This is cool man. My wife got lucky a few weeks ago and caught traction with some of her jewelry. I've been a good little husband and packaging and shipping all the things. She's made $3500 in three weeks. I could almost cry. I got laid off in March and started my own small business doing cnc work. My wife bottled lightning first so I'm trying to see how I can incorporate my tools and skill into her work. It's actually kind of scary to suddenly have this traction. We got our shot and now its up to us and only us to pull it off. This is what I've been dreaming of.
Wooden jewelry boxes would be a good way to incorporate both of your skills. You could make the boxes, she makes the jewelry to go in them. I do not mean just typical jewelry boxes either - I mean doing some cool ones too to test yourself. Ones that are like puzzles or have designs on top. They also do wooden jewelry so you could make the wood part and she could make it into jewelry.
Congrats on the big sales..I have a CNCand will be retiring from truck driving in a few months and will be doing the CNC full time and hope my channel can grow since I will have more time to contribute...I will be buying your plans to make my own...thanks for all you do for the CNC community
Dude I’m so happy for you I started my own wood crafting page and my wife and I are looking for a CNC machine as I’m watching you’re video and to see the joy In you’re face of accomplishment brings me to tears because I know we are that much closer to to updating are page and increasing sales. Im so happy for you and and you’re family hope we can get the right machine and start making some money for the family and be a better provider. God bless and you have me as a follower 🙂
You're videos make fill me with Joy! Being a proud dad on camera, getting stuff done, being positive in a crazy world, you rock! I can't wait to see what comes next!
This is awesome!! I understand the feeling, My wife runs and Etsy store and I lost my job last year due to covid and a few other local makers helped sell out her store to support us. I still get misty eyed thinking about it!
Congrats on your success! Toying with the idea of starting my own shop. Gotta focus on finding a building for my wife's business first. I really appreciate you not cutting out the kids invading your shop/video. It's all about family and my wife and I love those moments! Keep plugging along! We hope to be joining you soon!
Chris I am so glad you get your children in the video. I had a smile go around my head when I saw them with you. You keep making this real Chris and I know you'll blessed richly by God. Your prioities are top of the line and I admire you so much. Trust me Chris I am 72 years old and I didn't make my family the prioity. The investment you're making will return far beyond your imagination! See Chris its already happening with all the orders!! Can't wait to see more! Peace!
Omg I love that you let your kids come around in the vudeo😍 it's perfect part of life as a parent. So adorable! First time watching your work. I'm amazed. You're great! ♥️
I got my order and love the product you developed. Very high quality and easy to assemble. I glued the mounts up yesterday as part of my new work shop. Way to go! Very happy for your success - keep the creative development going.
This is fantastic for you and your family. Let you also know your magnetic tool holder and bit holder got a lot of talk on a Facebook group small woodworking shop. A guy put a post up and said got the idea from your video. Everybody was asking and I linked the video to it. Might be your next launch. Who knows. Praying for continued success for your family
Excited for you! When you pulled that waste off, all i could see is the dozens of knobs you could cut out of that football shape between the parts... not sure if it's even worth looking into, but you'd be surprised how much added use you can get out of the waste if you are planning ahead! Keep up the great work on the channel!
When you get done with all this - a spindle sander or a belt sander combo would do you tons of service. We bought a skill, the lower end cost spectrum definitely, but our plan stand business it is our most used tool. We sand almost everything with it. Love the videos!
I have a spindle Sander. And yes I’ve considered using it however at this point I’m looking for something really efficient and I know a sander upside down it’s kind of green acres. But it seems to work OK for now. Thanks for the tips as any way to be a little more efficient is fantastic. Also my price point is a bit lower so the customer can do most of the final sanding and shaping if they want to put chamfers or round overs
PRICELESS, brother! Just plain PRICELESS! Keep this video for 20 years or go, then come back and watch it with your young'uns. How extremely cool to show that you're a real man's man!! UPWARD!
Failling down the RU-vid rabbit hole can sometimes be rewarding. Here I am reviewing your video. What I got out of it is, some inspiration to become more organized with my efforts, and wood working projects. It can be extremely frustrating at times. I'm a single 46 year old, with no family to back me, and recovering from a 15 years long battle with drug addiction. If not for my children and wood working, I'm afraid to think of where I might be if I continued down my dark path. So, thank you, thank you very much for sharing your accomplishments. It is truly inspiring to say the least!!!
Eric Thanks for sharing this thank you for letting me know brother. I wish you well and I am so happy that you have your kids as well as kids are amazing. Thanks again brother
Very much so. My wife is over the moon. It really does bring a ray of sunshine into her life right now. It tickles me pink because it makes her smile which is always a good thing
@@acloserglimpse9895 I can't agree more, it's alway's great to see the one we love smiling. Hope this is the start of thing's turning around for the two of you!!!
I find myself smiling while watching your videos, and I can't think of another channel I do that consistently on. Congratulations on the product launch! 👏
Congratulations Brother! I'm a single father and I run a fab shop from home also. My 4 year old son gives me the blue's sometimes, but it's worth it. Keep on pushing my man, you got this.
sir i don't know you or anything about cnc, the algorithm gave me your video, but can i just say, bless you and your kids! Hope your business gets all the success, best of luck!
Kudos to you bro. Out of work right now do to a medical issue. Until it gets resolved, I won't be allowed back to work. I'm a truck driver. It's what I do. Years ago I managed a wood shop in NYC. I ran a huge CNC machine, 12'x5' Selexx Pal. It was lots of fun and took a load off my shoulders. Maybe, just maybe I can do my own thing. Be Blessed.
Dude!!!! I first saw you on live edge and been following ever sine. Congratulations!!! You inspire me to keep plugging away at having my own business. So happy for you man!!
Congratulations Chris, I'm Very Pleased Your Project Has Taken Off For You & Allowing Your Amazing Followers To Also Be Your Customers Too. We All Love what You Make & Envy Your Workmanship. Well Done Buddy.
Love to see a human and selfemployer so ful of emotions...i quess it would be awsome to work with u. U know it seems the pieces what comes from your shop...have some kind of spirits in it! Dont know why but this video made me happy and faith in humanity. Hope u doing better day by day. Greets from Estonia!
Man, I really enjoy your videos… especially how you include your family in them at times. I’ve got a super small RU-vid channel on my woodworking account… would be nice to be at your level, but that’s not happening anytime soon with 49 subscribers - LOL. Either way, keep up the great work! The rest of us “little guys” wish you all the best! And congratulations on your latest success! That’s awesome news!!!
I bought one too! It is cool and def functional, but the reason I bought it was the first vid grabbed me. Dads with kids relate to dads with kids. Congratulations on you success!
That is awesome!!!! 👍👍👍 I know you're wanting to make this in your own shop but, in case you don't know, if you get an even larger waiting list and need some help April Wilkerson now takes CNC production orders. Keep up the great work 👍👍
Suggestion…..try a sanding mop in your drill press to clean up the fuzzies. Get a 240 grit mop, play with the drill press speed. Works great cleaning up edges.
It would complicate holding the parts in, though (you would need two screws in each part to keep them from moving). Now the scrap works as a frame of sorts, holding the parts until the very last cut, after which they are not touched by the router again.
Awesome. That an impressive backlog. Now i know how to convince my wife to let me buy a cnc 🤣 on another note, once you removed the cut parts from the plywood sheet, i thought that sheet could make an interesting wall art.
Congratulations. Looking forward to getting mine. One thing that jumped out at me in this video - with the kids running around the shop, you should strap the plywood to your cart. Avoid any accidents if one of the kids runs it to the cart
OUTSTANDING!!! I wish I did not live so far away, would give you a hand in sanding and packaging.....Continued success, can't wait to see what is up your sleeve next!!
28th! Before you posted the video saying you were offering them I was set on making something, not as nice but similar. After the video posted I thought. You know what... I'll get myself a few nice ones and have one less project on my plate! Works out for both of us! PS. You're awesome don't forget it!
*_So, while I was watching a podcast, I had this video on aswell; on mute. I did not get what it was you made, but I am happy you are happy._* *_Soo, I watched the video again, this time with sound...and still no clue what you made; but you are happy and positive and that's all that matters._* Edit for spelling.
It is truly amazing the turn out of something quite simple. It gives me faith in my endeavors, I to am very nervous on how it might turn out. But the success your having is so deserved. Your an amazing person. Thank you for bringing us along for your ride.
I just subscribed to your channel, you’re an inspiration and just wanna say I sorta have the same situation as you in terms of kids with both of mine being on the spectrum. I have to catch up with all your content but I have to commend you on your success so far and you truly deserve all the blessings this community and the world has coming to you. Keep doing what you do, I’m certainly enjoying your journey!
Found your video when I was looking for paper trimmer reviews! Lol Great video, love the kids coming in, all part of daily life, I too smiled throughout the video😊 I've shared your video with my husband and friends. Lots of luck to you, though I don't think you'll need it! God bless.
Hey man. This is an amazing work. I love how you show the struggles you have to finish your product. It shows the real deal. Thanks for that. Also, i love your shop. This is coming from a ocd person.
I feel like the CNC helped you fulfill the orders. You generated the orders 100% from your past efforts building a following and with your design. But that's semantics. Congrats on your success.
Very cool! I’m sooo glad this is working well for you! Also kudos for letting your awesome kiddos stay in your video! Nice to see in this day and age of craziness !
Thank you for the video, I like that look at the insides of how you put things together, I like to see a little more on that phone holder, the biggest thing that I worry about in my shop.
Absolutely awesome to see an everyday guy like you doing good. Glad sales are starting off with a bang. I'd order some myself, but money is tight right now. Looks like a great product though. Absolutely should keep the kids in the video. They are cute as hell!
Thank you so much brother actually just commenting on his videos is super helpful. You’re doing more than you know with that I promise. Yeah they’re cute but I am partial. Thanks again man
A inexpensive wood planer would streamline your assembly on sanding just run a piece through and your done cutting sanding time by 90% hope this helps my cnc coming in 12 weeks cause I can't keep up with demand feels good when your business takes off it only gets better from here especially when you start customizing and using different exotic woods etc
Awesome video, greetings from India! That negative grid looks amazing (in fact, it looks better than certain very expensive 'designer' diffuser panels I've installed over the years, hint, hint 😂) Layer of 1"-2" fiberglass or rockwool, covered in black cloth, and that black negative grid on top, looks good hanging from any wall. Probably looks good hanging from the ceiling too! And judging by the smooth cuts, repeating patterns & void-free plywood layers, they work pretty darn good for dispersing/absorbing some mid-high frequency sound as well. Heck I'd buy one (ok, not just one, maybe a few 😂)
Well done with the design and manufacturing. Also.... I appreciate the help getting the files downloaded. Like I said in the messages....you're going to be have a April Wilkinson size channel in no time. You are already building a fan base of dedicated viewers and your steadily growing.
@@acloserglimpse9895 I think you should do something with it. Not as a cool art piece necessarily, but as a memento of this moment of your life. Glad you're doing well man! I'll make sure to pick some up once I'm getting my shop in place.
Congratulations Brother!! I am very happy for you. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving family man. I wish for many more orders for you. I would order some for myself if I was able. Once I have a steady income, I will.
@@acloserglimpse9895 Anytime, you deserve all the support possible. Wish I could do more at the moment, but I will be back to normal soon. I have recovered enough from my hip replacement that I started searching for a job again. Just got a call this morning from the hiring manager for a company I interviewed with 3 times. He wants me to come in to tour the facility. Seems like a good sign that they will make me an offer, fingers crossed. It has been a rough summer with only my Air Force retirement and VA disability as an income.
SOMEONE ELSE WHO GOT THE 150/5! Everyone trying to say 150/3 only way to go because 150/5 is too rough. Sorry…not polishing glass! Lol. Cool vid, nice efficient setup!
Absolutely shane it sure is. I hope you’re doing well man long time no talk to. I think I still Owe you cross cut sled don’t I LOL. I’m so sorry about that
Cool video man, I respect your hustle. Appreciate you showing behind the scenes and I like your workshop set up and the way you improvise and adapt to your particular task. Inspirational and motivating for me to see your passion as well as your exuberance about your success. Congrats man, you and your family deserve it. Best of luck to you and thank you for sharing!
