I was cheering for the Dodgers this series but I do thank the Astros for eliminating Boston in the ALDS.

Yea best team they beat was the Yankees tho. Yankees gave up only 20 runs in the 7 games unlike the Dodgers who gave up 34 runs in the 7 games meanwhile they had home field advantage. That is pitiful for a world series team. I can't even say the Dodgers were a top 3 team in baseball despite their win total during the season. The best AL teams are way better than the best NL teams and it was proven this postseason. 1- Houston 2- Yankees 3- Indians 4- Dodgers.

In the life of the MLB, cheating is considered a dare to the rules. Teams and/or players will try to take advantage of loopholes to win and some fans of those players/teams will defend them. Keep in mind, the Astros only did this in the regular season for a few months and they never did it in the playoffs.

cuz I believe other teams were doing it so if they didn’t do anything, they would’ve been at a disadvantage. It just comes down on the commissioner for letting it get as bad as it did.

Honestly the worst part is how misinformed so many fans seem to be about the situation. Calling players cheaters who hadn’t even debuted in 2017 or were on a different team. Booing Altuve despite him never cheating. The only 2 players left who cheated are Bregman and Gurriel, who were in their first full season in 17. Not to mention the cheating made this World Series win more surprising, considering how if you look at their stats at home compared to away, the cheating actually made them worse. They had better stats on the road in every category except SB. And they didn’t cheat for 3 years like many believe, it was may-September 2017, no post season, no 2018, no 2019.

I think people sometimes forget that LA had home field advantage and went 2 for 2 there.

Why do you think that only the Astros were cheating??? Many teams were doing it to get an edge over the other teams. The Yankees, Red Sox, dodgers, etc were cheating as well. However, the MLB brass didn't want the "legacy" teams like the ones I just mentioned, to get outed because they are considered too important for the MLB to get caught. Did u read the MLB letter that was published earlier this year that mentioned that the Yankees and Red Sox got caught cheating in 2015 and 2017, and fined $100,000 and the league kept it quiet??? MLB used the Astros as the scapegoat. That's why all the Astros players were given immunity. Guess who bought the cheating to Houston, Carlos Beltran, ex Yankee.

Your point is still valid in that their team was built and not bought, but I just wanted to make the point that it was an exaggeration to say they had one of the lowest payrolls. However, it's impressive that the teams they beat in the postseason (Dodgers, Yankees, and Red Sox), had the #1, #2, and #3 highest payrolls in the league. And the Astros beat them all. Very impressive.
