Another good tip. Despite what a lot of gig tubers like to tell you, there's nothing wrong with going back to W2 work. If you've tried everything you can think of, and it's just not hitting in your market, stop throwing good time after bad.

Consider starting a small business. It’s not difficult, and it’s a tremendous advantage economically, the write offs are amazing. I’ve had a few for example, detailing cars. Use gig apps to fill-in while you get off the ground.

I'm in a smaller town of like 18K people in the extremely north part of Wyoming. Everything is completely different in this market, and It's been hard to try and explain to newer dasher's what they need to be requiring for orders. See way to many of them ranting on social media about no-tippers and such. I hate to say it, but I'm awaiting for Tax Time to hit and make the majority of these newer dashers quit. I've already went to a W2 job for my primary income, was disappointed that gig work has had the decline it has in my market. I will still do doordash and Walmart Sparks in some of my down time, but it is nothing like it used to be. Thanks for all the video's Pedro, It helped me become the independent contractor I am today.

Good tips, Pedro. 💯💯💯 I’m in Ann Arbor, MI running 7 apps right now. Gig economy is pretty healthy here. DoorDash is only a fraction of my gig income now, maybe around 50 bucks a week. My AR is about 30 and I still get large orders. I had to start saying NO to trash on all of my platforms & it’s paying off. Really glad I have more options these days.

@@fredc8618 I do Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, dlivrd, DeliverThat, Amazon Flex & Walmart Spark. I have Point Pickup, but the orders are a bit far away from me. I turn on the highest average earning apps first. dlivrd gives me catering orders the day before which gives some structure to my gig work since DooDash doesn’t give me as many catering orders as they used to. I use standard food delivery orders to fill in gaps between higher paying grocery/package delivery/catering/shopping orders. Sometimes I do regular food delivery when I’m not in the mood to lift heavy things.

Idk about low stress. I've been threatened by random food employees for asking about my order. I've gotten flat tires. I've almost been hit by drunk drivers on several occasions. I just started December 27th, and my market is Philadelphia. Specifically, NE Philly… what I’ve learned; -distance matters most -peak pay is crucial -$2 per mile is necessary -anything over 5 miles requires $3 per mile (5 miles = 15 minutes one way) -people don’t tip or tip well I’m still testing out different hours, day, and different zones. I recently had my best day in a new zone, but it was 6 hours of $3 peak pay

Hi I just moved in Huntingdon Valley which is right outside of NE Philly and I am having horrible luck out here. The Bryn Athyn zone is not good, the NE philly zone isnt good. Jenkintown isnt as good as I thought it would be. The Bensalem zone is somewhat better than the other ones. The tips in all of these zones are crappy compared to the zone I came from. I used to live in the Ft Washington/Horsham zone and it was so much better in that zone. I am still sometimes driving out to that zone to make money but its a bit of a drive so I am using miles driving to and from there. I think I may try the pay per hour in the Bryn Athyn zone today and see how that goes for me

The issue with my location is Distance to and back to the hot zones.. I have a lot of rural deliveries, therefore I always take that travel back to the area I want to be in. I do try my best to get to an area that will possibly get me an order on the way back but that is not always a guarantee. So your example of the 19 for 11 miles, I will take that. However the only time I will ever take the 3.00 is if im trying to keep my acceptance rate up.. This is a side job for me so the Dash anytime is important due to the fact that I only have certain times to do it. As usual Pedro, you are completely on point and its nice to see someone else in the same headspace. Keep up the good work sir.

I’m in Live Oak Florida, population 7000-10000 we have 23 restaurants available and orders are relatively consistent. But recently has been very bad. Looking forward to things picking up.

I would say, depending on your market, I have noticed that if you can get your acceptance rate up enough and then get top dasher the orders that they give, you are good enough that you don’t even have to worry about watching on your mileage very much because they’re all very good and then you just have your acceptance rate stay up higher indefinitely

My current acceptance rate is 94percent... before I get the heat. I make 1.5 dollars a mile, usually 250-300 a day... My average order is 10-15 per order. The highest I saw my ar was 97 percent.. At that level, I was seeing only 15-20 per order...

I like to keep my Google maps open and type in the address real quick if I’m unsure if it’s residential or commercial.

I’ve been working more dinner and 3rd shift lately. Nothing else to do that late at night anyways so might as well make some money and it suits my lifestyle. I exercise in the morning, eat and sleep and then out the house by 5pm when it gets busy. There’s not much of a breakfast or dinner rush in my market anymore. Instacart has been popping off lately though for me.

try 7 days a week and find if breakfest or lunch is better in your area. , lock in a schedual. keep checking it every hour. and at midnight for beter times. you can hold times if you want. then delete when a better one comes threw. if your a top dasher you wont i guess.

In terms of order selection, best litmus test is, “if I got orders like this all day, how would my day go”

I live in the middle of no where on a market line where i have to drive to the east or west "city" to see the market pop up. It's awful. But there was this snow storm yesterday and the dash turned every order into a +$5 delivery. Generally our orders are all over are over 15 miles and under 6 dollars. Dash by hour is now available but i live on the state line where it pays 15 a hour or 7.50 depending on if i go left or right 5 miles.

Took the Words right out of my mouth Pedro when you said stop listening to content creators and do what you know is best for you and your market. I’ll tell people that all the time. That is the best advice ever 😎

Hey Pedro. Been watching for 3 years. 17000 deliveries. Been low AR high AR. I have always taken your tips and used them as they pertain to my market. I adjust as needed. Your tips have really helped as long as I use them as my market dictates. I'm in a suburb of indianapolis. Use to do shop and deliver but low tips here in this area so I no longer do those. Pizza delivery is money here. Thanks for your tips. You are right. They do work as long as you apply them to your area

I am a new dasher. Literally one month in. I cherry pick. I average 22/30 per hour. I only dash between 1130am and 430pm. My area has roughly 14000 people..smaller city but overall alot of food places. I normally dash and average of 2 active hours most times i go out.
