I made a few special modifications to my Roomba, because if you're gonna have a robot cleaning your home, why not make it the droid you've always been looking for?
@ Rax Savvage: I have a similar question: How come the Disney Co. hasn't been making like a good third _TRON_ film still yet? ??? I think the answer to both questions might be: They're too "busy" grabbing cash to think up stuff these days. :|
There were the Star Wars edition Samsung powerbot vacuums with Vader or storm trooper paint and sound effects. (I’m not sure there’s that much profit to be made in another Tron movie)
@@JSchroederee: "(I’m not sure there’s that much profit to be made in another Tron movie)" Are you so much as a Disney Co. employee that would see a cent of that preempted "not enough" profit if there were? ??? Shutup, nub! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vxEOZOSnlgk.html The Disney Co. oughta make a a GOOD third _TRON_ film, IF it's not too late (whatwith Boxleitner having already walked, last I heard some time ago). **shakes fist** Do that good third _TRON_ movie, or the Mouse gets it! images.app.goo.gl/iAAfHwseUejEXNqJA ...And they wondered what _really_ happened to Schrödinger's Cat.... steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=314405878
Cloen toorper this is more to my point. Disney isn’t making movies for art or to entertain you specifically, they’re in it for maximum profits, which means they’re focused on making a movie tuned to the widest audience for maximum profits. Which means super fans are unlikely to get the “good” niche film directly focused at their personal interests, that they want.
They do not care about the fans there. G.E is only there to push a non sense agenda that is the thread that ties the new trilogy together. In other words they don't care about being creative, honestly they aren't. Only there to lecture you about the world you live in. And not a Galaxy far far away.
3D PRINTER ? a guy who lived above me grub- made real model cars out of plastic sheets tube and what he had he get a pic of a box and start gluing it then make engines with electric motor inside fan belts all actually worked lights doors open all worked WTF i stood there as he showed me making one i never new this b4 i took a few pics i said you put yourself online make personal cars copies of realones & sell $1500 3,000 etc he said you think there that good HAA your kidding me right fook yeah bro that good
I have alot of the 1978 original 12 inch figures. One of them is R2 and it has a remote control. It goes forward and when you go backwards it turns. I also have Luke Leah Chewbacca Vader and C3PO. I also have alot of the newer 12 inch figures and about 40 small figures. But I need one of these!!!
The curved bin lid shape and the colour scheme makes this astromech look more like it belongs to a domestic rather than industrial product line. Brilliant. :)
Such a lovely idea. It needs to be adopted by other makers and re-imagined into thousands of different types of droids. I thought of ways I could go about re-building it for added functionality. Simply, Brilliant.
Very cool! It would be fun to have a few others running around too. One of those little rectangular Mouse droids that Chewbacca yells at on the Death Star would be easily fixed onto a Roomba chassis.
I want the brain of a roomba, the guts of a industrial shop vac, and the body of this. I have a woodworking shop that needs a droid so, so badly! Great work. You made me smile big.
I've always thought on that Roomba "robots" as a piece of unnecessary junk, a quick sweep will do the work of those shits in a tenth of it's time. But now it has a real purpose, and it's wonderful! Thanks for the inspiration!
Now i see this doesnt look complicated to built actually each one can build one the principal thing u need is a rc vacuum an the rest is stetic sound and mobility, great idea.
So you attached your trash bin on your vacuum cleaner. Congratulations! It is using more batteries to move this, and it can not go under the furnitures. Very good modifications. In Star Wars the cleaning droids are the mouse droids for severous reasons.
Wow, love the creativity and overall look. It's definitely a fun and cool creation. Love how it's not an insanely expensive replica but still has really cool star wars vibes. Very artsy and cool, you should consider making more or even selling some, I totally buy one. Well done👌
Thank you for sharing This awesome video. Due to health issues, I'm stuck at home. I have an idea, Make a bunch of the R9D9s and Sell them to People that can afford to buy such a Awesome Robot. May the force be with you, ALWAYS. 😇👍🏼.
Now this is a practical use for an R2 unit thats more than just a glorified prop. What it lacks in durabilihy it makes of for with its usability. Not all mech were meant for space.
