Great video. As a teen living in NYC in the 90's, I actually grew up a Reggie Miller fan. Such a great time to be an NBA fan and a great city to live in while being a Pacer fan! Folks will forever talk about how great MJ was but in terms of influence, anyone denying that today's game is heavily influenced by Reggie Miller and his style either didnt watch 90's ball or are just hating.

I couldn’t get past “as a teen in the 90s I was a reggie fan” that’s wild crazy.

@@roc2eazy It was, especially growing up in NYC in the 90's. I dont think I came across another Pacers fan while growing up. You had your usual "Bulls fans, Magic fans (Shaq/Penny era), but obviously the majority of folks there were Knick fans. Given the rivalry that developed at that time it was so crazy to be a Pacers fan while living in NYC. A crazy story, in 94 I was in the 8th grade. After Reggie scored 25 points in the 4th quarter while arguing with Spike Lee on the sideline, there was a 3pt shot that he took from crazy deep. We were so shocked at this performance I remember going to school the next day and kids were walking into the school gym and walking to where Reggie took that shot just to actually see how far away it was from the basket. Reggie Miller was f'ing magnificent, especially when it was playoff basketball. I used to always get weird looks when other kids would ask "who's your favorite Bball player?" and I would answer Miller. However, by the end of the 90's heading into the 2000's folks understood. He really wasnt appreciated outside of Indiana, and this is back in the day when you would only see the Pacers play come playoff time as these were nationally televised games. It really wasnt until the latter half of the 90's/2000's where Cable was more of a normalcy in homes and you got NBA on TNT for example. If Reggie played for a team in a bigger market people would better understand the impact he had on the game back then, and more importantly how his playstyle is the blueprint for what we see today.
