Great video! I'm really jealous at how much light you get in your south facing livingroom and all of your plants look so happy n healthy for it. Thanks for sharing n be blessed!!😇
What a nice collection. Just a few tips and pointers for you (and anyone reading this comment) Propagations will root with much more ease, when the environmental and root temperatures get above 66 degrees F, with certain tropical plant varieties even above 69F! (18 Celsius/21+C) So, either wait for summer, or get a heatmat/propagation greenhouse...🤓👍 Throwing away plants bc there's bugs is unnecessary. There are great natural remedies for that! I recommend finding something with spinosad in it, just take care it will not be dripped into the sink, earth or is used on plants in the early morning, or just before rain. 🍀 Last, but not least... The pronunciation of the focus Elastica Tineke is not tee nee KEe, but Tee neh keh. It is a Dutch female name✅
Thanks for the info....all valuable stuff there! I have heard both pronunciations of Tineke. This is definitely the most popular version of the name, but you are correct for the female name one! Take care and hope to see you back in the comment section soon!
I’ve had great success doing scindapsus in a prop box with sphag! My exotica was in water for months... but it in my prop box and it did great! Same with my silvery Ann!
Oh my goodness!!! I just found your channel... I binge watch house plant videos, and am excited to catch up on your content. Once you showed Pickles, you had me!!! SOOO PRECIOUS and adorable!!!💚🥰💚 I 💖 Pickles!!!
Didn't buy anything. Need a bright light hanging plant for my bathroom window. My local nursery didn't have anything. Oh well tomorrow's another day. Any suggestions?
I finally have time to watch this and I've added so many plants to my wish list!! My family is from saskatchewan but I live in toronto and it's so exciting for me to see that there's plant lovers in prairies!
Loved the tour. I’m wanting to go shopping for some aglaonema now. Yours are so beautiful. I love the idea of wanting a vining plant to trail up the ficus. You have so many great ideas and helpful information. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks Faith. Aglaonema are such beautiful plants and I find they still get over looked a lot at plant shops. I have no idea why....super easy and beautiful. I was actually thinking of what I could do with a syngonium cutting as I wanted to try and propagate one, but definitely don't need a other individual plant. So, I thought I'd see if I could get it to vine up a plant.
Thanks so much! I have had a number of hoyas bloom for me this year. Do you have any hoyas in your collection? (never mind....I just remembered the one from your last video lol)
In my experience, the fastest way to propagate snake plant indoor is stick the cutting directly into dry general potting soil mix for 2 weeks, and then slightly mist on top of the soil every week, just slightly, not too much. You'll see new growth pop up in 5-6 weeks.
Wow. This would have been helpful 8 months ago. Hahaha Seriously, this is why I love reading the comments so we can all share eacothers successes and failures. Thanks!
Love the arrangements you did with those plants. It was an awesome tour for me and love that livingroom. thank you for the tour. Mabuhay from the Philippines! Stay safe.
I loved seeing your aglaonemas and dieffenbachias. Very beautiful plants. They and syngonium are my favorite but you don't see aglaonemas or dieffenbachias to much.i wish I could find some of your more colorful aglaonemas near me. Thanks for sharing
They are such wonderful plants and I definitely think aglaonemas are often overlooked. They are such amazing houseplants. Dieffenbachia are very toxic to animals and humans so I understand why a lot of people are hesitant to buy these.
So excited to see this! Absolutely loved it! Such a beautiful collection ❤️ and of course I love seeing your family of jade's (my absolute favourites 😍)
Yes. I had it in on the ledge of my south window but it would always get brown leaves despite watering and etc. I pulled it back about a foot or so and the new leaves aren't turning brown quite yet. I know....I can't explain it lol
Very healthy and beautiful looking plants. I always loved to watch your presentations. I want you to know my jade plant is doing grate and your suggestions reporting it to a larger pot was the answer. Its very happy now and thank you again.
Don’t give up on the exotica leaf. I had one that I propagated and the roots took so long. Once it finally rooted I planted it and it took just as long to sprout a new leaf, but it’s finally coming along.
I've had good luck with sticking scindanpus cuttings in soil to get them to root fully. 🙏🏽😊 If you put them outside in shady area they will grow even faster for you..
Thanks for the info. I think like most people I like and need to see the roots forming on a plant lol I'm not sure where you live but here in Canada there are probably only a few months you can take a houseplant outdoors. Right now the morning temps are still a bit on the cool side, but the daytime temps would be fine.
@@EverythingPlants You're very welcome!! I'm actually live in Florida.. 😅 Maybe it will be a good idea for you to keep yours inside since you live in Canada. 👍🏽 Since you like to watch the roots grow, you keep the propagations you have in the water and then also put some propagations in soil and just do a little experiment. Happy planting to you.
@@85sheena I wish we had Florida weather up here lol. Thanks for another experiment that I need to do haha. My content is turning into a plant experiment channel hahaha.
@@EverythingPlants Hahaha! The weather here is okay. Just when you go out, you always have to have a jacket and an umbrella, you never know what the weather is going to be like.. 😅 and you're very welcome. I look forward to seeing your experiment with rooting your plants in soil and in water and seeing which one roots the quickest.. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I notice you use trellis for your smaller plants, I was thinking of getting some for mine. I bought a few plants during lockdown and recently bought a few pothos and philodendrons from my local supermarket, only small and 1 or 2 small vines. I can't afford to purchase more mature plants and I love to watch them grow. Supermarkets have some great finds
I had great results with my Exotica Moss after it did nothing for weeks in water. It did so well I left it in the Moss for months before transmitting it to soil
Looks like you don’t have enough water in that glass...Put exoticas in perlite, and try to stuck them as deep as possible. I had roots in 12 days) good luck!!
It has such a beautiful pattern on the leaves. I have a smaller reflector that I almost lost to thrips. It is doing well and hope it gets large like the corrsii. Here is the most recent video with the reflector, if you are interested in seeing it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FVVIZgHi4XM.html
Your plants are so healthy. I’m impressed at how well you keep them. Loved your video and will be watching more. By the way, I have over 100 plants in my apartment and they are as beautiful as yours.
