From Ghana: Sad indeed but this is what happens when people prefer miracles to faith which brings struggle and practical approach to challenges in life.

I remember this period. It was 1999! I was still young in primary school and People were so hyper in faith. Many believed that the world was going to end then! Many people sold their property and many engaged in prayers. It happened on the 31st December 1999. Many people were burnt alive while praying…..and the following day, the news spread out and also many were surprised that the world had not ended! Many people lost property and their lives. 🙏

Not until I grew older did I realize why he refused. This was an interesting story and first time hearing it. Thank you.

Watching from Guyana, i was fourteen yrs old when the Jim Jones massacre happened....never knew such cult was in the country....it was very scary, that actually took place in the jungle, way out of civilization, that is why the nation of Guyana didn't knew what was going on...maybe the soldiers did, however the narrator of this story got my attention, i had to subscribed👍🏿

This kind of story should be told in this present day because people like this are still much around.

I am from Guyana where the Jones town massacre occurred. I was not born yet but this terrible incident occurred during my mom and grandmother's time. As i grew i came to learn about Jones town. Such a sad and tragic story. I have never heard about the Kanungu massacre before so thanks for sharing it and bringing it to the rest of the world. so sad for the victims may their souls rest in peace.

Thank you Daniel for this. I am a Ugandan and I did not know who this lady was. The story I know is that of Kibwetere because as far as I knew, he was the mastermind of the massacre. As I was watching this, I got so intrigued and went on searching more about her. It is so sad that people desperately search for grace and they get in such a situation. Recently, in September, A man who claimed to be Kibwetere's second son was arrested for attempting to bury a 10-year-old girl alive. The girl was sick and her mother entrusted him with the child because he had promised to heal her (called himself a healer). However, he failed to treat the child so, he dug the grave to bury her. Thankfully, the malnourished girl was rescued.
