JF, I can only imagine how hard it is for you and the Drive team to get these in depth behind scenes interviews with these top car manufactures.... Thank you!
I love how open all of these car makers hat you do these 'behind the scenes' type videos are. Really have great respect for you guys making the vids and of course the companies they are on from these vids. Super cool.
Absolutely agree. Love the way these vids don´t try to get a continuous stream of audio clips but allow an expert to explain him or herself naturally. It´s like having a chat over a pint and letting the conversation flow.
I am glad Driven is doing more of these, as a car person i want to know more about the inside of the company, how that translates to a product, this goes for any car manufacturer, might even influence my car choices in the future!
I felt like I was watching a documentary on Discovery. This is really, really good, maybe the best Drive video yet and that's really saying something. Superb shots, great editing, great story telling. Great job Drive!
Well that was better than I was expecting, my heart sank a little when I saw JF. His in front of camera work has been ropey at best and at times verging on rude! This was good, nice work /drive!
Please continue doing these car manufacturer tours. Car makers would be crazy not to agree teaming up with the /DRIVE network for similar shows. Quality filming and editing. Keep up the good work guys!
The Germans invented it, the Americans made it readily available, but the British perfected the automobile. Morgan, Lotus, Jaguar, Bentley/Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin; it simply doesn't get better than that
thanks drive loving this . i was expecting a formilia morgan styal factory ,and wos blowen away with that .hard to judge the inside from the out side. real nice plant for sure . chers cant wait for more!
oh oh when's the next one??? Love it. Always preferred Aston over Bentley but you can see how the history and the longevity of the company/marque turns people into fans. Good to see you guys getting access to the factory floor - keep it up :-)
wow, haters want to squeeze an hour of documentary into 12 minutes, seriously??? but thanks Drive to doing these docu on historic car companies giving us glimpses on their heritage, culture and their people/artisans. keep it up!
Great start to this series--excellent music and video quality. And, could Richard Charlesworth BE any more British?? While I'm not a Bentley 'fan' per se, I absolutely respect their design, engineering and attention to detail. Eagerly awaiting Pt.II !
I want to see more. Like the tour of MDC, I want to see how the cars are made, talk to the people building the cars...get a sense of the place not just from someone who knows the history and some details...I want to see and hear everything else. Is there a part 2 to this?
Fantastic question. I wouldn't mind them going back to Koenigsegg tbh. Christian's obvious passion for his work is almost addictive, and I find myself watching them regularly just to experience that again.
It's really well thought to have John Hindhaugh narrating the documentary on the british company with his british accent. Well done guys :) Just a little critique: by the end of the episode, Mr Charlesworth was saying that before VW bought Bentley, they were selling between 1000 and 3500 cars a year. Then he talks about the big investments VW did to improve those numbers, and right when I was expecting to be told how many cars they sell now, the episode ends :( Cliffhanger for the next episode?
That's precisely my point, the world has moved on in such a crazy way - thinking about earth in terms of nations is no longer as important as it was 60 years ago. I wouldn't say corporate earth is good for everyone, but it is definitely something interesting to think about.
