I wonder why the lap times were so slow relative to fp3. Usually there is a big delta between fp3 and q3 around singapore but this time it is only 1 tenth.
Besides, the red flag in Q3 didn’t do the drivers any favors, had they been able their first laps, we’d probably have seen some 29.3 or even lower maybe. In fact if you look closely most drivers did their best lap in Q2😂
i think when you put the data tables on screen for the minimum speeds, maybe make the colour of the lower numbers red. idk might just help it be a bit easier to read
I highly recommend you attend a race or an F1 promotional event where you can hear the V6 turbo-hybrid cars in person. I went to the Las Vegas Grand Prix launch party back in November 2022. They closed down a section of the strip so Lewis Hamiltom and George Russell could do donuts and full-throttle runs up and down the strip itseld in the Mercedes W12 from the 2021 season, and Checo did the same in Seb's championship-winning V8 RB7 from the 2011 season. Obviously, the V6 can't really compare to the previous-generation V8s in terms of sound. I was on the sidewalk right in front of Caeser's Palace, less than 25ft from both cars as they were doing donuts, and the exhaust pipes were pointing directly at me when they pulled away and accelerated down towards the other end of the strip. I could even feel the exhaust pulses hitting me in the chest. The RB7 sounded absolutely glorious, and I could hear its exhaust echoing through the skyscrapers even when it was at the other end of the strip. That said, I was really impressed by the turbo-hybrid V6. They are loud as hell in person, and they sound unlike any other car I've ever heard. I do actually think they sound incredible, just not as good as the V8s, V10s, or V12s of the late-1980s-early-2010s. There's a bit more low-end bass in their exhaust note, along with a lot of turbo/wastegate noise that you can't hear on TV/RU-vid recordings.
since this upgraded Mclaren shines in high speed corners, I’d like to see what this current version could do on a track like Saudi Arabia where it’s mostly high speed
an extra drs zone but i believe the track had much lower grip this year so the cars could have been even faster? norris was only a tenth faster than his fp3 time
