This is a very realistic house tour of our first house at our ranch in Mexico. We wanted to show it to you while it is still in construction site mode and explain all the difficulties we had along the way. This house is being build in a very remote area which also means that it was hard to find workers... and the ones we found did a lot of things wrong. After a lot of tears, sweat, money and time we are still happy how it turned out so far and can't wait for you to finally see the results. 🏡 We will give you frequent update videos along the progress!

Very cool! Its interesting to me how mexico houses are made of cement walls rather than putting studs, insulation, and drywall. Good Luck! Im sure its gonna look amazing at the end.

Awesome, Congratulations. We found your channel searching San Felipe. We have been looking for a place in San Felipe since Jan 2022. We may build or we may buy already built. Either way you inspire to continue working toward a home in Mexico. Not sure if you have utility power or are going to be off grid, but if off grid please let me know if I can help with the solar or back up power. Salud!

Thank you so much guys! And it's motivating us to know that there are more people out there that have the same mission. Good luck and keep us updated once you find a place in San Felipe. We stopped there on our road trip and it's so beautiful. Are you located in the U.S at the moment? We will definitely consider your offer about solar/ power. So far it's not clear when the utility poles will be brought closer to our piece of land.

You absolutely can't have wooden windows and doors in Mexico. The sun alone will destroy them fast. You're in a different country. They use aluminum for windows and doors. Although you've come across a lot of problems. Your house is beautiful! Keep up the great work!

Depende de que zonas, si estas en zonas frías y altas pues si es recomendable tener casas de madera con techos de Adobe.

If you want to use wood in mexico you need to understand that is something far more diffucult to learn and properly understand than how the homes are built or should be. Cement, brick, cinder, rock, foundations, plumbing all that shit is fairly easy to understand. Wood work, especially in mexican climates using proper wood, It is a science and an art. Use as little as possible or just dont. Unless you are rich and know a guy.

I've never understood how Mexican construction crews in the U.S. are top notch, but complete garbage in Mexico. I always tease my family about it when I'm down there.

I'll explain it for you. Trickle down. In the US, they get the whole payment for the job. In Mexico, the foreman takes all the money, and they get very little, but sometimes, the homeowner will grease the wheel. If the homeowner doesn't grease the wheel, well, you see what happens. I'll be very explicit. Homeowner stays on site and oversees, and gives cash to each person doing the job individually.
