When you’re on vacation, I wouldn’t leave your ring at home. I recommend keeping it at an offsite location, people are weird and it’s a safer option IMO. (Lockbox at a bank, a loved one’s home, etc.)

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! 💒 As a native NY’er - never spend lots of time in the Times Square area or Herald Square (West 34th Street) when the flagship Macys department store is located. While the shopping is great - shady characters will ALWAYS be in those areas due to the amount of tourists shop and visit the area! NEVER floss in either of those areas. If you want to feel relatively comfortable wearing your drip - do that on Madison or Fifth Avenue-upper East side -in the 50s and up. You will be in “like company” - all the high end stores are located on Fifth and Madison Avenue (Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Bergdorf Goodman, Fendi, etc., etc.! Still be aware of your surroundings, but Times Square is not it!! I am older than ya’ll and I cannot stand it over there and I know the area very well - don’t do it!! But, the food in NY is amazing and people are cool for the most part!! Be Blessed 🙏🏾❤️ and congratulations again!! #LOVEANDLIGHT

This was so so cute!! As a person who waited and wanted to stay engaged for at least two years I will tell yall this- IF you choose to wait it’s not really necessary. Once we got married we were like we should have and could have done it wayyyy sooner lol so I get your family’s wanting to just plan the process. Remember life is short! And married life is way better than finance life 😉 ETA: NYC you can be fresh but not head to toe… just like one or two items and not super expensive either.
