I don't understand why you think your home isn't cohesive. Every thing sits well together. My style is very eclectic, so I probably looked at it differently to you. As long as it makes you happy and is comfortable, that's what matters. I love the metal walls downstairs.

I love to see young couples that have good sense...and are not spoiled . Getting in debt is a killer for a growing family and can cause marital strife. You have great values. Love you guys. I will give you my canner, but I live in Utah.

My British in-laws would say, the wagon is a keepsake. You have a Kitchen Aid mixer. Have you seen the Amish Kitchen Aid? It has a crank on the back end. No electricity. There is a company that converts them.

Your home doesn't seem that small to me, but I'm sure you know better than us. You have it decorated in an inviting, comfortable, warm home. You had several great ideas which I can use in mine. I live alone, I'm retired and I still haven't gotten everything out to decorate it. I've been here almost two years. Things have changed so much, I can't see me using half of the things I have stored. I love the blue colors in your home. Blue is so relaxing to me, whether it's "in style" or not. It look superb mixed with everything else in your home. I agree with you about area rugs. It's amazing how one thing can make such a change. Good luck in your new home. Thanks for inviting us into your home. I loved it. The back yard was beautiful with those trees. They was something special about each room you show us. Yes you will miss your old home but hope your new place feels like home to you after you get settled into it. Yiur a great decorator so I know you'll have fun fixing your new place up inside.

My husband and I built the house our babies grew up in (for nearly eight years) before he was transferred. The company sent a semi truck with a professional team of packers and within one afternoon our entire house went from normal to empty with everything we owned on the semi in boxes. We called it the Emergency C-Section because that’s what it felt like! I sobbed. Then realized...our house is just a big box and everything I cared for and loved was coming with me, memories and all. But now that our kids are grown and gone my husband and I still drive by that house and tear up thinking how sweet life was then and sometimes we didn’t appreciate it as we should have 💙 thank you for the tour! What a beautiful nest you made that house into!

Megan, your house is lovely! I actually think the décor goes well together throughout the house. I have only one suggestion for selling it, and this comes from my years in the military and the number of houses I have bought and sold. You might want to have your husband put up a railing for the stairs if there isn't one already. We had to do that with a couple of houses we had, so that's something I notice when house hunting now.

I love how each room isnt the same vibe and color scheme. Gives more personalized character of homeowners rather than looking magazine trendy. Thrn again my living room is coral, cream, gold & gray with bedroom midnight blue & gold, sons room gray & lime green and basement living room buckeye colors lol

I remember when we moved to our current house, I sat on the stairs, turned to my daughter and said ‘what have we done?’. But 17 yrs on, I still love my home. Houses grow on you and it’s what you put in it that makes it a home - your family. Enjoy your new home.

Just came across your video. You are so darn cute. Its refreshing to see someone from the younger generation actually talk clearly with confidence and make a video without posing every second. It’s a regional thing. I’ve always called it a bedroom set or suite, but I’ve met tons of people where I live (Lancaster County, PA) and where my dad used to live (Fulton County) who say suit. Weird-sounding, but no one forces me to say it wrong lol.

Your house is truly a home...it's so welcoming and warm with so many personal touches! Your first home is so special...we were in ours for a decade and finally moved about a year ago. Even though I was excited to be moving to a much bigger home, I cried my eyes out leaving our first house because of how much we loved it.

Megan, I LOVE your home and your Kitchen!!! So CUTE, homey and clean and neat! Nothing wrong with having a small home! I also LOVE the yard!!! 3 bedrooms, a full finished basement, what a great first home or even a home to downsize to when the children are grown and on their own! This home will sell fast!To me, this is not a small home. :) That is said with the greatest respect for you and your family Megan. You and your husband did an outstanding job on the renovation. I also noticed the pitch pipes. I come from a very conservative sect of Church of Christ. We sing a capella, and dress very similarly to you. It made me smile to see the pitch pipes, because I've never known anyone else who used them. I would love to hear your singing sometime. Like maybe around a campfire or something? We have 5 kids and it's so much fun to sing together! Our kids are old enough to sing their own parts and we have all 4 parts just with our little family. I love it!

I so agree with the tip to carpet the basement. We live in an 1150 sq. ft. house and we re-did the entire basement 6 years ago and put in carpet. I'm so thankful that we could do the basement otherwise we would have out-grown our home years ago.

I love your home it reminds me of my mother's home and you have so much yard. I am downsizing and thinking of going back.to the style of my mother's. Will you show us your new home. There were 6 of one famiiy. we didn't have a basement but similar to yours.. You and your husband have put so much love and personal touches to your home. I would buy , but would put banisters on the stairs. I am downsizing, from a two story large home,going back to something smaller with one floor. We raised 3 children and now,I need something smaller.. I have had to get rid of many heirlooms antiques, etc from relatives. so now, It's harder, but I am baby boomer and we kept everything. I am now,trying to be a minimalist, because my children will not want my lifetime accumulations. I could enjoy your home. Lancaster,is a beautiful area.

@@LoriSF124 thank you he was very young and went misdiagnosed for 9 weeks to end up in our hospital for 4 days and we were sent to university of Birmingham to find out he had wegener autoimmune disease very rare..last case they treated was 6 years ago.....we married at 16 and 17 blessed with twin boys at 22 and 23...married 36 wonderful years.....the love of my life..blessed to have him as my pastor...we were in hospital for 32 days and God called him home.......I miss him everyday and my heart aches....may God bless you

You are amazing for a Mennonite! Both of you. My Grandfather was Mennonite, and loved baseball!! Could not tear him away from the baseball game on TV. He was a Phillies fan, and a hand set printer. He did the best work! Miss him so much!

What an adorable home! It's also interesting to read the comment section to see what a standard size home is in other places. Where we live 900 is considered pretty small, even our house at 1800 is considered on the smaller side. I wish you the best on your new home!
