Looking good so far David.For the skirting just fill gaps with corking ready to paint and get yourself a nail gun and an electric screwdriver/drill to make life so much easier like when you're using no nails it will hold it firm till dry.

Normally the stop cock is near the kitchen sink however, mine was buggered and the plumber had to cut the water off out on the street and fit a new main supply stop cock. FYI a trip to Wicks for 2 push fits, a length of pipe and a pipe cutter and it gets fixed in 10 mins. Trust me I learned the hard way!

In an emergency you can use a plumbers ice pack to freeze the water whilst a stop cock is fitted.
