Thank you for the walk through I appreciate it, seeing the decks outer box cover it looked interesting from the era of circa 50s but for me this deck is a big no and I even find it disturbing. The deck gave me a very bad vibe of an era of so much oppression faced by women not being allowed in the work force and if they did work they faced inequality of pay, menial jobs and near zero job advancement. Also there is no cultural diversity or sexual diversity represented and some of the images are most disturbing like the house wife tied to a skewer to be cooked.?? Maybe it should be used as a shadow deck to remind us of everything wrong from back then... Tarot and oracle decks have come so far now a days and I love decks which celebrate diversity and inclusion... sorry for the rant.
Sexual diversity, no, but there were black and hispanic and asian women who literally dressed the same way, had the same hair styles, and did the exact same things. My mom was born in the 50s… I mean come on. I have this deck but can’t really connect to it. Its super cute but not one person of color. When you’re the default, you don’t have to worry about representation or connection, you’re automatically going to be. No malice is meant, just trying to explain. As for sexual diversity I wouldn’t expect to see any lgbt in this, it was the 50s… people were not “out” like that.
