Kristen Lambert opened her shop, Third Piece, after seeing how knitting improved her mental and physical well-being. And now she's helping others reap the benefits.
Knitting and crochet really do help to relieve stress and anxiety. Whenever I knit/crochet I always end up having a deep and peaceful sleep, even my dreams are positive. The change in my sleep is when I first made the connection between knitting/crocheting and mental health. I knew I enjoyed doing it but the difference in my sleep is what showed me that my mindset had become more positive and relaxed. Its a form of meditation where you focus your attention on each stitch.
