This is my very, very, very good friend, my sister!! I love her so much 🫶🏽 and I’m very proud of her!! I’ve been to her home several times and this is not for the cameras, her home has always looked like this ✨ She’s always had great style, great taste and it always came so natural, so easy. She doesn’t have any formal training, she is self taught, it’s a gift 🌟 and the way she comes across on camera is her authentic self! She’s great! Cheers 🥂
Tamiko is absolutely delightful! She did a fabulous job in decorating her apartment. Absolutely LOVE HER BEDROOM....OMG THE BED SHE DESIGNED IS GORG!!!!!!! The side tables are beautiful!!! She clearly has an eye for beauty and design. As an aside ......I LOVE HER OUTFIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A black girl after my own heart. I absolutely love this home and the beautiful lady 😊. Thank you for sharing your beautiful well collected home with us.
I like her personality. She has done a lot in a small space. Typically these home touring channels focus on very large places. It is refreshing to see a place I relate to.
The thing that gets me her kitchen is big as a closet and she cooks all the time and I watch homeworthy tours with people have the biggest kitchen bigger than most apartments the latest greatest appliances and they don’t cook a thing 🤣🤣 so props to her
@@marfialennox2642 get this I was watching a tour with Sophia Vergara on architectural digest, and her kitchen was big as a house and she said she never used it. I literally was like what the you know what🤦🏾♀️
@@tiffanycurtis4794 You’re correct! It’s all a show for most people. Most of these homes are decorated by professionals and the owners have zero clue of what’s what. LOL Give me a Sophia kitchen and call me chef!
It’s so easy to discern homes that are collected authentically. You can feel the warmth and treasure of this home through the video. And Tamiko, you are stellar. ✨
I love her apartment! This is an example of having a beautiful space in an apartment and not living in a blank box. Such a lovely woman with a great eye. Beautiful home.
Absolutely beautiful . . . every inch . . . and such creativity . . . furniture design is your future in a big way. That bedroom head and footboard is gorgeous. Your Mom would be very proud. Your home is definitely "homeworthy".
I absolutely love love love this tour. For the first time I see my classy free style spirit on a home tour. Design your home to reflect you. No need to copy others. Just inspire each other. I love all the colors she used! ❤
I loved watching this host show her beautiful home. I appreciate how she is not afraid to show her quirks and imperfections in her design, and let’s face it, we all have them!
It is maximalist so yes, a lot to take in but I love the color and energy of this home. Often when you live in the tri-state area you are short on space but she has embraced it. So much better and warmer than a boring neutral space.
She's a beautiful lady and she has a lot of beautiful pieces. It is a bit busy and too crowded for my taste, but if she loves it then I love it for her. And as one reviewer also mentioned her jacket is lovely.
"It's my home the way that...makes me feel comfortable and safe and secure..." YES! Too many people decorate for other people instead of as an expression of themselves. This home is beautiful! I'm only half way through the video and Tamiko has inspired me to use more blue and white ( I especially love those pretty lampshades).
I think this is exactly how one becomes a successful decorator/designer. Self-taught, personal, evolved, making mistakes along the way. Kudos to her for making a small space stunningly gorgeous in a way that many homeowners in spaces fifty times as large, never accomplish.
She has a lovely home; she is real and unique; her kitchen with all those items is so very expensive. Congrats on all that you do!home is sheltering in place and a sanctuary where you can feel safe. Well-said.
Your home is beautiful!! You said you didn't want to invest too much it's a rental. You been there 14 years it's your home invest!! You are blessed to have such a beautiful space. Way too many people don't. GOD BLESS YOU.
It is a rental which pains me because if she had spoken to a bank, I’m positive they could have helped her to become a homeowner not a renter! Her Landlord must adore her!
I really enjoyed that Tamika is not a pretentious person, she was very real in what she likes or doesn’t, and how she lives. Her apartment is really lovely. My favorite color is green so her couch and that speckled rug are wonderful! All my life I have searched for items that could not be found, the fact that Tamika created a business from that idea is really amazing and something to admire.
Omg what a beautiful talented woman. She reminds me of someone you would love to have as a friend. I could have listened forever. Some of the woman on here are all about their status in life.
Tamiko has a beautiful home. I love how compact and organized it is. I fell in love with her dining room. I had never seen those kind of dining chairs. Very unique and posh. Love it!!!! I love that she see her mom in her decor style. What a wonderful sentiment. Tamiko, you have lived here 14 years, and I see your style. It is beautiful.
Whatever we are in a moment is authentic. No judgement. I like how she's being herself. (Huh?) I always feel that saying these things is what should be considered disingenuous.
Tamiko is a lovely breath of fresh air with her style and her energy. Her apartment reflects who she is and I loved it. She has beautiful things that make her happy and I loved that about her. Her home is very warm and welcoming.
Tamiko Hargrove’s home is a gem - love the design of all the rooms and color intentions! Tamiko Hargrove….your bed frame design is magnificent! Such talent!
I love your choices, you make vintage and antique look cool because you're young, if some of those things were in my home because I'm older, that's what my grandkids would think. Your space is beautiful.
She made everything so beautiful because she has vision. Love it all and especially adore the dining room and that amazing bed that embraces the sleeper! Can reupholster the bedroom chair in velvet and the cat can't hurt it. I was tickled at how she tells on herself throughout the video.
I love, her velvet green sofa, draped; her living is staged for those who like collected various types of furnitures. This home tour shows what you see is what you’ll get. I like that all of her mirrors for all of the rooms.
Before you even got to the kitchen, I knew that you throw an amazing dinner party! Your home is warm and well curated. I love and align with your concept that, if it looks good to you, then it looks good. Brava to your dedication to authenticity and style! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I like the kitchen too. I read the copper dishwasher as a bread box. My grandma had one with a bread board on the inside of the drop down door. It was finished in copper color metal and it looked like a set with the canisters from the 50's. My mom lost track of all our family heirlooms.
LOVED Montclair and all the antique shops that were up and down the streets and all the new ones that have come thete. Lived in Essex County for over 30 years, Montclair restaurants and homes were often a destination!!
I throughly enjoyed her fabulous presentation! I love to hear the stories how she arrived at picking out her style! I also like how she accepts her authentic unique style!😊👍🏽👏🏾❤️
Ive watched quite a few homeworthy videos, Tomeko's home is by far the most beautiful. Its amazing how she cleverly camoflaged the dated kitchen. Just a beautiful serene home.
I have a few HomeWorthy videos that I keep on rotation…I watch over & over & Im adding this one to that list! I love everything she did here! But I had to laugh…she wondered if her Van Gough prints could be real? She cracked me up! But I love her style!
Exactly. Make your own rules in decor. I love color. I change my decor and colors often. I get bored often with decor. I call them my props, and I have a lot of stuff stored, lol. ❤❤
