@@ChaseBauer65 I agree, but some people are not cut out to be a landlord, they are very emotionally attached to the property. If u find a trashed property on a check, what do u do?
@@handylandlord I definitely think we're not cut out for being landlords - mainly because of the liability factor. If we move it's going to be states away and we'd be needing a management company to handle everything. One one hand we have a crazy good interest rate, so it's a solid investment; but the liability aspect terrifies me lol
Makes me feel better that I'm not the only one who has these problems with my rentals. I don't think those properties were that bad. Def needs bombed a few times. I WISH I had a guy to do my clean-outs. Everyone is just so expensive. Keep doing a great job helping out landlords. Also, I didn't see one Kwikset Smart Lock. Def recommend those.
I’ve seen a lot of roaches in my time but must say the first house is up there on the top 5. Video does not do it justice. The amount of babies was wild. Had to find a cleanout person for a reasonable price. Nasty job most of the time. We use defiant lock sets. Kwickset rekey system seems like a good idea.
He would have to spend double the cost of each property to get into B class neighborhoods. He's got the gumption and the energy and is rewarded with a higher ROI that other sleepy landlords cannot touch.
Haha. Thankfully both are paid jobs. So I do not own the properties. Still feel for the landlord. It’s rough to see your properties in such bad shape. Bugs will cost you min. of 2 to 3 months lost rent. I’m still in the section 8 game. 11 years and running. I have more stories than that mattress in the video. Hahah
Some people think that living with roaches is just how life is because they were raised that way. Wherever they move, they take them in the items they took with them. I pity the next landlord as well as you. The mattresses should be burn in public as to show what not to sleep on or have in your home. Absolutely disgusting people. You would think if the government is paying your bills, you would have to LIVE to a certain standard.
This was a paid job so I do not own the units. Unsure of details how the properties were rented. The roaches in first property were crazy. So many little babies. Don’t worry they grow fast. Haha
I just don't understand how people can just leave so much stuff behind... are these evictions and they just don't have the time to do a full pack and move?
Moving stuff costs money that can go to drugs instead. Uncle Sam will just give them more stuff at their next section 8, and shop lifting is legal in blue cities.
I hope they didn't get their deposit back and it covers the cost to fix it all... :( Where is this at? Also. whats the deal with smoke detectors always needing batteries in houses where disgusting people live...
This is a paid job for me. Not my unit so I’m not sure of all the details. I don’t understand how anyone can live with a smoke detector going off. It blows my mind.
