@@youngaj8754 it was the FO saying that, like wtf are you doing captain, your flipping the fucking plane over. Meanwhile the captains saying fuck, do what you have to do fly the plane. Then proceeds to fuck it all up.
I'm russian and I saw another vid about this crash with all voice records in russian. That was much worse than translation here, you can 200% hear how drunk the captain was and 2nd pilot didn't know what to do at all
It's always upsetting to see an image of a plane inverted, imagining the absolute terror that the passengers and crew must feel when their whole world turns upside down... literally.
I recall the plane with locked elevator flap, and to test if they can descend the bolts came out fully and lost flap control, turned inverted and parished..Think was Air Alaska flight.. Need better method of air travel where if something fails everyone does not die. The powerless feeling of somebody failing while you count on them.. Flight MH370 IS REASON WHY I drive or sail. RIP trusting innocent numbers of souls who became just a number literally.
@@aldenunion yes I believe it was Air Alaska you're thinking of. Flight 261 maybe? The jack screw failed I think. I agree with everything you said except in addition to having seen 20 seasons of Mayday: Air Disaster, I also binge watch Disasters at Sea too. So I'm not a big fan of sailing either lol
Those who accusing the pilot was the main reason for crash, U all can fkk off, the left engine caught on fire, theres ground witnesses... Its also because of lack of training, and lack thorough maintainance
@@makaupurple8242 You serious? Did you listen to the same CVR as we all did? Im all for professional pilots feeling relaxed in the cockpit but the Captain wasnt relaxed, FOR FUCKS SAKE, HE WAS SHITFACED. An engine fire on a boeing 737 only miles away from the runway is 100 percent survivable. Neither pilot mentioned having any problems at all. Good day, troll.
Luckily, most times they get caught in the terminal. Considering the past ten years, I think pilots have become WAY less trusted by airport staff/coworkers.
Drinking and driving = start button - shift to drive - press gas Drinking and flying a 737 = plane walk around - APU start - check lists.........contact ATC - get clearance to taxi - check lists..........contact ATC - get clearance to take off - check lists...........take off - change freq - check lists........
I actually have been on many flights and love flying with my family as im only 12 so my parents ensure the pilots are the best of the best unlike these stupid drunk goners
Russian aircrashes from before the 2000s are such a wild thing. Planes crashing because pilots thought kids in the cockpit was a good idea, planes crashing because of drunk pilots, planes crashing because ATC decided to sleep, I mean what the hell? Human error is one thing, complete negligence is another.
the break up of the Soviet Union and the complete chaos that followed in the 90ies can be attributed to all this. People just stopped caring, they lost all hope and more importantly there wasn't many places that could hold people accountable for their mistakes that cost people theirs lives. The Chechen wars are a perfect example of this. So many young soldiers and Chechen civilians died and suffered while a couple of corrupt shithead politicians got rich off the conflict. These accidents were bound to happen. Just remember the Russian president at the time was Boris Yeltsin, a drunkard that most people didn't respect and who just gave away parts government owned businesses to corrupt devils who just exploited everything and everyone to the maximum and used all that money to buy houses in the carribean and elsewhere while people in Russia were left to rot, pensioners that built up the country and worked so hard in their lives and were guaranteed a pension suddenly lost that pension which ended up being pocketed by corrupt officials that are still in office to this day. The worst part of it all is that nothing has changed between the United States and Russia. They still have a bunch of sanctions and still see Russia as an enemy almost even moreso that they did with the Soviet Union. We're living in pretty terrible times but people are just too distracted with media and technology to even notice or think for themselves any more.
let's not forget about the 2010 crash that led to the death of Polish president while on going visit to memorials of the massacre of Polish people in Russia
@Concerned Citizen this is a video on a plane crash in Russia. Stop attributing literally everything to American politics, nobody cares here! We are here to watch and learn what happened on this flight, not to hear you complain about what crazy things are happening in American government.
Approach greeted them with, "Good morning". The pilot started drinking the day before and that turned into night and then his flight. Probably was his routine.
"Hey look... a spider" will broke the stereo cockpit violation rules That because the sentence is not equivalent to flight and it is at a crucial stage of the flight(At that time of the incident was a landing)
I agree. Watch the video flight channel did about Aeroperu 603. I think that's it. I think it's titled, "crashing upside down in the ocean at night." It gives me chills just to think about dying that way. Terrifying.
The title has been exaggerated in an unnecessary click bait manner. Very clearly states at the end there was a presence of ethanol alcohol in his system - not that he was drunk or had a substantial amount of alcohol when he was operating the plane. It was pilot error but to say ‘drunk pilot crashed the plane’ is grossly misleading
@@pneulancer becoming a pilot is a choice you make. Of course you cant be drinking and taking drugs to "take the edge off". If you want to do that go work at a job that wont risk lives, like McDonalds.
My abiding memory of this is a passenger who texted her friend in London that she thought the captain was drunk based on the cabin announcements. She told her friend that she was scared. I often sit in my chair and wonder what this whole ordeal must've been like for her. I hope her spirit is smiling wherever it is.
Yes, she should have walked off the plane and protested loudly so all the other passengers were made aware of the drunk captain, no way that plane should have left the ground with a drunk at the wheel. Edit; I just realised (after reading Bradley Nelson's comment) she was going by his slurred cabin announcements mid flight, not on the ground.
@@kenoneill8783, she only realized it while they were in the air , hearing the pilot over the intercom. Unfortunately too late once they were in the air. I assume the co-pilot never would have allowed the pilot to fly if he'd been drunk at take off. That leaves me to believe he drank and did PCP after takeoff.
@@kenoneill8783 An hour and a half flight is enough time to become inebriated. My guess is, they were reasonably sober when they made that good take-off.
@baltes yeah but thats not right. The captain and fo are equal when it comes to experience as a pilot. They are both qualified to fly the airplane alone
360 degrees....can you imagine how terrified it must be to flip completely upside down and looking out the window as the ground comes closer and closer? Rest in peace to the beautiful people whom we will never forget.
I read an article about this plane crash that said the Russian authorities found out that the captain was high on PCP and also had 5 shots of vodka while he was flying the airplane on that horrible tragic day where innocent women and children lost their lives all because of a irresponsible captain failed his job may those passengers souls rest in peace and to that Captain rest and piss..✈️
If you re wise, you will at least understand that you can neither trust the plane, neither the pilot, neither the company! Don t take plane any more what could be the price!
@@nobody-rr5ln actually, you’re nearly twenty times more to die in a car. Planes are much safer, and there will always be accidents. If you’re wise, Do NOT DRIVE
I saw a documentary of a factory in Russia where they built cars back in the soviet era. The production line was slow in the morning and sped up as the hangovers of the workers wore off.
POS pilot was drunk off his arse and probably died a quick peaceful death, unaware of what was going on. Everyone else must have had intense dread and panic before their death. Both the pilot and co-pilot are to blame for this accident, absolutely sickening.
This guy gives such a real picture of the events. The way he narrates the story with those texts, does a better job then most of those RU-vidrs who add their expert opinions with vocals.

I knew someone on this flight. It was his first trip home in many years. The mood in the office the day we found out was so somber. He was a great person and is missed!
@@NoBadEnegry it was. His birthday was 2 days after this crash, and his wife and son were not on the flight at the time it happened (they were to join him a couple days later). Their loss was just awful...I can’t even imagine.
So tragic. Such an insane way to go, and for the stupidest reason. I'm sorry for your completely unfair loss, and I hope someone gets the lawsuit victory that puts airo-flop out of business. This was inexcusable.
I was flying home from Hawaii, heading to LAX. The pilot was walking down the isles, greeting everyone. He was hammered. Just absolutely plastered. Red faced and sweating. We made it to LAX but I should have refused to fly and reported him.
Definitely. He might end up crashing another plane!!! It's not too late to report him!! You might just save other people lives in the future!!! Imagine how you will feel if you don't report him and something happens in a future flight. 🤔😒😭
Thank God the passengers in a Citilink flight directly took notice of their pilot's drunkness and incapability to pilot his aircraft in such conditions.
Beyond sad. It's devastating that this had to happen to those poor passengers. The CVR will always make me sick to y stomach. Hearing the pilots behave so belligerently and in such an underqualified-for-the-737 manner scares me. The worst part? They faked their 737 qualification documentation. Disgusting and gutting.
RIP the passengers the first officer and the crew they had no reason to die they will be remembered forever they are legends may their souls rest in peace pilots should be checked before entering the plane 🙏🙏😭😭
I was on a flight last night where the flight was delayed because we were waiting on the pilots. When the captain made his announcement he apologized and said they had been delayed because they had just flown a very difficult flight from Cleveland..and he sounded absolutely exhausted...and this was a 9pm...it made me nervous to be honest
That poor ATC, he knew he was talking to a drunk pilot and was trying his best to keep him from doing something stupid. Does make you wonder how common this is that ATC stepped in like that, very rare for ATC to issue commands to pilots like that, never seen that before in these accidents (even in ones where they should've).
The controller was very impressive, I agree. It seems like in a lot of these incidents, ATC is hesitant to override a pilot's demands, but the guy in this case was firm and professional.
@ D.K. The ATC guy knew, or else he would not have explicitly asked the pilots to follow his instructions strictly. He was trying to babysit them through the landing, by asking them to calculate vectors to the final approach... this is something ATCs normally don't do. Asking the crew if they were okay is also another giveaway. Approach ATCs normally keep the radio communications short and only use only standard phraseologies, because they are managing so many incoming and outgoing traffic, there is no time to have conversations that are not direct approach instructions. I wonder if the poor guy actually saw the plane crashed into front of his eyes...
The sudden change with the captain's attitude while talking to first officer and ATC is just surprising..This guy has an Alter ego, causing so many lives. This is a lesson to those people who think highly of themselves thinking that they wouldn't make a slight mistake since they have experience and rank. Poor passengers and crews and a BIG F.U. to you captain.🖕
No kidding. The planes pretty much fly themselves. And are very safe. The problem is mistakes by pilots, landing or taking off. Or mistakes by mechanics.
Guys, there are 70,000,000 flights worldwide per year. 70 million! There have been very, very few accidents relatively speaking. Even less due to pilot error. By binge watching these videos, you're literally brainwashing yourselves to believe that a large number of real pilots are similar to the ones you see in these videos. Go and binge watch videos about 5G causing coronavirus, and you'll start to believe what you're hearing.

"Western attitude indicators", "having to operate throttles independently", "spacial disorientation", and one tiny little detail....the captain was slobbering drunk.
@NSDAP Enthusiast 88 The NTSB was pretty harsh in their assessment of the pilots of Pinnacle Airlines Flight 3701 and the Learjet 35 that crashed on approach to Teterboro in 2017. I think they do a good job in acknowledging that the flight crew have the final say as to how the airplane is going to perform.
I've seen this on Air Crash Investigations, but hearing the actual cockpit voice recording is absolutely stunning, in any sense of the word. Many thanks for providing that. I don't understand any Russian but that was one drunk-sounding captain! Slurring his words, not listening to or not understanding the ATC directions. And a first officer who didn't really know what he was doing. I used to work as a travel agent during the Soviet era. Aeroflot were nicknamed Aerogrot. Bad pilots, bad inflight service, and badly maintained aircraft. They have improved but...... this one is like a throw-back!
Also if you can hearing the captain voice make announcement at beginning of the flight(From Mayday Air crash Investigation), you can hear he is drunk by annouced: “good evening… good morning”
@@Derry_Aire Yep and President Putin (well at that time Prime Minster Putin) Either way he is 1 hell of a force to be reckoned withwould have certainly understood the situation, Had either the Capt and or f/o would have survived you can bet they would have been called right into Putin's office, him demanding answers. There should be a shut-off switch where the co-pilot can render the captain’s controls ineffective and the seat belt tightens so as to prevent the captain from escaping the seat!
I remember this accident from Mayday episode. A passenger identified and informed her friend that captain seem to be drunk during in-flight announcements.

the fatigue issue is serious across the world. too few pilots.. too much demand and little pay anymore... it is like Truck drivers being pushed to drive long hours without breaks because of $$$$$$$$$$...
I feel for the passengers and cabin crew because they were so low to the ground and ready for landing then to have this unexpectedly occur...such a horrible shame.
Wow, even in Russian we can hear the captain is smashed! What I don't understand is, why the co-pilot didn't use an excuse early on when he sensed trouble, to go find someone to help him remove the captain, and then fly the plane himself.
You need two pilots to take off or land so the FO would have needed the captain, what he should have done though was take over control but then he would be at the mercy of the captain's drunken calculations and he'd have to assume the captain would make the correct landing adjustments while the FO was flying.

And again where does this mention they determine he was even legally drunk? NO BAC- And they were also disoriented and with her accent how could you make that determination just by listening you can’t
According to the information in media, the captain was drunk because he marked his childbirth, most likely drunk piloting on his behalf didn’t occur systematically.
@@mynamemyname7990 what Rock the World said is this: the captain had been drinking to celebrate the birth of a child. It is possible this is the only time he flew the aircraft drunk (not habitually).
I hate flying. I know that I'm so much more likely to crash on the ground, but at least if I crash on the ground I don't fall thousands and thousands of feet at hundreds of miles per hour. Like you are putting so much trust in the equipment and the people and history has shown so much carelessness. So many situations that could have been avoided. So many people having to die to make a change. I despise flying
🙄This Captain is right up there with the Russian Pilot that let his own kid in the cockpit and crashed HIS plane too! HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?!?!😢 🙏✈️R.I.P~~PASSENGERS, CREW AND F/O...✈️🙏
The moment he said WHOA.... That was enough for me. I was LITERALLY watching this like😮😮😮😮That first climb then turn made me sick just watching it😲😲😲😲I couldn't even begin to know what was going through the passagners mind as they were being tossed around before crashing!! This was horrific😞😞😞😞
It was the F/O who practically crashed the plane since neither pilot was capable. This plane has a engine thrust imbalance problem and the F/O and his previous training tests showed he was really bad at flying with thrust imbalance, which is why he gave the controls to the drunk captain because he couldn't control the plane which is why they were so wildly off course to begin with.
Exactly that’s just it they never say what a blood alcohol content is forever was it determined if he was legally drunk who cannot tell from their accent was they were disoriented they talk about that and confused it showed there was an issue with a thrust or something like that.... But everybody that’s watching and commenting on here it’s like they’re watching and listening to something completely different it never said that he was drunk or had a test showing that he was drunk. Because of an equipment malfunction that is mentioned towards the middle they were confused and there was also disorientation not do from drinking so how is everybody coming to a conclusion that he was drunk
I'd say him talking, sounding clearly drunk off his arse is proof enough. One passenger also sent a text to a friend saying she was scared because the pilot sounded drunk on the intercom. Pilot was drunk because he was celebrating the birth of a child. It was confirmed. The plane was not at fault here.
I'm from the old USSR and I can verify that Vodka killed a lot of people, including this year, my father. Vodka is not fun, Vodka is a desease of a Country. Rest in peace. Царство небесное.
I'm sure if I spoke Russian, and could recognize distinct Russian accents, I'd feel differently, but I swear the captain sounds like he could easily be a homeless guy fighting with another homeless guy, like I've seen in some RU-vid videos.
There are no accents in Russian, it's almost the same everywhere. But you are absolutely right, this guy sounds slightly drunk for native speakers too.
How a stupid RU-vid channel fooled their subscribers into the believe that both pilots were to drunk to fly. When it instead was the impact of many factors.
I am proud that in my country pilots put their children at the helm and get drunk before flying. RIP to passengers, you can't just fucking put people who bought exams and abuse vodka at the steering wheel of the plane, omg
