Kitboga and Tim Browning have been busting guys like these for years. Problem is India's Unemployment. These are "educated" people. They should have better job opportunities, rather than doing this for just 25K.
Yeah all those working hard to develops skills and gaining employment got it as a gift. This can't be blamed on employment opportunities. Instead of taking a sincere path twisted people try to take easy route thinking they will get away with it.
@@karsan6018 I did put the word educated in quotes in my original comment to highlight the skill issue, but you are right. I should have phrased it in a way to put more emphasis on the fact that it's both an education and an employment issue. You have already highlighted the skill point, so we both agree on that. But these people do have at least basic English skills and basic computer skills to be able to run this scam. That they were not able to find a legitimate job that pays the same with those skills, but they were able to find these scam jobs is what I mean when I bring up unemployment.
@@sameerchicku Yes, 25K is good enough for the vast majority of Indians, but in the grand scheme of things, it's a small amount. I apologise if I'm generalizing a bit, but I do think that depending on what opportunities she was able to find, I'm sure your wife could have found a higher paying job with the same set of skills. It's just a matter of being at the right place at the right time.
She narrated it well. But yup, having been a victim myself and even my father once to not exactly the same but of cyber crime. It is disappointing to see the lavishly grow in India. This crime may seem trivial and momentarily damaging but there have been cases where the victims have gone the stretch to end their lives and of the ones they love in despair and having economically broken down. This should be taken up with more stern and serious intentions. Instead a RU-vidr has taken things in own hand to expose many if not 100s scammers based out of India. If I were in charge I’d seek his help as a valued Asset!

I mean no disrespect but even my seniors at iit aren't getting placed so I doubt they had much choice but to do what they did. Very less jobs and huge number of qualified people.
Cognizant an mnc is paying 2.5lpa to freshers. That's roughly 20k in indian rupees. Rent here is approx 10k on avg and with other necessary expenses added up it goes upto around 30k. This is the state companies want cheap labour and hardly pay anything for the same work people would do outside India. Then for these people scamming seems a better option than working for these garbage companies.
Title mentions Punjab, but the police official said this operation is in Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Bihar. What a surprise 🤔. Hindian media doing what it does best.
Please watch the video again. The individuals involved, came from all parts of India, but the entire operation was taking place in Punjab. Moreover they were arrested by the Punjab police. While it is not to deny that fraudsters are committing such acts from all parts of India (especially WB, Jharkhand and NCR), this video is only concerned with the operation carried out by the Punjab police. It has no intention to malign any particular state specifically.
In watching the scambaiter videos - most of the Scams seem to be happening in the northern part of the country. However, in saying 'northern' - the vast majority here are actually occurring in West Bengal state. At least Punjab police is tackling this issue seriously, which is why this is being reported. I have a doubt West Bengal police are as competent. If West Bengal police took this seriously then most reporting would be happening out of West Bengal.

I'm Nepali in the US, I get multiple scam calls everyday :( and they tried to even tried to scam and threaten me by being a fake US government agent, job recruiter etc etc
As an Indian who lives in America , I suffer a lot to be seen as a honest person due to the reputation these scammers have given India 😢 I hope govt cracks down on scammers
Even I got the calls. From a reputed courier company, that my parcel is from Mumbai to Taiwan and they found some unwanted substance. But before their second move. I told them that I make them update on how my local police station reacts. That person is speechless and I cut the phone
People who support this saying it's good for the economy have absolutely no idea how this is damaging the Indian economy. Genuine small scale businesses that work with international clients are finding it more and more difficult to work because of scammers who have demolished any sort of good name that has been painstakingly built over the years.
Along with Punjab lets also mention they are hindus from different states who are not just ruining demographics of Punjab but also bringing bad name to it

Well, prior to 1947 East Punjab, including the current boundaries, were majority Hindu. It is interesting that you are talking about 'demographics' here.
Glad to see scammers being exposed and arrested. I noticed only one name being highlighted in the entire report, when there was a team of 21 people arrested. Its becoming a trend in Indian media to highlight the crimes of certain sections of society and subtly cover the connection to other sections. Disgraceful
Why mention only Punjab, Bihar, Bengal, Rajasthan and then at the end mention the name of only one (muslim) perpetrator? This is a pan-India phenomenon with people from various backgrounds involved in it. The main centres are Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Noida, Gurgaon, where much of the IT infrastructure exists and happening with the blessings from the very top. Looks like this is conveniently left out in every news report.

This is not something new, its an age old scam. Many foreign channels are doing videos for catching these scamsters, but i feel no major action were never taken, obviously they must be having support from local officials. India's image is degraded drastically because of these scamsters. Cant blame the employees as well, they dont have jobs and end up doing this. I dont think this will ever stop anytime soon
I also got a call from these scammer tell me that custom officer calling from new Delhi that my parcel got seized in Delhi which was to be send to combodia n containing drugs haha..

Good for the economy? Scammers have successfully created an image of India being hub for scammers. Genuine companies that want to expand their business internationally are findinng it more and more difficult to do so because of the bad name scammers have created. It's literally hindering the growth of good and honest businesses in the country.
the positive view is indian youth have a great knowledge IT the thing is they need more support and better packages by govt and companies that they can make good name of india in whole world
