The second turbine is not attached directly to the first. Free air turbin. Uses exhaust gassed to spin up the propeller (power section). The pt6 is an outstanding aircraft engine.
Why use a jet engine to turn a prop instead of just using the thrust of the engine to fly?? I’ve been waiting for someone to answer this question for 30 years. I can’t spell google
@@staple_boi turboprop is a jet engine, which shaft is connected with gearbox and propeller. It works similar to piston engines - force from crankshaft is transmitting to propeller.
