This shows how following Jesus won't be easy, and will never be. Be strong in your faith, and if you ever doubt or get mocked for your faith, remember Jesus's disciples, and how they died for him.
@@3vr1niieli This is a popular mentality in religious cultist beliefs. Die for your faith, defeat the enemy. The enemy of God is Lucifer and his Lords, those who are not with God either need to be converted or are an enemy of thine God. Point being, all cults say "faith is not easy, let your faith remain unshaken in our monastery beliefs. " Meanwhile, there was nothing there to begin with. Yet, this ideal has spread far and wide. Many people use this same formula today in kidnapping and cultist enslavement. Christians do it too, in the form of conversion camps, mission trips, charity which goes to further the agenda. In the end of the day, people do TRULY believe in this, and anything anyone says is a "test of faith." So this entire comment will more than likely fall on deaf ears, because just like everyone else, I do hope there is something in the afterlife. Just not everlasting pious service. "For what have we to give once coin and toil has been expended? Lest we are buried in tossed soil to be lamented." One day, all of our eyes will close, and when they open, I hope to see all of you. I wish to understand just as you all do. How optimistic it is however to believe that perhaps our eyes will open again?
They could have gone home back to their jobs and families. And just pretend that it was all some adventure they could remember. Instead they went to hostile lands and preached.
If they are going to show in the Chosen how the Lord's men will die I just know that I will be crying 😭 my eyes out and my heart will be so broken 💔 😢 I am a Child of God and to me this movie the Chosen is such a wonderful HOLY BEAUTIFUL movie and it touches my heart and spirit so deeply ❤ 😇🙏✝️
@@julieviola6787 same my friend! Did you see the episode of the bleeding woman? I went to Israel and TO THIS DAY when a woman is on her period, she is considered “unclean”. Husband and wife sleep in twin beds pushed together. When she is on her period, they separate the beds and sleep on different ends of the room. Could you imagine the isolation that woman felt her entire life? The desperation that she felt when she reached for Jesus? GOODNESS! Such a powerful episode
The fact that they died horrific deaths is a testimony to what they’ve witnessed. The suffering, the death, and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
@@dbossmotiv They died. Can't write about it if your dead. They could in Revelation, but It was not the point of the book. If it was in James, shouldn't that be enough?
@BagzAndPresident sadly in one way and happily in another. It DID happen. There are many historical records that are independent of eachother saying the same thing. I feel bad for those that chose to not open their door to christ. He died for us and we chose to ignore that. You weren't there so it takes MUCH more faith to believe now than it did for those who witnessed him. Which is that much more powerful. As the saying goes, it's not the mind or the eyes that is blind, it's the heart.
John son of Zebedee was actually boiled alive in a pot of oil and survived. The Roman’s got so fed up with failing at killing him that they exiled him to an island, Pathos I believe, where he wrote the book of Revelation. Pretty inspiring story.
False. The Island was called Patmos, not pathos. And it was neither John son of Zebedee nor John the Evangalist who wrote the book of revelation. It was a random guy (also named John) who had nothing do do with Jesus canonically speaking. For this reason, there has been much debate whether revelation should even be considered canon and included in the canonical Bible.
@@lortyn Sadly or not sadly, I don’t believe God didn’t forgive Judas Iscariot as he killed himself. He did another sin instead of proclaiming the good word as he should have done
They grew even deeper into their belief in and love for Jesus as they spent more time with Him. As do we when we study the scriptures and pray in His name and serve. There were many more who suffered for their belief in Him and will be more before He comes. I don’t know how brave I would be if called to do that, but I’d like to think I would be as strong as Mary was at the cross if my children had to suffer like our Savior did for us.
@@dbossmotiv in the Bible there is 😁 The fact the Christianity was banned and illegal until the 4th century! 🧐 And yes the punishment was death most of case and they just were the believers not the priests or preachers!
Literally puts me in to tears and it is a SOBERING reminder of what the Church looks like today. How many would be willing to follow Christ if they knew death like this could be around the corner for them.
Many will choose the mark of the beast from within the Christian church. Only a remnant make it. Christian teachers have become circus side shows worshiping money unfortunately. Because of that many believers will fall away when things get seriously difficult.
it's tough to think about. especially if you haven't seen anything with your own eyes. many would deny him him to live, as did Simon Peter, and he experienced His physicality. it's not a fun thought at all. I'd like to think I'd die for him. But I am also human, with a 2 year old son that I raise by myself. I'd probably deny him, regret it, and beg for forgiveness while feeling like a coward. LUCKILY, he is a loving, forgiving God. I would use the time I bought with lies, to try to make up for the time I bought with lies. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
You walk by him all the time and ignore him. He said he's the homeless man on the sidewalk, the poor looking for clothing and shelter, the hungry, the weakest in society. Christians step over them to go to church....
@@soioioioioioio34 Becuase the people who killed them didn’t like them talking about Jesus. The Roman Empire saw Jesus as a threat to the monarchy. Others simply hated what Jesus preached.
This is no joke! In these last days there will be a lot of saints of the Lord murdered and killed for their faith in Jesus! Tortured and even sent to prisons or camps! Only he that endures to the end shall be saved!
Let's not fear the death given by people of this earth instead let's pray together so that we will see our Lord Jesus Christ soon 🙌😇Lord Jesus Christ be with us always and give us the strength to face death with a smiling face because we trust you always 🙌
John was boiled in oil but somehow Survived and was banished to patmos. It is said that Roman emperor Domitian commanded that the apostle John be boiled to death in oil, but John only continued to preach from within the pot. Another time, John was forced to drink poison, but, as promised in Mark 16:18, it did not hurt him. Thus John, the head of the church in Ephesus at the time, was banished to Patmos in A.D. 97.
It is said that, the story about John and the island may be about a different John and it was a random dude. That is why the book of Revelations is debated if it should be included in the Bible or not. Either way most of the apostles were amazing!
and society still has not learned that they CANNOT silence Jesus and the Gospel. They are and will come for all those today who follow Jesus still believing they can silence him, us and the Gospel merely by taking our earthly lives.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.- Matthew 5:10-12
More than a Great Sage. He is the Son of God, The promised Messiah who saves the world from its sins. If as you said you respect him, you'd listen to his message, as he says in the Bible: "For God has so loved the world that he gave his only beloved Son so that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have Eternal Life." Salvation is not in Hinduism, but in Jesus-Christ. Jesus-Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
They would not have made such renowned and faithful martyrs unless they 110% believed in what they saw. That Christ Jesus has indeed risen from the grave. They saw, walked, and talked with him when he came back to life. And they died faithfully proving their true belief
Peter chose to be crucified upside down, he said ‘I am not worthy to die in the same manner as my Lord.’ He is a true example of how us Christians should be in life. Those short also displays very well the difficulty for Christians. In the reign of the Antichrist, we will all probably be killed, but that is momentary, and if we are able to spend eternity with Christ, I’m up for it. And remember guys, the mark of the beast isn’t ‘666’, it calculates to 666. May the Lord be with you all.
666 is Nero Caesar. This is most evident by how around half the Latin manuscripts say 616. For in Latin that's what his name adds to whereas in Greek it adds to the larger figure.
I seen Jesus, I was in Heaven 🙏 I no Jesus is full of Mercy and Grace and Love 🥰 And I can’t wait to be with him again 🙌🤴🏻🙏 All Eternity Praise God 🙌🙌🙌🙌
John DID NOT DIE from boiling oil… that’s why he was sent to the island of Patmos & where he wrote the book of Revelation…given to him by JESUS Himself…
Praise the LORD, GOD JESUS CHRIST Has given us the Burden to share the Gospel to the Gentiles, be strong in faith and Live for CHRIST the king of kings Amen 🙏❤
Lord Jesus protect us even though the enemies are surrounding us to destroy us for your name sake and for doing your deeds spreading the gospel amen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow this video really raises the bar on following Jesus , I mean how many of us would agree to follow Jesus knowing that you would have to suffer these kind of deaths , it's easy to say yes I would follow Him it's easy to say anything but really think about it , would you follow Jesus knowing you would have to go through these kind of things?
@@s1b3r11 My friend, read John 21:19. Jesus told his disciples exactly what to concern themselves with. All had a purpose and served their purpose from Daniel who was delivered from the lion’s den to others who were not.
@@mmlwriter1 yes, I know that they all were prepared to give testimony by their death. Yet I just can't stop thinking that if they knew John was saved or if they met Jesus in heaven they would be like "so Rabbi... You told us that we have to die excruciatingly painful deaths to give the testimony but then you went out of your way and saved John making him the exception. So.... why exactly did WE had to die, if he didn't?" After all they were all still only humans.
@@s1b3r11 You think in the mode of equity. From that you would question why Elijah was taken and Elisha died. Why Daniel was saved and Stephen was stoned to death. That you got new shoes so I want new shoes is not the course we run as Christians. For some it is to die for your faith as a testimony. Others it is to live for your faith as a testimony. Each consequence has its purpose and we have not the discernment to question the decisions God makes for us for His purpose.
@@mmlwriter1 first of all it's not really about equality but meaning. Daniel and Stephan can't be compared. Elisha and Elijah were also different from each other while all apostles were given the same mission by Jesus. In the new testament there are also few distinctions. Like Peter being singled out and chosen as the head of the church, then the fact that only Peter, John and James were allowed to witness transfiguration etc. So there are differences and no equality. The thing is.. they were all given the same mission as evident by Jesus' words. To share the Gospel. Now the persecution were prophesied and they all probably knew they had to give their lifes in order to give testimony and prove they weren't not making this up, since the God of the Bible doesn't enjoy torture for torture's sake. So I believe it would be the most logical and human reaction to have for the 11 to, upon meeting Jesus in heaven, be like 'yeah so you are telling us it wasn't necessary for us all to die in order to share the Gospel? And since you went out of your way to save John, can you please tell us again why did we have to die like that?'. I'm not saying there is no reason just that it would be the most logical reaction to have. And funny. Kind of in dark comedy sort of way.
Show me the evidence that they were killed for their beliefs ? (Other than James).. I’ll wait for an eternity since there is none and you’ve been believing in a lie this entire time.

The book After Acts: Exploring the Lives and Legends of the Apostles (Bryan Liftin) is a helpful resource to see what happened to the apostles, how much is legend, how much is historical fact, how much we know, how much we don't know, etc.
Show me the evidence that any of the disciples died horrible deaths. (Other than James) … I’ll wait for an eternity once you realize you’ve been believing in a lie.
These disciples died in this manner for what they believed in. Preached that Jesus is God. Preached Christianity and died believing in Jesus. The comes Muhammad out of nowhere and denies everything they believed in. And we are supposed to "trust" him
Tertullian says John survived the Roman attempt to fry him alive, and that freaked them out so they exiled him to Patmos. Eusebius clarifies that this happened under the emperor Domitian, and that Domitian died in 96, and Nerva, the next emperor, freed his political prisoners, including John, who then lived out the rest of his days in Asia minor.
Learning about how the original 12disciples of Jesus is heartbreaking and sad, but they were willing to go through all these martyred experiences for Their Lord Jesus Christ. They were the Chosen Ones of The Lord. How blessed are they. I pray 🙏 that may own Faith will not be shaken by the chaos of this world. Blessings to all and Let's all focus our eyes on Jesus Christ. For He is The only Way and The only Truth. Without Him we do not exist. May His Peace be upon you all. ❤❤❤
This makes me wonder if we all have it wrong and if the majority of us who claim to follow Jesus will be told to depart since none of us seem to take Christianity as serious as they did. They left every thing for Jesus and even died for their faith

Thank you to my brothers in arms on Memorial Day. I can only hope to have the opportunity to offer something as precious to my Master Yeshua. Remembering you all, can’t wait for our reunion. You were counted among fools but overthrew the darkness of Rome. Death comes for us all. All we can do is smile at him (through the Spirit). Wishing freedom from fear through Messiah to you all.
Jesus died for our sins, was buried, then rose from the dead 3 days later so that we may have eternal life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord & believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Repentance & baptism are also important!!) I pray & ask for eternal life, living water, & holy virgin olive oil over your family bloodline; in Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏🏻🖤✝️
One of the greatest proofs that Jesus definitely died, was certainly buried, and absolutely came back from death. Praise God He chose these men who learned, preached, and died for the Truth that Christ alone is the rightful King of this planet and the only One Who can save souls from the physical and spiritual destruction that awaits all who don’t turn to Him. God bless you for making this!
I live in Canada and I sometimes struggle with thinking about how privileged/fortunate we are. I am terrified of dying any of these types of deaths but I pray that if it comes down to the wire that I will not cower. I often question if my faith is really genuine when I hear about what other Christians have faced. Can anyone relate?
These disciples were in and out of prison for preaching the gospel before their deaths. They didn't have the same sentences we have now a days. These apostles were not criminals. They just served Christ.
Old age. There are some reports that he was boiled alive but generally people who believe that believe also that he survived it which terrified people who wanted to kill him so much that they stopped trying and exiled him instead.
He survived the dunk into the boiling oil and so they just sent him to an island to hopefully die. Little did they know he was being given a message of their doom.
There’s more records (even from non Christian’s) of Jesus and his disciples than even the emperors during that time period. Do you doubt those emperor’s existence just because it was so long ago? How far back does a historical event have to take place before you find it credible?
Matthew 10:28 NIV Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Me and my brothers are able to preach Christ with no interference beyond a few hecklers. Be ready in season and out of season. We in America should be shouting it on the rooftops, warning people of the judgment to come. Yet, we’re soft and afraid of hurting someone’s feelings that we hide away on the weekends to watch baseball. The time is short and the days are evil, friends. He says to you, “preach the gospel!”
Even when I was atheist and agnostic at certain points in my life, it was crazy to think "liars" would go so far with the threat of being murdered in gruesome ways hanging over them. They weren't looking for profit or status from man. They feared and loved God a lot more and were willing.
This is even more proof that Jesus is the living God. Men and women die for what they think is not lie. There is noone that dies FOR a lie unless these men witnessed Our Lords resurrection and was filled with the Holy Spirit.
One of the first Japanese Christians in the 1600s also died a terrible death for his belief. He was made a saint for it and his mission in Japan. "My name is Nakaura, I went to Rome. I accept this great suffering, for the love of God"
