"Here's a ground ball right side could do it... *THE HOUSTON ASTROS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS* " I will forever have that in my mind and love that phrase until the end of time... I'm glad I got to see them make history
@20Bulle Amen to that.Looky here, l am 56 years old.l was a week old when the Houston Colt .45s won their first regular season game against the Chicago Cubs 11-3 April 10,1962. Man I seen the ' Stros go up &down for years during the '70s,80s etc..Then when the Killer B's started buzzing l paid closer attention. Now when they had to play for the NL pennant l would not watch the last game because I felt a superstition thought.I told my mom call me the second they win.I will never forget when I switched channels, Bagwell put his head down across his arms on the railing.I guess he was releaved that t team finally got into the World Series. I really don't remember any of the games of the World Series seeing how we were swept. That was a sinking feeling.I started listening to the broadcast on the radio in 2015 and have caught nearly all the games.I hope and pray that they do it all over again.Today they tied so far with as many wins, taking the first of the doubleheader.Just now Houston won the second game 5 -2, 103 wins. One more game tomorrow.Hopefully they can sweep the songbirds.
Didn't get to see any of the games in that 05' World Series (due to heading back to Iraq). Only the last out of game 4. I cried. Lol. But it was a heartbreaker. Waited so long to see em make it for it to go the way it did. Would have loved to see that team win it but 17' was good.
From coming out of nowhere, moving to the American League, going through a painful 100+ loss season, going to the playoffs in 2015 only to gift-wrap the ALDS to the Royals, going through a shitty season in 2016, and to dominating in 2017, the Houston Astros are World Series Champions! I've been an Astros fan since I was 4, and I finally got to see them win a championship. Let's do it again in 2018!!!
Growing up in the Houston area in the 70’s and 80’s, it’s hard to express how deeply satisfying it was to beat the Dodgers to win it all.. A great Dodgers team, at that..
@@RubenLopez01 Stop.. lol.. Your team couldn’t beat a HS team the way they played.. Your 3 best hitters went 12-80 with almost 30 K’s.. lol.. And you lost 2 games at home, and your closer gave it up twice.. lol..
9:28 I will never forget that hit. That hit changed the whole series. That hit gave the Astros hope that no matter who’s pitching, no matter what inning, they will find a way to fight back. That hit won us the World Series.
Na no excuses they weren’t at home and it was confirmed that they didn’t cheat on the road plus it was also confirmed it didn’t help what so ever so no excuses
@Levi Thompson bro don’t be ignorant it shows on the stats when they used it and when they didn’t and they scored more runs when they didn’t (it’s a proven fact they didn’t use it on the road and they had better home road splits on the road) 🤦♂️
Admittedly this video brought me a ton of smiles when I originally watched it..I openly wept the night the Astros clinched the World Series. Thirty-one years that I have been alive. Seeing it finally happen from the really good years in 1997/98/99 and 2001 to the Scrap Iron years with 2004 and 2005. I thought when the "shortcut to hell" started in 2013 that they were a bit insane. But honestly, the journey has been completely worth it. I just wish that Milo was still with us and calling the final out.
The min correa came into the league I knew Astros were going somewhere that kid brought alot of enthusiasm into the team even more with altuve and Springer and that's why everyone in that ball club have good chemistry cus they all love to play and have fun at the same time and is why 2017 was there year to show everyone what baseball is all about .Thanks to my Astros for making Baseball great again and from here until I die game 5 will forever be the best game in History . 2017 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS 🤘🚂🍊
@@fomofreddy7306 well Morton didint cheat, I doubt the pitchers could have anyways other than what? Pine tar? Everyone does that so who really cares about it except Bauer
I lost everything and everyone due to Harvey and I don’t even watch baseball but this year I did and watching the hope and joy the astros brought back to Houston this year was amazing. I will forever remember this year for the pain and also the joy. Thank you astros years later and now at 22 I will forever thank you❤ Houston strong forever
Wish my dad was still here so he could have seen this, the last time he saw his boys in the world series i was in Fort Benning GA going through basic training with the Army. He would send me the whole Houston Chronicle newspaper to help keep me up to date on the Astros. I wish I could have been able to see at least one world series game with my dad, he was an astros fan from the beginning until the very end of his time. They did it dad, four years after you passed away, they finally have a WS title.
This video just puts a HUGE smile on my mug...so proud of my boys in H-TOWN!!..and to think just a couple of years ago back to back 100+ loss seasons...#Wevebuiltamonsterinhtown..))
I will always enjoy this video. My whole life, I have stayed with the Astros through bad and great moments. This team is literally my heart. Go Astros! 🧡💙
Andres Did I say it was legit in this comment? No. So stop commenting at me, looking for an argument and then when I give it to you, you get mad. Leave me alone dude and let me live my life. You don’t know what is going on.
Andres Thats not the first time you said that. Probably the billionth time you said that. Just shut up and stop commenting the EXACT SAME THING to me on every single video.
I was just watching this, night before opening day 2018, and it brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for the great video of the Astros great season. Altuve just got signed til2024 for 151million!!!!
This run was incredible. The legendary things they did brought hope and light to a battered city. Some of the worst times in my life. I lost my home. My neighborhood was utterly destroyed. Watching them win the WS was the highlight of an already horrible year I watched it from a temporary apartment with nothing in it. Just family and memories. Thank you astros. Lets do it again.
James Williams yeah, well....Whoever made this video felt that it would add even more emotion. Very good embellishment I might add. Oh well. Who Cares!
Just wish the first win wasn't tainted and 2 series we won them.. I'm an Astros fan but it just sucks that scandal happened but nothing can take away the time I was happy then
Helps some animals’ vision - Some animals (including birds, bees and reptiles) are able to see into the near UV light to locate many ripe fruits, flowers and seeds that stand out more strongly from the background. The fruits, flowers and seeds often appear quite different from how humans see them. For example, when seen in UV light, some flowers have different line markings, which may help direct bees and birds to the nectar. Aids some insects’ navigation - Many insects use UV emissions from celestial objects as references for navigating in flight. This is why a light sometimes attracts flying insects by disrupting their navigation process.
That has to be horrible for a fan to go from the elation of feeling like a winner (even though you had nothing to do with the result nor will you ever know anyone on the team) then suddenly becoming the disgrace of major league baseball. Now the title will never be recognized by fans of the game, the organization a complete farce, and the punishment is on the way. MLB fans were cheated because the the league knew this was going on and what should happen next is a massive class action lawsuit by the fans - the coverup was there and people paid, gambled, etc on this game while an active cheating scheme was running wild and the league knew about it.
This is such an Amazing Video! I will forver love my Houston Astros! And this Championship will forever be ingrained in my mind! Quick question, what was the Background Music you used in this video? At the beginning. You used two different Songs! They sound pretty amazing!
I don't know what song it is, but I'm 75% sure that's Two Steps From Hell. They fo heroic, sci-fi sounding stuff you can drop into pretty much any sword and sorcery, space opera, sports film or war movie. Generically epic, but really well done.
I have been searching all their songs. Still haven't found it. I am searching some other similar groups as well. I wish I knew the name and then I could just find very easily. I really want the Song but can't find it lol. It is really awesome!
Does anyone know the opening track he uses for this video? I have searched everywhere and can't find it. I really really like it and would be very grateful if anyone could lead me to it!
