Now you're talking!! Finally someone who isn't showing perfect, ideal growing conditions. My room is very similar, north with huge windows, and it's such a pity to not have plants there. Great selection, so lovely to see how well monstera is doing :')
Finally i found someone who talks about lighting the average person can understand!! I love your videos like this! It’s so much easier to know what lighting a plant needs when you use window direction! Thank you!!✨ 🌱 🪴
I am having a north facing front porch... after seeing your window I think I overwatered some of my plants.... will water them less now. Your collection spark my interest to get some Hoyas... they are so cute...
For sure less water is needed when there isn’t as much light for the plants in a north facing window! Hope your plants make it and you add some hoyas to my our collection in the future!
Thanks so much for this! I recently got into houseplants and really only have north facing windows that are usable for plants. Also just got a hoya krimson princess and was a little concerned it would not get enough light. Yours looks great!
Hi Gloria! My north facing window is at least twice the size of yours so it’s got a lot of indirect light, I’m trying to experiment w some medium light plants. Going into GA summer, w only north & one east facing wall.
Do you have high humidity in your room? I assumed hoyas preferred high humidity? I love hoyas and have a few mmmm may move them to my north facing window 🤔😘😘😘
I have most of my hoyas now in regular room humidity because I’m leaving my greenhouse for my aroids. They seem to be doing just fine 😅 only a few of my hoyas are in my north facing window. Majority of mine are in my south facing one
I’m trying to figure out if my pothos is getting to much light or not enough I have it and also I am propagating a few clippings in water in my office and it’s in an east facing window but I moved it back to my vanity on the other side of the office it’s getting light trying to do trial and error but I think I need to move it just not sure it’s got some burning on the leaves which made me feel like I needed to move it any tips? Thanks love your channel!
New plant mom here! I have a stupid question: if my compass reads North when pointed towards my window, is that considered to be north-facing? Thanks so much.
Are you pointing it from the inside the house? :) if so, then yes, your windows are north facing. But as a general rule, north facing windows do not get direct sunshine. Mine are a little north-west so i get some sunset light.
yah I like to shower my plants every now and again especially when they get dusty. I just get a little lazy to bring all my plants to my bathtub since I have so many now :P
