People have brought this up so I do want to clarify Bao is not a Banshee. I used the term banshee for pronunciation purposes. They are different figures in folklore. Sorry for any confusion!
@@klidge whoa whao whao in fate servant chronology when you got to fairy knight tristan you said that banshee's have been around since wind blew through mud houses does tthat mean you were confused
If I remember correctly, Baobhan Sith is the only fairy that ever thanked Morgan for everything she did. I find it a touching detail and a reminder that we should burn the fairies
Indeed, except the ones we saved. Hell, our beloved Barghest came to that conclusion after seeing how the fairies were taking joy in massacring humans in a similar manner to how a child may find joy in secretly eating cookies behind their parent’s backs.
Don't forget about how he killed his mom for fun and broke Mash's fingers "because he loved her". He's a horrible bastard who not even hell would want.
Despite the similar names, baobhan sith and banshees aren't one and the same. Baobhan sith are female fairy vampires that seduce men to drink their blood; banshees are female fairies that mourn the coming death of a family member. Baobhan sith are from Scottish folklore, banshees are from Irish folklore.
... and now Summer Baobhan Sith is larping as Cernunnos' priestess. My current assumption is that she assumed the role to deliberately avoid association with her last incarnation which was by far the most hated she had become, hence the pretender class.
Her valentine scene is actually pretty funny, i think she has opened up a little in chaldea. She deserves all the happiness after what those damn fae did to everyone on this LB
Going through the chapter she read to me as what I first thought at first was a victim of Beryl's grooming. But as the rest came out it became clear that he was just the latest issue ruining her. Don't have a bone in my body that could hate this Tam Lin* I'm surprised that she's so divisive.
One theory I read somewhere said that Sith is the reincarnated version of the priest of cernunnos. They both share some similarities in their story and if it was her and cernunnos recognised this its even more of a reason why he woke up.
It's a fun theory, but I'm not sure it bears out in lore. The priestess was a human (the only one, in fact; all other humans on the island are build from her genetic mould), and Baobhan Sith definitely isn't.
Another problem with that theory is that the original 6 fairies cursed her with immortality as they tore her apart, so she's still alive. In fact, considering the unique situation of Fairy Britain and the Abyssal Worm, she's probably still alive, in pieces, and falling for eternity.
@IshidaRyusaki If I'm remembering correctly, the fae used her prices to "grow" Humans, so not only is she still alive, every human we see in the lostbelt is an offshoot of her.
@@TheFantasyChronicler It was said that while rare it’s possible for a “successor” fairy to be born while their predecessor is still alive Not saying this confirms the theory. But something that might be good to remember.
So does that mean Tristan became cernunnos as a calamity just like Lancelot and Tristan became Calamitys? That part always confused me since we got Barghast, Albion, and then no Baobahn Sith. Just seems appropriate that She'd come back as A zombie/vampire hybrid with an army of the undead/mors that would hunt down any remaining fairies that didn't get eaten or burned alive. Although I guess having the massive number of curses wash over the land and then the incest void suck them in probably did that already.
She basically did, yes. It's very strongly implied that she became the core of Cernunnos and was basically the soul that put his body to motion. If you pay attention during the fight, he even uses her skills.
So all 3 Tam Lins became calamities to destroy the Faeries. Kinda fitting to be fair since Fae kind weren't too kind towards these 3.. I'm just glad they get to have some fun in Chaldeas, their Valentine scenes are proof of that.
To be clear, they're calamities through and through dressed up with the knights of the round table saint graphs. They just showed their true forms and Morgan being the last thread holding this trainwreck lostbelt from bursting at the seams is the only thing that's stopping them.
Biggest surprise for me In lb6 was how much I ended up loving the tam lin. What i thought were going to be fairly boring overly serious knights instead were incredibly tragic and sympathetic heroines, who deserve all the love they can get in chaldea. Sith had the greatest swing from character I hated to loved, with that throne room scene making me want to scream. And her story managed to do something I thought impossible. Make me hate that scum sucker Beryl even more. Damn lostbelt 6 was something else
I'd love to see more of this type of content! Cause honestly? it's A LOT of reading and i can only absorb so much info at a time, so hearing an explanation really helps. Like, now I can really understand and sympathize with Sith's plight. Do I still not like her personally? No, but do I understand now why she did what she did, yes.
I had a feeling I'd like her when I first started, but I wasn't quite sure why. There was just something about her that I knew I'd end up liking. After learning her story, I absolutely loved her. I managed to get her NP7 and I can't even bring myself to burn the extra copies of her. She is Daughter now and she must be protected at all costs. Looking forward to cosplaying her someday!
I'd enjoy seeing more of these. And yeah, Sith is a subtle character who gets used and abused by pretty much everyone in her life. Yes, even Morgan. Telling her she has to become a monster to live is harsh. Granted, its the least harsh of all the things we've seen. I felt pity for her as I played through the story. There is good in there. But that world tortured good and stomped it out by and large. It twisted nearly all good folk in there into monsters. And eventually, they truly became monsters of shadow and death. I started hating Beryl and honestly wish Mash had done a shield spin upper to his junk at the end. He was one of the most evil SOBs in that Lostbelt as he knew the difference and he didn't care.
Granted, for Morgan, she had tried to save Sith every time, but always ended up failing. In the manga, it showed Morgan clearly being a kind and loving mother at first, but Sith just kept on being betrayed and dying, despite how much Morgan tried to protect her. This is what led Morgan to tell her to live a cruel life, since that's the only way she can survive. Remember: if it is for Sith's happiness, Morgan would be willing to even give up her dream Britain.
@@bluerhana1479 First time I heard there was a manga for LB6. Regardless, even in game it was clear that Sith was one of the few people Morgan genuinely loved. But sadly, that proved to be Morgan's downfall as Spriggan used that love against her. Another reason why LB6 is a world that deserves to burn.
@@darkstorm2579 the manga is From Lostbelt, a collection of short stories about many characters from each LB. And yes, I do know of Sith's downfall, but saying that she was used by Morgan is entirely wrong.
@@bluerhana1479 I never said that Morgan used her, which I agree is wrong to say as that's not what happened at all. And thanks for telling me about the manga. I'll check it out because it sounds interesting.
@@darkstorm2579 ah, no. Sorry I'm not talking about you, but the original comment. Really recommend the manga. It gives a little more to every character, especially the LB 6 cast.
I could be reading into Artoria face-ness, but I also thought that Baobahn unconsciously saw her mother in Castoria which was another reason she was not immediately hostile toward her.
I don't think you're necessarily wrong as Castoria and Morgan look very similar since they were created to be the same role. Heck, we see through Mash that Morgan used to look exactly like Castoria prior to becoming the high queen, so it's possible that made Baobahn relax a little around Castoria.
Would so love more of this kind of series!! Character is honestly one of the most interesting parts of fate and lb6 is the best recent example of it. Id love to see analysis like this the other tam lin or Oberon.
i really enjoyed your analysis on Baobhan Sith's character. you've helped me to understood her character, because i felt like that something about her has slipped away from me. good job! i also would really love to see your analysis on other characters, hopefully, this will become a new video cycle
It’s funny, while reading LB6 it really didn’t feel like we saw Sith at all because her scenes were so few and far between. But when you lay it out like this, her story is actually really nice. Sure, it plays out in the background mostly and a lot of it is implied rather than implicitly told/shown, but it’s still there. It also makes you appreciate just how long LB6 is… you had time to write a 7 minute video explaining a character that most people say didn’t get any screen time.
Very nice Video! I love all of the fairy knights/Tam Lins. My theory is that Sith was born from the anger of Cern's priestess. In fact, there is a parallel between the human priestess and Baobahn Sith. Both succeeded in calling a deity (Cern) into the world to punish the wrongdoing of the fairies. The priestess called him with prayers and Sith became his "divine core". At the end of their lives, both the priestess and Baobahn Sith were dismembered by british fairies, but did not die quickly enough to escape the pain. On top of that, Sith wasn't angry at castoria when she first met her and even consider her as a possible friend. I guess she subconsciously recognized castoria's true nature as a "fairy of paradise" (like morgan), who isn't a descend of the original 6 from britain. Since sith was most likely born from the remains of the priestess, she has high compatibility to act as the "divine core". In the story it was often mentioned that faes were "disposed of" in the pit, but it was only through Sith's wish and her own sacrifice that Cern's corpse was able to awaken. I don't think all of this implications are an coincident, especially because Nasu love to write nuances like that in his story.
Well, considering that Oberon-Vortigern was born out of Britain's own desire to be destroyed, it's possible, but unlikely. Baobhan Sith's true nature is a kind fairy. No matter how many times she was betrayed and killed, she never lashed out at them and forgave them. It was only after Morgan was killed right in front of her that she finally broke.
FYi, In Scottish Gaelic the 'fairy woman' is called the baobhan sith and should be distinguished from the banshee (bean sidhe). One is a vamoire/predator and the other merely foretells death and is connected to specific families. p.s. I love FK Tristan too.
I love how at first you hate her for her actions. But the more you understand faeries, the more you realize she's kinda not that despicable. And when you know everything you realize that she did nothing wrong and the faeries deserve every suffering they get
Morgan enjoyed her daughter torture inflicted on fairies in my view. She saw this as fair punishment. ( Btw I know Morgan is a tyrant but her death was just hard to witness. )
SPOILERS: I believe that we were meant to fight Sith in her third ascension inside cernunnos's core, since in that form what she went through is much clearer. I mean, when it was literally said "There's a sacrifice in his core keeping him going" I was sure of it, especially since usually the final blow is dealt in gameplay and not in cutscene. The only issue is that castoria would have had to be there, which was of course not possible considering she turned herself into a pipebomb. Still, it's a shame, I wish she got some sort of closure, but no fairy really had that.
That is plausible as aside from that, there's not much explanation for why her third ascension is the way it is. Both Barghest and Melusine's are explained in the story as their true natures. Meanwhile Sith's just kinda comes out of nowhere (although I guess it's somewhat explained thanks to the throne room scene).
She might or might not be the priestess of Cernunnos reincarnated which explains would why a. She is the only fairy not a jerk enough to show Morgan gratitude (She's just built different) b. She resurrecting Cernunnos (Which she seem to do it by becoming the core of him) AlsoI imagine the really weird part of her bio saying that she have riding skill because "she strides across the earth on her own two feet." can be explained by saying that Cernunnos is the earth of fae Britain and thie priestess did ride on his shoulder in the flashback.
The riding part is written that way because, in folklore, baobhan sith have deer hooves for feet. She's her own mount, basically. Also, Cernunnos isn't the earth of Fey Britain, the dead fairies are. His corpse is very specifically the part of the island that you can't walk on.
@@HunterTracksCernunnos is specifically the original only piece of land of fae Britain and the fae started dieing later, the corpse was land before the curse accumulated. And Sith didn't exactly died falling onto his corpse, she just presumably became the divine core of Cernunnos, so it might be safe for her specifically (she was heavily wounded beforehand and she would probably just cease to exist upon any more damage). The deer hooves is one way to read into it but it's very unclear either way.
Oooooh, this would be such an interesting series. Can’t wait for more. It really is hard to hate baobhan sith completely after learning the entirely of her story
As much as I like the girl that I would never keep her in 3rd ascension, I would still remember that this same girl sent me on a tedious quest to get a few hundred feetpics
Sith was influence by Elizabeth in her design and personality fun fact. In fact she was nearly seal in her room during the losbelt similar to Elizabeth.
Baobban Sith was not a character I was all that interested in when I started playing Avalon le Fae. But as the story continued to progress I couldn’t help but sympathize and feel bad for her after learning about all the cruelty she had to endure. Also I couldn’t help but get a little emotional after seeing how Boabbans story ended and hope that she and Morgan can find some peace now.❤😢 😭
After the throne room scene i was like. "Yes Morgan, i loved your Britain... _Now its time to burn it to the ground."_ And who would have guessed, it really was burnt to the ground lol. I guess i understan why Dnd players keep saying "burn the fae"
At first I hated Baobhan Sith’s character, the whole daughter of a powerful figure doing whatever they want was irksome. After we find out her backstory and why she acted the way she did, I still don’t like her behavior in the earlier parts of the lost belt but make no mistake, I understand her. Screw fairies.
I, as a massive fan of Bao, have nothing new to really add that hasn't been said. Although, that being said... I personally would have written things differently if I was given a chance. As much as I love the story, I feel as if parts still deserved some extra rewriting. Unfortunately, some of my problems can really only be fixed if it were a standalone story and not transfixed onto the overarching narrative. Something I have been mulling over, and this is a good time to bring it up, is how Bao is treated with the last few chapters of Act 2. Honestly, I would have written her to have lived the end and have to deal witha world Post Morgan, having a character like her experience such a depressing reality, and having her try to find ways to get Morgan back, leading to her trying to harm Castoria and failing because she just couldn't really find a reason to hurt someone if there was no one to please. This could lead to the two of them talking things over, where Castoria even talks about her own life and shows that they aren't all too far off from each other. Castoria giving Bao the chance to do something that she wants to do, which is something she can't say about herself as her destiny is already set. Of course, several other moments would have to be rewritten, for example I would honestly have had Cern be held back by the Rhongomyniads at the top as sort of shackles, instead of ready to fire out when he awakens. I would also rewrite the entire Lost Will section as I didn't really like the set up to there, plus New Darlington has less shown than told compared to most of the other towns. My main reason for saying all this, aside from technical bias, is that Bao does have the least amount of information given and doesn't feel like she had a good enough character arc, especially compared to the other Tam Lins who had much more fleshed out beginnings to endings. Also, if she does have a bit of a redemption arc, it would have made it more interesting in my opinion, there is no going back to the old ways... but a good enough medium is all I wanted. ... Ah well, at least in Chaldea she becomes more like what I would have wanted.
Personally, I would have loved to see more interactions between her and Morgan. They're supposed to be mother and daughter after all. Maybe even see flashbacks of Morgan raising her. Still don't get why Morgan let Beryl get so close to her daughter. Sure, he helped teach Baobhan ways to be cruel, which is what Morgan wanted, but Beryl did it in a way that made it worse. Not to mention he taught her a type of magic that wears on her soul without even telling her.
@@darkstorm2579 Frankly, I think there should have been more with Morgan and others. Like, I would have loved if there was a flashback to Bao waking up from a nightmare about her past that she doesn't exactly remember, which Morgan then comforts her and sings a lullaby that is the same one that Bao recites in her A3. And... honestly, Morgan should have confronted Beryl on how he's been around Bao so much and about the magic he's been teaching her. Which could end with Morgan ordering Barg to go and capture Beryl from New Darlington, which could have been how Chaldea got involved instead of the Lost Will scene. I think that Morgan really should have been shown as to ruthless to most fae, and then have Bao be the only one that she even remotely helps. Heck, you don't have to make her crack even a smile while doing it, and plus Morgan was supposed to be somewhat humanized and yet she didn't get scenes where she talks with each Tam Lin individually. Show that she still values each of them, but she still plans to use both Barg and Melu for their Calamity purposes. It's... actually kinda sad how much potential is missing from the story, but that's bound to happen with the type of game this is unfortunately. Still doesn't mean it's not impressive.
@@DayLink Honestly, as a Morgan fan, I like your ideas, especially regarding Baobhan Sith. There should have been more foreshadowing over her past and Morgan actually being a mother to her. Yeah, we're constantly told by other fairies that Morgan lets Sith do whatever she pleases, but until the throne room scene, we never get even a hint as to why Morgan cares about Sith. Now that I think about it, why the heck did Morgan keep Beryl around after Olympus? He pretty much served his purpose by that point so why keep him around?
@@darkstorm2579 Most likely because Morgan can keep him in line in case he tries to act up, and also for the sake of Bao. Plus he's still the Crypter, and isn't actively harming Britain itself, just the fae and humans that live there. Which Morgan is fine with being culled when needed. So really, if anything he's still useful in little ways that she can still make use of.
@@DayLink True, though I feel like she would have taken Beryl out if she found out that the magic he taught Sith actually rots her soul, taking advantage of her naivety like the fairies have done countless times. While Morgan may not outwardly show it (likely as a way to protect her), she does care deeply about Sith.
@klidge I luv you so much rn, after watching this video I sort of want to get a Bao for my own and I did one pull and not only I got her but an NP2 Morgan as well. God, what a catalyst this video is. Oh, and nice character video as always..
I went from hating her, to seeing this video and feeling really bad for hating her. Kind of like seeing Flowey and then seeing Asriel. Now she’s my favourite Tam Lin tied only with Melusine. And with the summer form where she reverts back to her true personality of a sweet tsundere thanks to the power of making friends and being in a more healthy environment, she’s an S tier waifu in my book alongside Mash and Musashi.
Best girl and grailed to 100 hopefully to 120. Nice to see someone shine a spotlight on our heel loving girl. May she forever find happiness in chaldea away from those horrid fairies.
One of the only love-hate servants relationship I have. Love the design, lore and gameplay, yet despise her personality and how she treats the player in the MyRoom interactions.
I really wish I liked Baobhan Sith but the story just did too good a job of making me hate her in the beginning and tried to make me feel sympathy for her too late. Compared to Barghest and Melusine, where we start to see their redeeming qualities by about halfway through the story and even when they ultimately become threats we have to deal with, I feel sorry for them... Boabhan's backstory reveal comes very late on, and before we even have a chance to entertain the idea of her being redeemable, she immediately suffers a horrible fate (that we play no real part in). Which is doubly a shame, since out of the three Tam Lin she's the one that actually could have had a happy ending if things had gone differently, whereas the other two were doomed by their very nature. If the story had teased that a bit more and taken the time to get me invested in who she really was underneath the facade before killing her off, she'd probably be my favourite Tam Lin by a wide margin, instead of my least favourite. (Also, the recent Feet/GO tower event hasn't done her any favours in terms of making me like her either...)
More or less my thoughts. Although I do feel bad for her but that's it. I wouldn't say I love her. Great character but don't care for her much ultimately. Didn't really do it for me like Melu and Barghest did
ELIZABETH video then. Also I find it funny how of he 3 tam lin serving undrr morgan, there could be an argument she was the less awfull. The 2 others are able to keep up with appearence but they re horrible as people. Bargest will constantly show herself to be cruel and eating people (and tristan love hanging around her just to watch her being an awfull person. Tristan just being happy by sitting here and watching should be a big warning) As for melucine, just just enjoy killing people as painfully as possible. I mean, at least tristan has a reason, the 2 others are literally just monsters that do as they please and probably only have their reputations because the people they murder either aren't alive or were slaves.
At first, I kinda disliked her due to her personality as a bratty spoiled brat but never really hated her... then after finding out what happened to her it made me feel bad for her as she's kinda like Castoria and Morgan in a way.. working hard for people who dont give a damn about you.. It also made the fight against that bastard Beryl all the more satisfying when you beat the living shit out of him.
It's so hard for me to have a clear opinion on tristan. I find her actions and personality revolting, how she mocks and humiliates everyone. Her valentine scene for me is too horrible, cause she made something just to make sure everyone else fails at giving master their chocolate, and imagining the failed scenes make me mad, But other moments make me want to protect her too, just like with Morgan. They've both been victims, constantly, and have suffered so much. I feel really bad about that
More than any other servant variation, I want something similar to Baobhan Sith (Lily) I say similar because I mean for it to still be the Baobhan Sith we met in Faerie Britain and summoned to our Chaldea, but allowing her to drop the sadistic façade in the safety of Chaldea. After being summoned to Chaldea, Morgan acts less like the Ice Queen and Melusine lets her personality show, so why not let Baobhan Sith change similarly?
Even with how awful the Cernunos fight is I still feel a lot of sympathy for her We really did try to do right by the people that mattered in lb6 even if a lot of that is hindsight now
Seriously though, most of the fairies in LB 6 are fucking psychos. Their action are called 'Innocent' just because they're looking for something 'fun'.
I have to admit I'm kind of surprised she's popular. Her role in LB6 is almost inconsequencial and if your remove her altogether, almost nothing changes in the Lostbelt. She felt to me like a walking plot device for Morgan's death and Cernunnos' awakening, and not a real character
I have a few questions about LB6 first up Aesec and Morgan, if habetrot was erased from existence when Mash realized who she was, why didn’t Morgan who Mash knew was Aesec? I had a discussion with someone about this and at first we believe that Morgan was being anchored to reality via her contract with Beryl……..except we realized that’s not actually the case. The Morgan we encounter isn’t actually a servant just Aesec having the memories of Ruler Morgan transplanted into her mind , hell the Beryl we encounter is actually not the same Beryl we have encountered throughout the story, just a perfect replica of him, the orginal Beryl was erased from existence when Morgan rewrote the past of LB6 causing the present that the orginal Beryl to be in be erased from existence. The beryl copy even has a bit where he acknowledges that he had essentially died and was brought back a second time. So given all of this, Morgan not actually being Morgan, Beryl not actually being Beryl how the hell did Morgan avoid the universe basically going “WAIT A MINUTE…….YOUR NOT REAL”
Morgan didn't disappear because she, Aesc, was the one to destroy the tree and use its power to make it a lost world. Harbetrot and almost every fairy were supposed to die on that day, but she survived because of Grimr's dust. Basically, the reason is that Habetrot should be dead according to the world's records and Morgan isn't, she never died during the 1 Fae Era. As you say, this Morgan is Vivian with the memories of PHH Morgan, she is Vivian, the fae of paradise from that lost belt and PHH servant Morgan performed a rayshift to send the memories back. That is the right morgan with the wrong memories and the world does not correct memories, it only corrects minor time fluctuations. For Beryl and all the fae, Morgan used the magic from the tree to sustain all of them and replicate them perfectly by herself, this was Morgan's genius mind of magic at work and that's why fae have command seals that sap the magic tax from them, she basically recycled the magic slowly into her Rhongomyniad to prepare for whenever Cernunnos and Vortigern awaken. Long and short of it, Morgan was the original, Beryl was a copy constantly sustained by Morgan's spell and Habetrot was the original that was supposed to be dead.
My theory, Fairy history is split into the two eras Pre-Morgan and post. Once Aesec became Morgan, that was the end of Aesec. She cut her thread and wove in Morgan's. Do note that several others from the pre era survived including a certain knight turned blacksmith. Habby however, wanted to help Mash. She wanted a sure fire way to get to the present too. So Aesec set up the loophole to help her time jump to there. But that it would catch up with her eventually. This is why Habbycat has to resist fading away. Why she grows tired after Mash returns. Its saving power to fight against it and avoiding Mash's memories speeding it up. But also, the Black Barrel is poisoning her. One more thing to fight against. So when she returns it, she used all her strength to get it back. To help save Mash and let go of fighting all the things trying to pull her apart.
Aesc/Morgan (berserker) is real Beryl summons servant Morgan (ruler), servant Morgan (ruler) then goes back in time four thousand years ago and told the newly born Aesc/Morgan(berserker) everything that would happen and the knowledge of PHH, after which servant Morgan (ruler) shattered. Aesc/Morgan(berserker) then decided to forego her mission as the fairy of paradise and instead tried to become a savior, met Mash and then became High Queen Morgan after the great calamity. That's the reason Beryl is Morgan's master but Morgan is not Beryl's servant Habetrot, for all those years, purposefully did not meet Aesc/Morgan(berserker) and came up with an excuse when we were granted an audience hope this helps
Morgan didn’t retain any memories of Mash, while Habetrot did. In the Fae era, Britain was a Lostbelt, its “not reality” so events had leeway to be altered, thus Mash could be sent there. On the other hand, since the High Queen era was a Lostworld and thus subject to logic and reality, the history could not be altered. Therefore Mash, who did not exist in the history of the Era of the High Queen at Year 1, would disappear at the turn of the eras. This is circumvented by giving Mash a different name, Galahad, and making her the “First Tam Lin” who dies in the Fae Era. This helps Mash become congruent to the history of the High Queen Era, allowing her to survive until the present. Possibly due to the necessity of there only being 1 “First Tam Lin”, everyone must forget Mash, even Morgan. Totorot on the other hand, insisted she wanted to remember Mash, thus the converse had to be true, Mash had to forget Totorot. When Mash remembered her, Totorot had to disappear to resolve the paradox.
So, would you say her final ascension is what she would ultimately become after consistently using Beryl's witchcraft? I never really grasped what it was, especially since both Barghest and Albion have very direct meanings to their own ascensions.
Either that is what she became when Morgan found her, dismembered and everything, or it could be what happened after she kept using Fetch Failnaught over and over again. Considering her kit is optimised to have her spam out her NP, which in the story caused her soul to rot, it may be the second. But worry not, as changing her Ascension level fixed everything, as seen as how she was completely fine on Valentine's Day.
Of the three Tam Lins, Baobhan Sith is probably the one I cared the least in Avalon the Fae itself. Not because I don't get her character, but because a lot of her characters feel half-written. To start with, he being "Tam Lin Tristan" is just something Morgan slap onto her and her being associated with Tristan are hardly elaborated on unless you really want to go into the whole sadness thing. Her backstory before she became Tam Lin Tristan is something that we are merely told about without being shown much of anything about it. We don't see her in the Fragments sections, nor is there a flashback to her time as Grimalkin's servant and the eventual Darlington zombie incident. We don't even get to visit New Darlington proper, so stuff about it is just told to us. The biggest thing, however, is Sith's Third Ascension. As of this writing, that Ascension hasn't appeared in anything, nor has it been given any real explanation beyond what you can tell about Sith's true nature in LB6. The fact that it has no dialogue to other Servants or story-locked lines to make it seem better, her Third Ascension is less of "This is what Baobhan Sith really is" and just a grim note to end her existence as a Servant. That being said, I cannot say I hate Baobhan Sith as a whole because all of the events after Avalon le Fae have helped her be more fleshed out in a good way. So good for you for recovering.
Reading through LB6 I went from hating her, to understanding her to pitying her. She's still not one of my favorite characters, but man I would be lying if I'd say that she's badly written. (Also she seems to not leave me alone as I got her NP7 while rolling for both Mothman and Morgan.)
Personally i'm conflicted with Tristan, while tragic i cannot really feel sorry for her. It's kind of like "you reap what you sow" as she basically remains a horrible character with little to no change. I understand her doing what she did but that still does not make it right. And it is not something you could only blame on "fairies are evil" or even the good for nothing bastard Beryl either, Morgan herself had a big hand in this as well: both in raising her like this and letting people like Beryl corrupt her even further. Easily Morgan's biggest failure that led to her own downfall. (I'm also not fooling myself that out of the 400 000 fairies Tristan killed during her carrier as FK, there had to be around innocent fairies and humans casualties as well).
she did nothing wrong and doesnt deserve what happened to her period........ ok with some of her act she might be a lil bit buts its the faeries fault and beryl!!!
Well she did commit acts of cruelty which by itself are still wrong no matter how you put it. That being said, I can understand why she does what she does.
@@ChaldeaWarmasterShe was specifically directed by her mother and Beryl to be as cruel as possible. Otherwise, she would just get used and tossed aside by the faeries again.
@@HunterTracks Yes, I know. I get that there was no other way considering how cruel the faeries nature is. At the very least in Chaldea she has no need to be like that anymore.
