How 2023 Went & Plans for 2024 - Happy New Year!

Hey Luke, well done for doing 6 out of 10 on your 2023 list mate! I like lists, my problem is, I loose the list🤣 My 2024 resolution is, don’t loose the list!! Seriously though, some good points on your list for 24! Agreed about the news, I hardly watch any tv! And it’s good to just stop and take note of your surroundings! I really want to get more organised with my RU-vid channel this year, and create more, and better Astro video’s! But it’s not easy, so we’ll see! Must wright my list now, so where’s the pen?🤣 I hope 24 gives you what you want, happy new year to you and your family Luke! Clear skies!

I've been enjoying following you through 2023 as well. You've inspired me to take a few steps further in my astro-journey. Including building a pier and purchasing a cooled, dedicated astronomy-camera. Whish you all the best for 2024 Luke, you deserve it.

Hey mate - Great to hear how much you've accomplished off the list Luke! I can definitely second the exercise one. My recommended strategy is have something like an exercise bike and just get straight on it out of bed and then add on anything else. Means you don't give yourself chance to talk yourself out of it. I try three times a week to do this, mostly it works.

i’ll echo what others have said too, great job getting so many things done on your list this year! i definitely agree with the mindfulness, i very much dislike the name and its association with spiritualism and all that, but it genuinely is really really important, i’ve got pretty severe depersonalization disorder and i can attest that without mindfulness there’s really not much to life, and practicing it will always be beneficial. ive just put together my first PC and last night got pixinsight and RC’s tools running, i’m very excited to start processing with them! that’ll be one of my goals, learn pixinsight to its full capacity, no doubt with the help of some of your tutorials ;)

Happy New Year Luke! Thank you for all the tutorials. I really grew a lot this year from watching and learning from you. I love your 2024 goals and am just going to copy and paste. Hopefully you catch on to painting nebula quickly and can make some youtube tutorials of that process. I'm still trying to learn that as well. hahaha And I need to work on my 3rd language more so your list is definitely applicable here. I think astrophotography gives us the time and space to do mindfulness. I love that about this hobby.

Lists are great. I need to make my list as well. Really think theyre amazing and goal setting: something to focus on. This years list seems really good. As did last years list. If you want company for an astronomy trip hit me up. Would love a bit of that too.

Hey mate hope you all have a happy new year & as for going back to painting you've gotta get a Bob Ross wig & do a video of those happy little trees!! I loved the wild camping videos they were hilarious although work is needed on the corn beef hash stew thing lol. Yeah I did some live streams it's a bit weird although I did give Ollie the inspiration for the ping of doom song 🤣 Anyhow you all take care clear skies!!

I started fishing again recently as I’m currently without a scope and have taken an Astro break for 5 months now. Nothing like getting out there in nature to re charge the batteries. As you say the benefits outlast the experience, great stress relief. All the best buddy
