I'm angry that investors have priced upper middle class people out of the market in Hawaii, and so happy that laws banning Air B & B here are helping neighborhoods stay safer and will keeps investors from destroying these neighborhoods. Bring the families back to family neighborhoods! I'd like to talk to you about these modular home ideas!

Even though I have already moved in my new build home, I still like watching about the market and knowing folks like yourself are there to educate and navigate this crazy market. Currently trying to list my house and close on another at the same time. Everything in this video hits home. Trying to take advantage of a sellers market but I'm being progressively edged out of every house in my price range

Andrew was such a help to me in responding to my email when I was trying to purchase a house. I was so nervous about the process but watching his video's helped me so very much. We bought a house due to the economy and the crazy rent prices in Florida. The rent increased by $1000 in the last year. A 1 bed 1 bath with a attached garage use to be $1700 and now it is $2700. Meanwhile the wages stay the same. Our mortgage payment per month is $1900 for a 3 bed 2 bath. Who wouldn’t buy in Florida if rent is skyrocketing!

The housing market is insane. Even as a federal employee, making a decent wage, I still have no hope of being able to buy a home any time soon. Even the rental market in the Denver metro area is out of control. My focus is just paying off debt and saving what I can. Maybe by 2024 I can hope to buy a house…🤔

Indeed the housing market is very high right now and per the predictions that I shared with everyone in this video, I believe that the market will taper off later this year and potentially start going down into a corrective market. That said the 2023 and the 2024 for real estate markets will be much different. And the opportunity for you to purchase a home it’s coming my friend. Keep doing you, keep living your best life, and keep making things happen everything is going your way.

Mr Finney is absolutely one of the best realtors ever! Because we watched his videos we were able to purchase our 1st home beginning of 2020 when home prices were low, and interest rates even lower !!! What a great time to buy !! If you plan on buying a home, ask Andrew for advice on the market . He is extremely knowledgeable and will give you an honest advice

Inflation will gradually taper off and it will likely take somewhere between 12 and 24 months before we start noticing meaning for improvements. Well our hold is the cost of building so we have a great lot, a house plan but the price has gone up so much we are gonna sit on the lot and hope the prices for raw materials come down. We want to sell and take advantage of the market but we cannot justify the high cost to build right now.

You bring up a really good point and one that we touched on inside this video. If somebody is in a position to sell a property, the real question is where do you go next. With that in mind many people are opting to improve their existing homes opposed to purchasing a new home. One thing that I’ve noticed on my channel, is the amount of viewers topics I’ve created previously about home equity lines of credit and refinancing mortgages are being viewed more and more of late. So let me ask you, if everything went the way that you wanted, what would you guys decide to do?

@@AndrewFinney if pricing was stable and not going up rapidly on building materials we would be building this year. One of the reasons to build was we couldn't find anything suitable that met our needs in our price range. When did find anything they were snatched up quickly last summer! We have 100% equity in our home (mortgage free) and wanted to build but at our age we can't and won't go over our budget. So we have to decide on whether or not to sell the lot or wait to see if builder costs come down cause at $250 to $300 sq ft it's not happening.

Building a new home now. Signed a contract last October but what I want to do is start the mortgage now. (ie: 🔐 in on a rate now) Any suggestions?

Hi Harry! Thank you for watching. Congratulations on your new home, that’s exciting. To answer your question contact your loan officer, and let them know that you want to lock your rate now. Another question to ask them as asking them about the rates and costs to lock your rate and if it’s beneficial to you to do it now or if you should wait a little bit longer. The rates definitely are going up, so it’s a good conversation to have sooner than later. Please let us know how everything goes for you. Sending you positive vibes everything goes your way.

@@AndrewFinney we did and they said to wait until 90 days out I can lock. Trouble is - foundation poured last Wednesday and I don’t think we are close yo 90 days to close.

How did we get to this shortage of houses?

Excellent question! The shortage of homes actually began after the 2008 collapse. Back then the builders were building at a rate that exceeded the true demand in the market. Afterward many builders were put out of business or consolidated by being acquired by larger entities. This resulted in a slow down an amount of housing starts a.k.a. the amount of homes being built and it is never caught pace to the current buying demand.
