Better way to auto hover and go down with a button press is too take a OR gate and speed sensor connect both to a XOR gate. Then connect XOR gate to your thrusters. Then set the green output on OR and XOR gate to whatever button/key you want to go down.
Storm, the way you did off switch can indeed be improved and I recommend using a triple XOR gate for this job, you leave your speed sensor connected to your main XOR while the other ones are also connected to the main one separately and one for positive and negative value, this way it blocks the gate itself and you don't have to worry about timing it with the jets. It has many uses besides this one. Hope it helps man
Oh and 10:06 if you want to go down you can hook the speed sensor to an xor gate and the xor gate to the thruster, give the thrusters your up button, hook two or gates( both with your down button) into the thrusters xor gate. Because they both are activated at the same time they are basically overriding the xor turning off the thrusters. I know it isn't the most compact system but it works for me🤷
@ProjectSTORM-qb4cn I'm absolutely horrible with logic but I've just been trying to make more complex creations recently and a hover creation was on of them lol.
You said that the ufo engine isn't your favorite engine, maybe you should make an video about your favorite engine. Also you are a great trailmakers creator and I hope you reach a thousand subscribers before your birthday!
Thank ya so much, I’m hoping for it, and my favorite engine may be for a later date because it’s preeeeeety advanced and has quite the learning curve to perfect. It’s called the splitter engine… you can imagine what it does to blocks 🤣
Great video Storm and Happy Birthday! I see your Sub's have tripled in like 2 days, Congrats! If you set a sensor with a 0.01 constant out put ( I usually use distance sensors ) it will eliminate the spool up time of dragon jets and I think it works with the new large jets as well, Also you can use the Alt key to spin blocks, and if you hold both alt and shift it will spin the other way, great for those speed builds. Also I agee that the sound of the UFO is the best sound in the game, can pick that out in any build
Wussup people, very sorry for the mic quality, I’m gonna get a new mic on Wednesday so hopefully the videos until then go well. Be prepared for no content sadly for a couple of days just in case ⛈️
Ive been doing ufo engines differently, instead i move a wedge into the ufo and 30 degrees work fine. I havent tested different angles. This moves me forward and not backwards as people might expect.
Happy birthday, keep making videos this good and you'll be hitting sub milestones as regularly as I hit my toe on that one piece of my wall that juts out like half an inch.
Love the technical videos! I was wondering if its possible to make a railgun or launcher thats fires projectiles extremely fast, as most railguns Ive seen just lob projectiles and trying to push them any further results in the projectile spinning out of control
I’ve never tried but if you balance out the axis of the ufo engines yes it should! Since the jets that are placed against the block make a lot of downforce or lift, you should place two ufo engines one right side up and one upside down. 👍
The Omni directional thing doesn’t seem to work. I follows every instruction and rewatched the clip 3 times but I still can’t find what the problem is.
Real Talk, we need to get you a mic that's NOT attached to your headset. Razor or Shure smb7. Razer with a 30-dollar boom will fix those hot spikes when pronouncing P's and such. If you want to pursue that side of your content and channel growth. Also, banger video, my friend. It's an absolute pleasure to say we're friends and cohorts.
Good ol fashioned wheels go a long way and are hella reliable so agreeable 🤣. And yes I love creating content and molding a community of awesome people, sorry I haven’t been around for a while but I will continue to create for as long as possible 🫡
You're doing great as a starter creator bro. I've seen a lot of vids from people who've been uploading for years and they're boring as hell. Keep it up! But kill that Discord notification please lol. I keep checking mine thinking it's my computer haha. Also, video idea: I'd love to see if you can make a deployable anti-air auto-turret dropped from the back of a vehicle. Probably rotating on a servo and using distance sensors aimed at maybe 45 deg? I know it's possible with an XOR gate but I can't seem to execute it properly.
Oh man, I should make a tutorial on auto turrets because those are my favorite types of creations. This is next. I have already made a anti-helicopter auto turret but the 50 meter range really limits how much you can do! As I said, this is next 😊
im curious, as your mic seems to be veeery good, but it just gets alot of interference, and i do believe that is fixable without needing to get a new mic. if you were to look into it, you should be able to boost your videos to an even greater quality (not that they are bad in the slightest.) also, seeing as you play trailmakers, you are probably not bad at engineering, so it shouldnt be too hard.
One thing I found out a while ago but only recently fully understood is using sideways wheels, which severely lower friction. I used it to make a bumper car.
