nobody wants those cookie cutter homes 45 miles from the city lol and they are now 350-500k+ for that price you might as well go to the outskirts of LA at least you are in driving distance to a nice beach and entertainment. You can go 30 minutes outside of LA and pay that price. A home near downtown in the heights with a yard is 1.2 million. 1.2 million will get you a home in the hollywood hills
This is what I’m struggling with 😂😂! LA and surrounding area would be my 1st 2nd and 3rd choice but damn is it expensive! I’ve found more afford places not too far from downtown Houston for a lot less. Drive out to Spring and Katy in Houston and more bang for your buck although price is getting up there. LA scene and landscape all day!!
I've both been and lived in the other megacities: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago. Houston is easily the most enjoyable to live in I think. The other big 3 feel like human gutters. So crowded and heartless. Houston has its issues, but feels more likeable. If I could move to that area from where I am now, I probably would
This is my current situation! I’ve been wanting to live in LA since I was 7… the whole draw of me wanting to be an actor, the lifestyle of the stuff I’ve seen on tv, the palm trees 🌴, the weather, the diversity, the landscape and natural beauty and so much more. Visited several times and although I want to live there still I feel priced out! Houston always seemed like a boring city to me until I actually visited. Twice in as many months then found out I had family there. The economy is much more affordable but it is flat. Cheaper flights to everywhere because it’s right in the middle of the country. Houston will probably be my next choice but LA always had my heart. If I could afford it and not struggle LA would definitely be it! Everyone says move to Katy, Cypress and Spring but I prefer it closer to the water near Clear Lake. I’m considering Webster and League City!
Yeah, LA is more expensive but you need to factor in the things that the city offers. Doubt anything beats LA in terms of entertainment let alone it’s natural beauty all around. Houston is extremely flat, rains a lot and is always hot/humid. Nothing can beat LA weather tbh
“Million dollar homes just aren’t what the average person can buy” I think that sums it up. If you’re OK with being average live in Houston, if you’re trying to be exceptional your going to have to put up with LA prices and make it happen.
Riiiiiiiiight! And the whole while Houston has way more millionaires && billionaires residing in && around its city limits and metro area then L.A,Names like samone biles, James harden,50 cent,Rick Ross,NBA youngboy, drake etc I would say thts anything but average if you ask me🤷🏿♂️But you seem like someone tht tries entirely to hard to keep up w/ the joneses🤣and probably secretly struggling in the process just so you could feel important and good abt yourself how#pathetic🤣🤣😂
htown won fosho , im 5 hrs away from htown and i really want to move out there im currently 16 and im planning to go to the university of houston and stay to live out there would you reccomend the move
Man that’s awesome!! Houston gonna treat you right. Honestly by the time you make it to college downtown is all going to be different… hopefully for the better. But I’d recommend, depending on your budget mid town, memorial park and if you don’t mind driving to school Friendswood or Pearland. Hope this helped! I’ve been in Houston 26 years and trust me… this is not the time to move here.. please watch the Houston news and look how many shoots and crime it is everyday.. don’t even mention Texas has the highest death rate on the road 4,400+ deaths
LA all day. I bought a house in Houston (Katy) and me and my family lived in the area for 7 months and hated the people and weather. We spent one day in LA suburbs and loved it... everyone was hella cool. Now we're trying to sell our Texas house to move out west. The weather, the nice people... even the gangstas gave us directions to the best taqueria in the area and dabbed us up. If you can afford 600k to buy a 3 bedroom house in a decent neighborhood, make the move to the best coast, west coast.
I never been to Los Angels but since I only live six hours away now I will visit this year. I’m from Houston and our skyline is fireeee, as a matter of fact. If you are are in the a building off of the 59north if its tall and you are on the top floor looking out of a window, it look like Houston have three skylines. The medical center, WestChase/Galleria area and The DownTown! Hella sick! I doubt LA can beat Houston😭 I want to go back home Arizona is boring 😢
5:41 thats almost dpuble the price my home is, and my home is way bigger and has two stories and i got it for 400,000$ wow edit: ph, and also, houston won easily. 3:1
I think houston caues it more diverse than Los Angeles more to Texas as it will give y a better life and we are friendly state Texas is lot better than California I love my Texas state. We have no state in common tax but California prices are outrageous than Texas and Texas as want y do be comfortable and life better life style. HOUSTON y win this.
I could literally drive from Texas to LA during one of your "heat waves" and sell you a 32 pack of bottled water and you'd buy it for whatever price I demanded. If I found 50 morons in LA (which shouldn't be too hard) I'd probably be a millionaire after selling 50 cases of water. But I'm a humble guy so I don't do that. You're welcome
