The Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU) makes overclocking easy for beginners and experts alike. While its integrated Intel Speed Optimizer can overclock many recent unlocked Intel processors with just a click, there is a new feature in the works that takes easy overclocking to the next level: AI Assist. Using machine learning, AI Assist can analyze a system’s configuration and propose overclocked values optimized for that unique hardware. In this video we hear from the experts behind AI Assist and get a demo of it in action.

Firstly, thanks for implementing this, nice to know Blue team keep pushing limits :) Question: 1) Why only for 14900K/KF? I assume for most people without cryocooling, they would've hit TjMax just by maxxing out PL1/2/IccMax . Don't you think the i5 will have the most headroom instead? 2) Is there any kind of 'Optimism' slider in which you can adjust how 'aggresive' the AI will try to OC the CPU? E.g if default value is 6.1Ghz, then 'aggresive' would try to hit 6.2 with increasing voltages. 3) How would you suggest doing stability test for each cores with AI assist? Looking at the parameters being set, doing Prime95 smallFFT would just throttle the cpu. Best Regards, Alva

1. In this video it sounds like they are currently training using the 14900k/f, and since its a new feature they havent trained for other CPUs. I imagine as time goes on they will have training data for the i7 and i5's and thus add support. So from my view it looks like this AI Assist is essentially figuring out your CPU bin, board and cooler capabilities and providing a recommendation. While the old speed optimizer would just treat all unlocked CPUs the same and make more general recommendations.

Bah, nice to think that my 14700k will get some love one day. from this one click type technology............Altho I'm enjoying the CPU :)

how do you input the system parameters? Custom water cooling loops for example don't communicate to the mainboard at all. so would I manually give you that information? How do you learn about all my thermal headroom in just 30 seconds? It also sounds like a run once, get proposed values option. Not a 'real time' system to boost clock speeds as turbo boost does for example. And finally - is there a tight integration with cryo Cooling Technology? Do users get access to all inputs? Include those "silicon binning quality stats"?

Imagine that! For once I actually got the latest CPU. I'll check this feature out for sure. However I will admit that I'm always sceptical about "auto" overclock features. Still give it a try tho. Seeing how I got a custom water cooling loop I at least have a good enough cooling solution to be able to squeeze a few hundred extra MHz out of my system.

If i reset my bios to default, what’s about the memory xmp profile?

Sounds great but I have a 14900k, default bios settings and a custom water loop with 2 triple 120 rads and 1 dual 120 rad. Opened AI assist and.... FAILED, Intel's smartest feature isn't smart enough to tune it's own product, sad. This will be the future but it seems right now there are a lot of bugs to work out.
