Houston has been full of crime and murder for many years. That's why they're trying to recruit the Dallas Police Chief to try and reduce their crime rate. The state has taken over their school district because it routinely fails all educational standards.
I could listen to that police guy talk all day. He seriously has a voice good enough for radio- if radio was still a thing. He should narrate movies or become a podcaster.
first off, Houston ain't never been classy... secondly, it is in Texas and if you gonna try to rob someone, you have to be pretty stupid to do so in a state that is well known for many folks carrying protection.
The inventor of police body armor Second Chance was a pizza delivery guy in Detroit. He shot and killed two armed robbers while delivering pizza. HIs name is Richard Davis. He would demonstrate his body armor by shooting himself in the chest with a 44 magnum. The video is on RU-vid.
He probably knew the delivery driver from before, possibly a prior stint behind the walls or from some old neighborhood beef.. Some of these thing linger for yrs and you catch up with an old rival and it's on... Because I can't believe the driver would pull out his firearm over some random customer talking smack..
It is when idiots try to rob folks, and now the family whining about why the driver had a gun, instead of why they were trying to steal from someone. That is the messed up part of the world. Driver should be applauded for defending himself and those that are defending the thief should get his prison sentence as well.
We can pretty well guess what happened here the costumer tried to get a free meal and probably tried to rob the delivery driver the pizza delivery driver used self-defense

Way to show that you didn't follow any of the actual story. The delivery driver was attacked as they attempted to rob him, he defended himself and one of the thieves got shot and died. The driver stayed on scene and answered questions for investigators. The driver should not see any jail nor prison time for defending himself.
What update would you like to know? The dead guy was 21 year old Areyeh White that along with other, yet to be publicly identified, individuals attacked and attempted to rob the pizza delivery driver. The driver defended himself and managed to shoot Areyeh several times and get away. The driver called for help from police and returned to the scene to answer questions of investigators and has been cooperative with the investigation. At this point no charges are pending (nor should they ever be brought) against the driver as the investigation is supporting his claim of self defense. There were other witnesses to the incident as well. An interesting side note is that about 3 days prior to this incident, another delivery driver was attacked and robbed at gun point in this very apartment complex. That driver was severly beaten, robbed of money and personal property, and had his vehicle stolen.
