So apparently Drinkwater is a legit last name in Australia and it might not be a stage name. That's still comedic to me. It also doesn't make the second part of the original point untrue. I had too many examples to show of people in bigger bodies virtue signaling about how much water they drink. Edit: I keep getting messages about this so I'll state it here. Kelli Jean Drinkwater did not die in 2017. That was a hoax and it's why I didn't state it in the video. She has film credits up to 2020 on IMDB. I checked for that during the research because it's been 10 years since Fat Fighters was filmed so that is a possibility. Obviously something like that would indicate how dangerous this lifestyle is so typically it's something I check for if the event is old. Kelli is still alive as far as I can tell. Jennifer Lee also appears to still be alive as she wrote an article for Taylor & Francis Online in 2022. Second Edit: Multiple swimmers in the comments have said at peak fitness, they would have trouble swimming 2.5km (1.5 miles) in day.

For the record - processed foods, ESPECIALLY fast food - are more drugs than food. People right now, are comparing the labels of products from other countries to America's - and the same product in another country will have a few simple ingredients - while ours are filled with different poisons; masquerading as flavor enhancers and the like. It is no different than telling a crack addict, "just stop doing crack, bro". These people need rehab clinics; no different than people on hard drugs.

No because it's not weird or bad till like the color orange..... You wouldn't have to justify liking the color orange.... It's almost as if they know something's wrong with them.... As someone with a bit of a drinking problem myself, I gotta say damn, a liter a day? That's crazy! I drink between 250ml - 350ml a day, 3-4 days a week. But I also eat very healthy and workout everyday. To the point that I look like I'm either an amateur bodybuilder or about to audition for the next Baywatch film. No one knows that I even drink, let alone have a problem. If I mention to someone that I drink, their reaction is something like "What, seriously? How? You're in such good shape". That said, despite a strict diet (minus the booze), a rigorous workout regime, and forcing myself not to do it EVERY night, I often wake up late, feeling like crap, immediately regretting my decision the night before and wondering why the hell I did it to myself yet again. I swam over a mile once. I'm a strong swimmer and wanted to swim across a lake that was 1.2 miles across. It was very hard. I eventually stopped freestyle and did sidestroke. I made it but I felt foolish afterwards since I could barely walk anymore I was so spent. Small waves began to feel strenuous. Going to type from the heart here; I’m permanently disabled after a failed spinal fusion that got infected with MRSA. I spent almost 10 years in a wheelchair or with a walker. I ballooned up to 260 lbs. After seeing a new doctor and working like crazy, I can now walk with a cane only. I will NEVER use my disability as an excuse to be fat. I dropped back down to my normal 210 lbs (I am 6’2”) but had been having issues with the “opioid epidemic” people influencing government and the doctors kept cutting my meds. I’m back around 220 lbs but finally have my rheumatologist that does my pain management now. I wanted to share all that because these people make me sick. I would give just about anything to be able to go to the gym and lift weights again and they can’t be bothered to do the work. The only exercise my body can tolerate is walking and I walk 1-2 miles a day, even when it hurts like hell.

For two weeks, I only drank water and ate nothing. I got so weak that my husband had to help me get to the emergency room where they gave me an IV of nutrients. If they were truly as happy as they say then why are they seemingly always so grumpy and defensive about everything? Being fat sucks, especially if you're super fat then the problems just keep compounding on top of eachother the bigger you get and that's why they are always grumpy cuz their very existence is a pain in the ass. But noooo they rather the world change for them instead of them just dealing with the problem. "make larger sized clothes, make bigger seats, bigger chairs, bigger everything". "mam we make clothes for HUMANS we don't make clothes for orcas". Like honestly it's getting ridiculous. And I'm not trying to bash a fat person in particular but the obesity problem the world has as a whole. The fact that 5XL in clothing even exists is fucking ridiculous. I don't know what the largest available size in clothing is and how tf those 600+ pound people can even find clothes at all. I'm a woman in Sweden weighing 140 pounds(75 kg) and finding pants that fit me is a pain in the ass cuz most stores in Sweden sell for teens that are skinny haha. If I was the size of those super big people that would suck so hard but also a good wake up call IMO. I already lost 15 kg myself a couple years back and then I gained 5 kg back when I stopped smoking. I used to be friends with a woman that was severely morbidly obese - who actually wasn't at fault. She had very severe, undiagnosed Endometriosis and along with that hormonal issues that caused her to retain water and be hypersensitive to certain foods, complete with a BED caused by that. Soon after she got the diagnosis she started a diet and despite the severe calorie deficit, she quite literally crawled her way down. The food she eats daily is a veggie wrap with mayo, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Then on specific days we come and visit her and cook food with her. We even made weightloss cabbage soup and it was killer! Just makes me mad these people make excuses bc its really hard for some bigger people to lose weight. For the people making excuses though, they can just calorie deficit and exercise and lose like 10 lbs in one month. 😒

I only recently learned about insulin resistance. It's possible lots of overweight or even slightly fat people suffer from it, which makes losing weight hard. Not to mention things like low moods due to mental illnesses. I don't think it's our place in society to judge these people. At the end of the day it's*their* knees that hurt, not mine. They're baring all the consequences of their actions why would I howl down on them? It's pointless it's redundant. The only way obese people affect others is through health insurance. But the public doesn't hassle cancer patients for taking up so much resources, do they? People are outraged at the overweight for no reason.

@@Mupyeong let me guess, nurses? Injury on the job wasn't due to the overweight people but due to your company failing to provide necessary tools that insure nurses' safety. Nurses can injure themselves even with average weight people simply bc it's hard on the knees, back and body to carry someone bigger size than you Mechanical lifts exist and they need to be provided at hospitals and nursing homes and ideally anywhere else a bed ridden or disabled patient exists. Most outrage comments that exist on the net are not from healthcare workers including the yter who posted this. P.S. I once saw an overweight person working at the hospital as one of those people who move patients on the bed in ER.
@Mupyeong
@Mupyeong Год назад
@@LovelyLittleLillies Paramedic but nice try. Also, a mechanical lift was one of the injury sources because the interface isn't normed and you just can not use it properly on some people, heck, not even everyone has it. Specialized equipment past a certain weight also costs a load of money so either patients can't afford it or insurances become greedy. There are also kinetic courses for nurses and healthcare workers which often don't get paid for by employers but are out of pocket and have to be attended on your spare time. Ideally, a lot of things make sense but also ideally, severely obese people wouldn't exist. I have btw also dealt with minor obesity as a result of cancer therapy. Again, not everyone can actually control their weight (with normal means). But most people can and I don't think supporting preventable issues instead of solutions is the right way.

(To give an example of how fit I was, part of lifeguard training for me was treading water holding 2 20lbs bricks for 10 minutes at a time as well as swimming laps, I almost wish I could do it all again lol) Miss Drinkwater isn't managing that, weight is reduced in water, mass is not and you still have to drag it all as you swim, not to mention the excessive drag her... sizable body would generate in the water. If she's swimming a mile and a half EVERY DAY she'd have to be just hammering down food to maintain that weight. I lied to myself and everyone else for all that time, eating good in front of people, and then eating like shit alone. Telling my wife I was “going to the gym” at midnight then going to whatever fast food joint of my choosing instead and eating 1000-1500 calories worth of junk food in one sitting. Giving into temptations driving home from work, stopping somewhere to get random shit like ice cream cones or shakes, doing that multiple times a day. Snacking on everything in the pantry at home, trying to be discreet as possible taking little by little at a time. My wife would get confused about the cookie trays, Ice cream, fruit juices, etc. running out sooner than she expected. I was easily putting down 3500-5000 calories a day during my binge periods. I say periods because I’d go on “health kicks” and be consistent for a week or two at a time, but it was really me just starving myself and over exercising, then I’d break and start it all over again. I’m tearing up rn writing this because of how miserable I was, all those years wasted, unhappy with myself and lying to everyone. Those night in my car after binging, I’d cry my eyes out after, knowing what I was doing was wrong, I never calculated it, but I’d imagine I wasted thousands of dollars binging. I had roux in y bypass 2 years ago. I lost 150lbs & still need to lose 60 to get down to my ideal weight. I plateaud at around 205-216 for 6 months Then I became honest with myself about how much I was eating. So now I do intermittant fasting where I eat within an 8 hr window & fast for 16hrs. So far I lost 14lbs. Now I really believe weightloss is about calories in/calories out & nutrition is important. I don’t drink soda. I was 3-4 miles a day, take the stairs & weight train. I try to eat 100g of protein a day. I cut down on fast food & fried food. So you are right about small lifestyle changes make a big difference. I started this journey making small steps. I feel soooo goood. Life is so much more than food. Life is more enjoyable when you are healthy.

When i was 17 i was 154 kg; one day after showering i looked at myself in the mirror and i was disgusted about what i saw. I became so angry at myself that i decided no matter what i will change my life. 1 and a half year later i was 80 kg. It was excrutiatingly painfull both mentally and phisically, but luckily i had my mother who helped me creating a diet and supported me mentally. In the first month of weight loss she cooked only my favourite meals which obviously i couldn't eat just to make a point: you either get my help and change your life or stuff your mouth. Weight loss is about mental strenght more than anything else, it's easy to go exercise 2 hours a day, the hard part is what you do in the rest 22 hours. If you're reading this and you're struggling with your weight remember this: you either live an unhealthy glouttonus weak existence or you take control of your life and your body and change your habbits. Make the right choice

@@banglawarlock3947 Look back at what you did before, your mindset, your routine, and your reward system. What motivated you before? Figure out if you can bring some of that back. Also try just getting back in it little by little. Don't be mean to yourself, you did it once you can do it again. Negative self talk is a huge factor in what keeps people from reaching their goals. If you want more advice I'd also suggest watching Struthless he has excellent videos on motivation, goals, and so on. It's not a super polished channel, but his videos are very helpful IMO. It helped me get out of my slump.

As an ex-obese man (lost 50kg), I can say that he's right when saying that you should begin with small objectives. I began by progessively reducing the amount of "pleasure foods" that I ate, and started walking a bit. Then as i'm a nerd, I spent a lot of time learning about nutrition and I got the reflex of looking at the labels. That absolutely threw me off some foods that I never thought were this dense in calories. Then, I started prioritizing lower calorie foods that I liked over higher calorie ones. And I never NEVER had to actually use willpower to achieve it.

If you can genuinely just "fall" into a good diet without forcing it on yourself you have made it. Just add a lil exercise here and there and you're golden. It's very hard for some people

Never counted calories or carbs or whatever; when I needed to lose some weight, I ate less.

You making a change IS willpower You MADE a decision Also simply being aware of your surroundings is not being a "nerd", you are just a normal/conscious human being. Anyhow you did a great job! Good on you for loosing 50kg! That is not an easy task.

I have two adjustable dumbbells. I put 50 lbs on each one and walked around the yard. It was exhausting to lug that around. I can’t imagine how people can walk around with 100+ pounds all day everyday. Anyone that tries hard and doesn’t lie I respect

As a food addict myself who is still struggling with that to this day (got down to overweight instead of obese back in 2019), coping when you're that size is very real and healthy at any size is a massive lie.
