Hi harli, I just wanted to let you know that you were one of the first houseplant RU-vidrs I’ve ever watched, and that you helped inspire me to get into houseplants.
I love how the sponsors and brands that you’ve been working with have been both ethical and incredibly practical. Ngl, have been getting tired of seeing the same 3 companies dominate the RU-vid adspace, so this is refreshing :)
I dont think that bonsai's leaves fell off. They probably just recently "de-foliated" it. Its a regular part of bonsai maintenance 😊 Also, huernia flowers look like little buttholes lol
TRUTH! but what climate do you live in? I've noticed plants are cheaper in places like Florida in the US (which has a tropical climate). Up north where we have months of snow/freezing temperatures means its more costly to ship to suppliers and outdoor nurseries can only survive with their greenhouses in operation for ~4-5 months of the year. So the small supply and high demand makes prices jack up
@@laynierae2396 oh yeah for sure! I'm actually from Guatemala and most plants are grown and native to the country. That's why the extra low cost On the downside plants like a Pink princess philodendron are produced here but not sold, only for exports to the US and other countries so they won't devaluate. Which is a sad sad third world story :(
@@calmaconejo I follow a lady from Colombia and she made a video about buying a large Pink Princess for $20. She thought that was sooo expensive, I told her the same plant would cost in the USA anywhere; from $150 to $350 if not more! I am not sure if she even belived me. I love Pothos, Scindapsus and hanging Philodendrons. I enjoy collecting and have them all over my home, so far ... 70 plants and counting. Locally I find 8 inch pots for $12.99 at my local grocery store of all places. But online, big box stores and some nurseries the same plants can go for, $25-$100 for the same size/plant. Everything is over priced in the USA!!!
great shopping with Ashley and Sidney great girls hi guys i am loving plant shopping videos it lets my plant brain go wild in a happy crazy way. I just love plants. thanks for sharing Harli
Hi Harli!! I wanted to tell you that you are my first You-tuber plant channel,,along with PLanterina, Betsy Begonia , Crazy Plant Guy and Summer Rayne Oaks! Loving these plant channels as I am inside due to Corona!! Thanks for taking me along with your shopipng!!
Those Hoyas look a lot like my Hoya bilobata. It flowers little dark pinkish flowers and the leaves get very colorful when sun stressed. The leaves are thick with an almost flocked feel on the top of the leaf.
Question: what do you do with your baby while you are out? Cause I have not had a single day away from my nine month old since she was born and I am drooling over you being out and about!
Literally just got home from doing this tonight!!! Now I’m eating some dinner while watching haha !!! Found a calathea peacock and zebrina a Hoya Hindu rope and tri color and idc if I have one already I HAD to get it 😂💕💕💕
When you re pot your plants that you buy at lowes do you take the original dirt completely off so its just the bare root then re plant it in new fresh dirt??
2:15 aah a huernia!! I've been wanting one of those or a stapelia (quite similar)! Just a heads up, the flowers smell like dead bodies and attract flies to pollinate it. The flies will lay eggs on the flower (thinking it's a piece of carrion the larvae can eat, a trick by the plant to get pollinated) and the larvae will hatch, but the larvae will die (because there's no actual food source it just smells like it) so don't worry about flies reproducing in your house! That was a very long explanation I hope it makes sense haha! But yes, apart from the smell the blooms look absolutely stunning!!! 😍🌱✨
Wow this came out so fast! Super exciting! 🙌🏻 I’m so glad you all are planty friends, it is so fun! I REALLY need to go to all of these shops, the only one I have been to here in Utah is J&J. I had no idea there were more, it is a must ASAP! 💚
My in-laws live in Utah they might kill me if I spend a whole day dragging my husband to all the plant places harli shows us. Last time we were there we went to j&j
y'all are seriously THE BEST. Love your new planties! I feel like those are lacunosa and not khroniana. Khroniana tend to have more heart shaped leaves (from my experience) lol. Lacunosa seems to have longer foliage as it matures (also in my experience) lol but I'm def. no expert.
This is so unrelated to the video, but I was watching with headphones in and something about the way the sound was balanced was so perfect that I genuinely thought someone was standing behind me talking and I stood up really fast to see who it was.
That place is called Orchid Dynasty but they only have hybrid Phals?! 😂💜 I want to go out to some plant nurseries this weekend but it's 108 outside today, I don't know if I could handle that inside a greenhouse too! 🔥🔥
I recently mounted my staghorn on a piece of driftwood and now it's not doing very well. It was doing good when it was potted in dirt and now I think it's close to dead :(. I don't know what I did wrong.
Harli G you have such a nice and bubbly personality and Ashley seems very serious and independent. I say this as an outsider who only sees you through your videos and don’t mean to offend anyone😁
Such healthy plants!! My local nursery that has the most options takes the WORST care of their plants. Half of them are dying from overwatering and I always shed a tear because the plants are so beautiful. They have one of the hoya carnosas staked to wood like in this video but it is yellowing and is like 150 dollars... smh
The plant at 1:24 was ALL over when I visited paraguay! I couldn’t figure out if it was a golden pothos with really big leaves or something else! What is it?
Awesome video!! All I need is money so I can go buy plants 😂 anyways could you make a video of how you package your plant mail? It would be really helpful
2:19 even the blooms looks spikey and painful lol 4:10 I was super distracted by the cat they looked like they were really enjoying themselves 7:32 never have truer words been spoken
