This is by far the best travel log and self discovery journey movie I have ever seen. Wow, I had goosebumps all the way. Amazing Cinematography, an incredible message, a depiction of true and pure happiness and the beauty of life, of life’s “source” just shine through this. I think you captured the purpose of what it means to truly live very well in this, something our society is drifting away from right now and we need to veer back to. Truly inspirational, thank you very much.

Ironically going overseas to work was the best thing I've done. It allowed me to miss SA and not take this beautiful country for granted. Also to save enough money to come home and start my business.

There was also never a plan B for some, the idea is to open the mind up to what else is out there. SA will always be home and now since travelling there is a greater appreciation for SA since traveling and living overseas. Die wereld is groot brew

Wow Koa. Can't believe what I'm watching right now. Pretty much lived the same exact experience a couple years ago along with the same realisations about the meaning of life and going back to the source. Connecting with inspiring people, experiencing the power of nature from Transkei, the bush, the Skeleton coast... safe to say that there's something magical going on there. Now it's me sitting on a desk hustling back in Europe with this feeling of emptiness. Thanks for putting a tear in my eye and reminding me these memories. Can't wait to be able to press this Reset button and reconnect with what matters to me once again

Koa! Love you brother. This was insane! I live 2 hours away from the Wild coast South Africa. This beautiful place has been a huge part of my life since a young boy and will remain that way forever. Watching this reminded me how beautiful life is and how we should be living our lives. Taking the time to press that reset button, connecting with what matters and how that connection fills our souls and rounds us as human beings. truly inspiring Koa. Keep up the amazing work bro

This is for what our senses, bodies, abilities have evolved for. Not the structured cubicles and paved streets where we lose our ability to balance and move overall, where we lose our ability to see into distances, or notice our surroundings. Where we pick up chronic diseases that we wouldn't have. I am grateful for what life has offered to me but I have no illusions that "civilization" is not all it's hyped up to be. Thank you for a stellar film! By the way, what you found is also why I connected to surfing in the first place. I felt an immediate connection with everything I've learned about life. I felt my body and being is made for this, and "this" is so much bigger than just that wave. It's a bridge to the past, to what we humans have evolved to do. The feeling of presence, flow - it's how hunter gatherers used to lived every day, for thousands, hundreds of thousands of years before we decided to start growing single crops and build cities.

Amazing video Koa, had me captivated throughout the entire movie. As a South African myself you truly opened my eyes to the sheer reality of beautify this country has to offer. I find myself sitting here watching, struggling to fathom leaving. South Africa is a place like no other, it provides perspective and depth to the harsh reality coupled with beauty this planet has to offer. Thank you for sharing your personal milestone in such a beautiful and honest open way. At 74 looking back can intimately identify with the strong mind that makes one forget what really matters. So one starts all over again which can be a blessing if one does not judge it. Wished I could been more like how Nate is such a fun loving free spirit ... but no, was too serious. However, aging has helped me to let go more as I have less to loose within the blatant physical knowing that all I have is each day now. Extremely grateful that like you I grew up in the ocean also eating from it's fruits ... and the connection is a deep lifelong bond that means more to me now than ever. Loved that you shared this journey with best childhood friend.

Joy can only be found in your true calling, this reminded me that my current path isn’t aligned with what we all truly desires as surfers, and that’s the stillness of nature. This stillness is impossible to find these days, unless you make it a priority. Thanks for turning my compass back towards my true north

I've been following your journey for a long time, maybe already six or seven years. I'm not a surfer, so I live the surfing experience through your content :) This particular story that combines both surf and truth of our source has given me the spark that I've needed to get off my phone and laptop and plunge into the wild. You've inspired me to go out and go find my source and accomplish my childhood dreams (free diving, seeing the world, meeting people, experiencing new cultures and eating yummy foods hihi). Thank you to you and Captain Potter for bringing this film into the world, push me out of my comfort zone and GO LIVE! to be. I've been so disconnected from whom I was, so I relate to the "adulting" part that takes you away from source. I always remember when I first started surfing and was obsessed with finding goofy footers who surfed so well so learn from. I came across you skeleton bay clip of that tube and was next level inspired. Now seeing the depth, rawness and pure nature filled trip this came from has just made it 10x cooler and more inspiring. Watching this makes me so proud to be from South Africa, I have the dream wave (among many others) of some of the worlds best surfers in my backyard and I can go home to surf it every season. Every time a travel and surf somewhere else the craving to go home never goes away. What we have is truly so special.

super cool, was lucky enough to live in Kommetjie near Capetown as a teenager. love africa. surf is awesome, but hiking around Capetown, and the animal parks - Kruger, Etosha, all of Botswana, are just awesome. glad you got to experience that!
