Brics Parliament if materialises will be the biggest political development of 21st century. I think western imperialist and NWO proponents will do every thing to stop this ftom materialising. Going the EU route could work well, but if constituent countries have to surrender sovereignty to the decisions of this parliament, that might start defeating the multipolarity purpose. It's a careful balancing act with a lot of different interests in question.

BRICS establishes a more fair system for world order but it will be fought tooth and nail by special interests that profit from the established world order. Do not expect expect this fight to be without bloodshed.
Let's think about what parliaments do. They are structures for discussion & debate among equal representatives. The objective is to find agreement on a plan or "legislation" outlining actions to enact the plan. This can be an excellent platform for all BRICS+ members' ideas, concerns & priorities to be heard. Will a consensus be required, or will majority vote conclude the choices? We'll see. Once the agreed upon plans are announced, the rest of the world's leaders can choose to agree with them or not. It won't really matter what anyone else likes because the BRICS+ members will have launched their course.

BRICS has been a generator of new ideas. My fear is that BRICS will become similar to European Union. EU seems to choke sovereignty of member countries in order to impose a kind of artificial country. For example, I still don't understand the interests of Portugal (one of the most peaceful european countries) in getting involved in the war on the other side of Europe. BRICS need to address multiple global challenges the most evident are geopilitics, trade, financial and currencies systems. But need to develop countless other matters like security, health, education, agriculture, environment, trade routes, air transportations, water, infrasructure, telecom, data networks and so on and so forth. A brand new parliament could be a way to go in a very fast way.

Creating a new institution such as a BRICs parliament before even asking ourselves : "what for ?" sounds unreasonable. The objective is much more important that the tools. The objectives shall serve the member states and their people. It shall NOT serve the bureaucrats that are always too many, all over the world. I'm a supporter of BRICs and SCO as counterweights to the West but making it as "fat" an organisation as the european union would be a big mistake. Let's remember that BRICs just doubled the number of member countries and it is even not yet clear how they will organize the decision making process... Let's have a look at the EU history: It was quite effective till 2004 when it was mostly a tool for the economy of it's member states and when it was without "parasites" states such as Poland and Baltic states. Recently EU became a political institution that people in Europe do not respect at all. Why? Because they produce laws and norms that spoil their lives and existence. Plus the EU parliament (approx. 800 seats) is costing more than half a Billion USD per year. Why paying so many lazy parasites? Let's analyse the (many) mistakes of the EU before BRICs becoming a too "fat'" and unrespected organization. So far it's rather light and popular. Let's keep it that way!

Fully support the initiative. It needs to be a parliamentary body that augments the UN and not one acting in contradiction to it. The UN, whilst espousing many humanitarian ideals, has little, if any, enforcement mandate or capacity. The BRICS, among its independent parliamentary members, can enforce jointly agreed mandate within their own respective countries.
A surprisingly large number of countries are eager to join the organization now! This is an important moment for the development of a multi-polar world order. BRICS should not miss this opportunity to become a genuinely weighty international organization of the South. To be so it would do well to successfully and quickly accommodate these countries. The idea of a ''BRICS Parliament'' (possibly, with each member state with one vote and decisions by majority votes) could well provide an appropriate institution for the functioning of a greatly expanded BRICS (++).

Well so far so good. They are moving along a normal path that was built by advisors. The original group of countries is easy to manage but as soon as you add 32 more you need a parliament. The interest being shown to join this trading block has been tremendous. The opportunities for new markets and better business environment outside of the madness of the western dystopia and Imperialism, and so much lies and propaganda feeding their economies, who wouldn't want to join the sanity of normal trade? These are new markets. Do they want French champagne? Of course they do. France can see the potential. The political rhetoric that floods the media does not help trade at all. The national crisis paradigm and the use of rodeo clowns like Biden and Trump all that does is open the doors to shady business practice and the use of military intimidation. The Silk route for business opportunities and they try to turn it into WW III. Who would not want to distance themselves from that madness?

Personally I am open to persuasion on the matter of a parliament of the BRICS. Parliament suggests crating rule makers. Where there are rules there are rule breakers and where rules are broken then there is need for penalties to correct behaviours. If I can see safeguards proposed that assure me that another system of us and them could not arise and that the loss of a countries freedom that a parliament would inevitably impose is worthwhile because of the greater good a parliament would bring. Then I could be persuaded in favour.
The third and final wave of dedollarization is going to happen very soon since the petro-dollar agreement has been expired between Saudi and US. I hope the BRICS nations create their parliamentary system before that global financial catastrophe takes place as it will help the BRICS nations and other global South countries tremendously to tackle the situation cautiously.
