the birth rate has as well. We should learn from these countries, not copy them.

Ang problem sa marriage papers inaabuso yan ng maraming asawa porket alam nila na kasal sila gumagawa sila ng mga bagay na makakasakit sa asawa nila dahil alam nila na matibay ang kasal. Ang problema sa kasal pag may abusive partner hindi na yan healthy relationship lalo na sa mga bata at sa babae mismo or sa lalaki, kasi yung partner na inaabuso nagkakaroon ng matinding trauma at ang trauma na yun ang nagiging dahilan para hindi na maging productive ang isang tao at apektado na dyan ang ekonomiya kung libo libo na ang bilang ng mga tao na may depression at trauma dahil sa marriage nila masasabi niyo ba na hindi apektado ang ekonomiya nyan kung ang isang tao bugbog mentally and psychologically and emotionally everyday hindi na yan makakapagwork at nandoon na lang yan sa room ayaw na lumabas dahil sa trauma at depression niya. Nakita ko ang epekto na yan sa mother ko dahil ang father ko verbally abusive may bisyo na alak at sigarilyo at verbally abusive din sa amin na mga anak nya. Lumaki kami sa takot at kahirapan everyday. Ang mother ko sa tindi ng trauma nya kahit kaharap nya ang food hindi na sya makakain at parang nagkaroon na sya ng diperensya sa isip dahil sa takot everyday. Kaya nauunawaan ko ang mga nanay na abused ng asawa nila dahil nagmula ako sa dysfunctional family. Kailangan ng bansa ang divorce dahil tao lang tayo hindi tayo Diyos nagkakamali tayo ng taong pinakasalan dahil may mga tao na mapagkunwari at magaling magtago ng kasamaan nila para lang sila mapakasalan ng babae or lalaki.

If you don't apply for the annulment within the first five years of marriage you can forget being granted the annulment . The grounds for annulment are limited. Abuse is not even considered grounds. Extremely expensive and out of reach for the average Filipino. This is one example of where the church is much like the Pharisees and lay heavy burdens on its members, burdens that ita clery do not have to shoulder.
