On September 11, 2001, the World Wide Web experienced unforeseen traffic amid the attacks that had just occurred in New York City, temporarily shutting down many websites due to traffic overload. The events of 9/11 did not just change the world, it also changed how we use internet.
This video does not discuss the events of 9/11, but instead focuses on how it changed the technological structure of the World Wide Web, as well as the customs of online culture that existed afterwards.
