I used to be angry when my mom buys me clothes that aren't what I described. But you see now am also a mother, i now know how difficult it is. This Christmas i walked round the market, boutiques and kiddies plaza to get a particular shade of red for her carol, only for me to buy a different shade of red, my daughter rejected it, but i made her wear it by force, my money cannot go to waste o, she cried all the way to the school and was only consoled when she saw some other kids also didn't get the shade of red correctly yet they were excited. So this is me apologising to my mom, dear mom... I'm deeply sorry.
Wow I might apologies to my Dad now he always bought me clothes and I refused them all like I can't imagine what he means taking his busy schedule to get me clothes and I reject
I'm Somali and this is sooooo accurate. My mom is both my personal shopper AND my biggest hype man. Whenever I buy new clothes I always make sure to model them for my mom cause I know she'll Gass me up.🤣
Lost my mom a 3years ago and watching this particular episode just got me screaming , my mom and I always had this banter 😂😂😂, she was so tired of me , it still didn't stop her from buying my clothes she always bought them whether I liked it or not. It's funny how I hold on to every clothe she bought for me that still sizes 😂😂😂. She was the best 😂
This is so accurate. My mum will tell you about what she went through b4 getting the clothes 😂😂 and if you say you don't like it she will say ure ungrateful🤦
I was sooo young the first time my mum bought me clothes and I said I didn't like it. I never tried it again. She explained all her stress before buying it, called me ungrateful and bugged me for days about it. Since then, even till now, always just say thank you ma, it's so beautiful 😂😂😂😂😂
One thing no one can take from Maraji... She's so relatable💯... At some point, it didn't feel like just comedy.❤️ At least, the mother bought nice clothes this time.😂💔
As a Haitian (African descendent) I can confirm this is true the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree 😂😂 They be making you feel on top of the world Fr 😭
wish I had an amazing mother like this, and how I wish African mothers we extend the love they have for their biological kids to their house girls, maids, wards living with them 😞
"You're becoming a woman of your own" lmao. Nigerian parents go dey feel the need to switch to template phases for English when them won pass moral instruction. "Remember the child of whom you are"
It's the "Ibi like say they sew cloth for your body" for me!! My auntie said the exact same thing to me this morning when I wore the dress she got me to church.
LMAO... when my mom starts that I nearly fought someone in the market for this cloth, I just wonder in my mind why she didn't just let the woman have it.
😂😂 this was practically me growing up 😁. My sis will buy you clothes you don't like, and force you to like it 😂🤣... I mean I wore clothes I clearly didn't like, who else can relate? 😁
😅 the convincing techniques that mums use and they know deep down you do not want it. My mum once bought my brother two-tone jeans that shimmer in the light 😂 he put them in the back of his wardrobe
This is my Mum and Dad exactly. I'm 30 but she still buys stuff for me... Even to the extent of sending them through courier to me. Whether it's fine or not, I wear it and do a video call with her, telling her how lovely it is. The joy it brings her, even at our ages
All mothers have a way of convincing us, I remember one particular cloth I always cry anytime she forces on me. 😂 Plus my mum love love to tuck shirts, tops or blouse with skirts and I hated it soooo much. But now as a grown up, I really like formal wears. Thanks Maraji 🥰💕
That look between the dad and the mom in the beginning is epic, so relatable, 😊you will think they want to fight each other but nah…..the next thing will be greeting and market gist😂😂
This really made me miss my mum. This is her during my childhood days . The kind of story that comes with the clothes will even force me to accept them without wearing them.
African mothers ehh... husband house is always the target for every young girl growing up 🤣🤣🤣🤣....do this because if you reach husband house, do that because if you reach husband house 🤣🤣🤣🤣...You really have wonderful African parenting experience ❤️
My mom stopped buying us clothes when we reached teenagehood, because she would buy something when you wear it you meet like 20 girls wearing the same, when we complained she stopped and if she finds something she tells you to go and see it yourself before buying, that helped her save her money on clothes we wouldn't wear.
Its funny, cause when I was a kid my dad used to get us super expensive clothes that no one else had, so we just felt so out of style, so we complained to start buying clothes on our own, but then as we grew a little more we started freaking out that we were wearing everything like everyone else, and we wanted our expensive clothes back, he wasnt going back though....
@@etelvinauacunzo2185 same here. my siblings had all of our clothes couture, everything was taking in, and my parents only had to do it once as they would get passed down to our siblings, nobody ever complained though because they were beautiful.
@@jessekimxx to this day I wonder why we complained, we literally had the most unique and beautiful pieces, it was just stupid to be fair, our clothes also passed down from one sibling to the other, it never wore out as it had such high quality, plus, I live in Angola, and I had Myley cyrus clothes, and other popular teenagers style of clothes, seriously if regret had a face it would be me and my sisters kkkk
Really.. this is so accurate. As I become older, going to the market to get outfits is even stressful because the thought of walking around to just get the kind of outfits you want is quite annoying. Really, thanks to all mom out there for not giving up on their kids.
God!!! 😄😄😄 my dad will agree to everything and say it's fine.... I remember one skirt my mum bought for me back then, I was so pissed and angry at it, but both of them teamed up and said it's very fine 😄😄😄
I am indonesian and I love this video. It makes me laugh, especially the scene with the dad where the daughter showed him the new clothes 😂😂 you're so talented, dear Maraji.
