One thing that you didn't mention with Baobhan Sith's design, is that in official character art for her, it's revealed that her first ascension's heels have the footprint of a deer.
@@CrazyYurie If you look closely at the way her heels are shaped in the 1st Ascension, you would find that the outsoles are split to resemble hooves. The PHH legend of her having hooves is also mentioned in her profile (Bond 2) so the split outsole is most likely intentional. As for the green dress, she mentions finding it too fancy for her tastes in the voice line for her upgrade to her 2nd Ascension.
Also, Baoban sith's friendship with Galatea has been hinted by Mash before in the master mission voice lines. They've been friends for a few months before the event. Pretty cute
I find it so incredibly sad that throughout all of Aesc's journey as a hero, Baobhan Sith is the only faery who ever thanked her. I can't imagine how dreadful it must have been for Morgan to see how the one good faery she met was now a rotting corpse of a hostage. That scene was the moment I realized the faeries deserved to die.
The fact that it was the only reason she lost to like Morgan would have won but she froze when she saw what had become of her daughter and couldn’t react in time to survive like genuinely the one time she genuinely tries to be a good mother and love her child it gets her killed
I'm really glad you mentioned the dress colour and why there's precedent for her wearing green, because _she_ mentions it as well during her 1st ascension/ outfit change as the last line of the dialogue: "Ha, green skirts and the like are too fancy for me anyway." And being colourblind myself this felt like I was being gaslit, having seen her wearing what I was fairly sure was red, then reading what seemed to imply her dress was actually green, which was plausible enough that I had just misidentified green as red due to the vampire associations and just expecting red more than green, only to double check and no she really was wearing red. I was very confused at the time, but now that all makes a lot more sense.
Got her and finally grailed her. Aiming to get her skills to all 6, and she's bond 5. I think her third acension isn't her after spamming Fetch, I think it's meant to be what she was like when Morgan found her. Lets lay down the facts. She is significantly nicer to you which is consistent with how she was a kind faerie by nature. Along with this, her wish for the grail is to make her village prosperous so everyone else would like her (this is consistent with her characterisation). Furthermore, her very provocative yet fancy outfit (the bonnet is the very fancy part) may be to assist in her previous profession so she can more easily sleep with and drink blood from people to survive. Finally, her constant lines of her saying she's falling apart is probably because the faeries and humans, who she helped, ripped her limb from limb before Morgan (then Tonelico/Aesc) found her. The strange black ribbons she has everywhere and holds with her mouth might actually be to hold her together, almost like she hastily stiched her own body together. I also noticed something interesting. In her bond 4 dialogue for her 3rd ascension, she is seemingly remembering how the faeries treated her, calling herself "Everyone's smiling plaything". In her 4th ascension, she fully regains her memories of exactly what the faeries did to her and she is pretty much boiling with rage at them. Then, in her bond 5 dialogue, she is seemingly smashing the faeries to bits out of vengeance, which may imply that she's in the simulator considering the only faeries who are still alive are Barghest, who Morgan would likely not let her attack, and Morgan herself, who Baobhan Sith is definitely not attacking. My headcanon is that Ritsuka probably had a bunch of faeries and human enemies generated in the simulator so that Baobhan Sith could feel better after getting all her anger out, which is very much what I (and seemingly most of the Fate fandom) would do. So technically we did help her, kind of.
To those who want to know why she's wearing red, there were Legends in real life where fairies would wear colors to show what they believed for humans and fairies as well as social class. Red is the show I hateful side to social interactions as well as to others around them while is to be more open, sith most likely wore green and her first iteration when she wasn't an abused vampire who what's taking advantage of by the other fairies. It's only when Morgan took her in is when she became more evil, so by this logic will make more sense for her to wear red

It still makes me so happy after the events of Lb6 she gets to enjoy herself in chaldea. being scottish myself i really enjoyed how they played Sith for the LB, helps that the Fae Knights became some of my favorite characters/servants in the verse. plus her character speaks to me on a personal level, as does Morgan; the whole "Doing the best you can for the worst people only to be cast down each and every time". love this video series, keep it up!
One thing I remember reading awhile ago was how Failnaught was originally a magical trap and I always thought Sith's NP was somewhat a call back to that? Cause it always kind of looked like a trap going off after she hits them with the stake
Another interesting thing about FGO Baobhan is not only does she look like Liz Bathory, her story also ends up reflecting Liz's lore. At least until Spriggan intervened, Bao's fate was to be a life sentence of house arrest, abandoned by friends and family, and falling apart physically and mentally while the guards outside her room contemplated bricking it off. Also, historical Bathory's husband was said to also have a sadistic streak that is believed likely enabled hers; while it seems Bao already had a nasty reputation, her relationship with Beryl really kicked her murderous tendencies into overdrive.
There was also DA noel in tsukihime remake where her design is also reminiscent of Liz bathory as well and has a similar backstory although she's alot more irredeemable than the other 2
I've often heard the idea that Baoban is the reborn human that once came with Cernunos, and that's why she needed both sustanance of blood and was the one to awaken him

As a casual NA Fgo player, I've probably played more of the events than the actual plot (I'm currently at the beginning of Babylon), I somehow got Tam Lin Tristan as my first ever gold Archer (a class that's not my fav) and just decided to level her up just to have a good acher and didn't really care till her 3rd ascension since her design change then (I thought her 2nd Ascension was fan service at first), because I'm also a Slasher and Tim Burton fan, and then i steadily grew to love her. This video really did help me love her even more and I've also gained a liking to the other fae knights thank to your other two videos so thank you! 😊💚 P.S. the more I think of her 1st design, the more I think she should have a wonderland event as The Queen Of Hearts, maybe that way we could have her as a Castor, thoughts?♥️🃏🤔

Honestly, I always thought her third ascension fit the description of a Banshee the most both in appearance and nature. With the dirty white dress and the tear streaks. The name even matches phonetically.
I love the design but personally do not use it because it’s basically all her suffering manifested and even her voice lines pertains to every pain she felt over the hundreds of years she was alive. I just want Morgan the Tam Lins to be happy for once🥹

@@CrazyYurieyeh na distorts profiles like how they got mordred wrong by implying that u should think of her as a man when in reality what was said is: dont call her a woman, don’t call her a man, modred is just mordred(which is only true when u are a stranger when u get close to her she dosnt mind u at all u calling her a girl also her profile clearly states: female)also yes I don’t know where the hell did they get in na the pump and dump shit when in Japanese she says she got bored easyly of them, aka more of a non lewd implication, cause the pump and dump also goes against later characterization of sith which she will flirt but it’s unlikely she actually got to the sexual part before being bored with them(it woudnt make sense story wise for sith to continue to act like a prostitute especcialy when morgan just implanted in her to go against what the other fairies wanted her to be), there is also the fact that sith slowly develops a love for master but it’s way more suddle than the other fairy knights while barghest and melusine make it very clear they love u, sith do to her morgan conditioning is a tsundere but u can get a lot from small details that na will make u probably miss, like the fact that sith unconsciously tries to get close to us under the guise that she thinks she is helping morgan to get close to us, like in valentine she makes a cursed chocolate which will destroy other chocolate when near it however one funny detail pops up when she talks about it, that this chocolate dosnt target Morgan’s chocolate and hers which dosnt make sense unless she wants to make another one for us , also the fact that sith constantly offscreen is referenced staying near us quite a lot to the point that before valentine she watched valentine themed movies with master(us)(which she thought was horror movies for some reason also yes she likes horror movies) but yeh Altho she dosnt express it outwardly by summer 8 she preaty much indirectly confessed to u and overcomes her insicurities about being Morgan’s heir and is way more confident but also trusts u to be by her side to help her which speaks volumes of sith’s true personality,(oh yeh and the fact she saved the actual tristan from a bunch of murderous boxer kangaroos by hiding him in her house in the woods) also, one fact about the baobahn sith’s as a race sure they are vampire succubus but Apparantly not all siths killed their partners Apparantly in some versions of the stories what they actually did was preaty much a bargain in exchange for giving pleasure she would be allowed to suck blood but not fatally from their partners(also makes way more sense for them do so since u know killing their partners would just leave them on the shit list of many humans)aka the fact siths killed their victims in brutal ways is likely to the christianization of Celtic myths and that likely changed many neutral fairies into evil ones just by association with certaint traits they had also the fact that in said tales the siths are considered as kind and do not want to harm their partners more than necessary. Which also probably ties in old baobhan sith’s character description before morgan found her of being someone that was really kind towards others but got exploited because of it.
I just got her now and when ascending her to 2-nd ascension she metions that green dresses are to fancy for her so there IS a connection to original mythological imagery
Something I noticed while reading (That I might be making up couse vague memory) Is that the holy priestress that served under Cermunnos, which was brutally dismembered for no good reason, was the original fairy tristan. She got lied to and used back then, and the process reapeated every time she reincarnated... Leading to Morgan saving her. What do you think?
The original priestess was a human not a fairy They were the one used as the base to clone all of the humans of LB6 It's and interesting idea but I think it's more coincidence that leads into her summer 8 form than a direct line comparison Parallel tracks if you will, heading to the same destination but not connected directly
It's not possible for her to be the priestess since the priestess was not dead. She was kept alive and the faeries keep dismenbering her, make human from the parts, then restore her, rinse and repeat. Also, Baobhan Sith was a fairy, so she has to be descended from another fairy, not human. Baobahn Sith's life was rather a parallel to Morgan that led to Morgan saving her.
Dunno anything about the Tam Lin but I do know that Bhaoban Shi's clothing aren't red. They're *Magenta* which is a dark shade of pink that falls unto a category of color of its own

I believe she also devoured Grimalken like Barghest with Foul Weather Her NP should be more accurate Fetish Failnaught as a fetish can be a term used to describe a magical focus that could be compared to a voodoo doll though Fetish are usually protective in nature not harmful but i understand the translation team thinking thag might be a but much I think that comment to Barghest about love life is a double entendre for her killing of fae as well I think you are supposed to take it both ways Really the most true to myth of the three Tam Lin and a seriously good daughter

I’m going to be honest, she is easily my least favorite of the Tam Lin. I don’t enjoy her character or her personality in LB6 and I didn’t feel bad for her when she went insane or when Morgan was butchered.
