This incident happened right in my community where I live and I have known this Alex in question right from time. He is such a humble soul. Everyone was shocked when this incident happened. It’s obvious he was possessed by some demons after destroying the shrine because he started acting wired when he returned. And this incident took place hours after destroying the shrine so it’s obvious he was possessed. The issue is that he shouldn’t have took such actions of destroying that shrine if his faith doesn’t carries it. It was so unfortunate. Even if he had anything to do with the girl he kill just to get rid of her as some of you might think, he wouldn’t have done it in such a way knowing that it won’t go well for him. Examining this whole issue and the kind of person he is, it’s true that he was possessed after destroying that shrine and it’s obvious he wasn’t prepared and didn’t hear from God before embarking on such activities.
They were not demons. They were ancestral spirits that he smited for a foreign god. They showed they are stronger than his foreign god, esp if most of us return back to our spirituality.
He was definitely possessed, a clear case for an eye for an eye by the demons that possessed him...they first made him kill the girl, thereafter destroyed his church, cause he destroyed theirs..

Such a sad situation! He got possessed by the shrine demons because he took the battle physically. If he had only an intent to kill the girl howcome he almost attacked the mother too? I highly think this was not for ritual purposes, he wouldn't have done it so openly like this, it only shows that he had been overtaken by an evil spirit. He was an immature Christian who played a very huge role in destroying his own life. We pray for the family of the dead girl and we pray for the young man too 🙏. One thing I know for sure is ur correct update. I'm an Urhobo from Delta state, Ughelli north LGA. I want people to know that gods from those areas are very powerful and not to be joke with even if the individual is a man of God. You pronounce the Urhobo name very well. The Agbarha idols, Orogun idols, Ekiugbo idols, Ovun idols, Orhoakpor idols in Deltas state are not to be joke with. How wish you can hear what the locals are saying. Similar thing like this have also happened in Orhoakpor Town where the pastor refused to serve the father's deity and the pastor went to pour wrath on the deity and the reverse of the gods was so worse on him. (The pastor's church then was in Agbarho Town Delta state) the church close down since then. If he's truly saved and sanctified by the Holy Ghost, it's impossible for him to be possessed by demons. The spirit may have attacked his mind. That shrine could have been destroy through fasting and serious intercession in the spirit.

Christ disciples could not cast out a demon, after the boy father approach Christ to cast this demon out of the son and later when the disciple ask master why we couldn't cast out that demon he said if not fasting and prayer no man can cast out such demon. As Christians we should know sometimes some demons are more powerful and in dealing with them you need to do your assignment well. An angel was sent to Daniel but a demon called the prince of Persia detained him 15 days till Micheal came to help him so as Christians we need to be wise in our actions.
