Thank you Dena! Much appreciation for your authenticity. I can’t imagine how difficult this is for your whole family. Your response to it is a “banner” for us all. May Hashem always bring you strength, joy and love 💕
Beautiful! I’m not Jewish, I’m a born again Yeshua follower. Do not know why your channel popped up on my feed, but it really blessed me. The technology that allows Yitzi to communicate is amazing. I sincerely pray that HaShem will heal him on this side for the glory of His name.
Wowwww what an episode! Hashem should heal him speedily in our days!!! What an amazing couple. Hashem should continue to give her the patience, strength, and hatzlacha to continue living there lives and inspiring others!! Wow that a story!
There is no cure for ALS: says a spouse who lost my hubby to this illness. It is a horribly cruel fatal disease. May Moshaich come speedily in our days 😢
What a unbelievable opportunity you have to tap into the lives of the Hurwitz family and share with us the pearls Dina shared. So many valuable lessons. May it be a zechus for Yitzy and her!
I found your channel just now, I am not Jewish, but I am a spouse with mental/physical challenges, and my spouse stepped up to the plate, and I love him for that. He in on the spectrum, so we had many things to work through, and our marriage has THRIVED because we met each other where we were, and learned to accept each other at our strengths and difficulties. I have a friend whose father was diagnosed with ALS a couple of years ago (he's older), and they're catching hell, but recently had some successes, she's there with her parents today, and I am going to send m her this RU-vid, to help her and her family as they go through this season right now, I am glad to have found you!!!
Thank you Rabbi. I am praying for you. I am not a Jew, but today you have helped me see my own Tikkun. And inspire me to seek HaShem more. I am moved to do more.
Incredible episode!!! What an amazing couple!! Dina seems so genuine and kind and like an unbelievable women, mom and wife!! Yitzy seems like an incredible person! His positivity and simchas hachayim is so infectious!! May Hashem give them the strength and whatever they need to get through! And may Yitzi have a full and speedy recovery!!! BEAUTIFUL!!
Beautiful! Wishing Dina and Yitzi strength to keep on persevering! The world needs more inspiration than ever before. And I've got a huge dose by watching you. So, thank you!
Beautiful! The authenticity of Dina reminded me that this is what Hashem wants. To live for him not for what we perceive others need to hear or see. Thank you!!
“And maybe one of the hardest things to stay soft while you have to be strong…” Thank you for this, Dina! May HaShem bless you and your family with much joy, happiness, and peace!
So BEAUTIFUL! I live with a chronic illness and it is so easy to get caught up in what used to be. Yitzi and Dina are amazing examples of moving forward with what is and trusting in his plan 🙌🏻 🙏🏻 ❤️
#beautiful This episode was hands-down the rawest, most genuine, and honest interview I've ever watched. R' Yitzi Hurwitz' neshama shines through his eyes. The clip created from his song made me cry because it encapsulates the boundless love R' Yitzi lives. Also, watching the clip in these stormy days in Israel after a morning of wondering how on earth little old me can help to mend the painful rift that is widening in Israeli society reminded me that this is what we can do- every single one of us can add light and help mend our world. Dina Hurwitz is an absolute breath of fresh air in our world of Instagram-worthy content. The way she shared of herself, her journey, and her honest thoughts without sugar-coating touched me so deeply. Thank you for sharing R' Yitzi and Dina's journey with us. Hashem should bless the Hurwitz family with the feeling that they are being enveloped by Hashem's love, nachat from their children, and the ability to continue being true to themselves. They are bringing so much light to this world by simply being them.
#Beautiful I love how she was so real and didn’t sugarcoat things I have my own health challenges and this really gave me a lot of strength so thank you so much for doing this I am a camp simcha special girls camper
Wow beautiful episode. Just watched the whole thing POST Tisha Beav and I can truly say this is the most inspiring video I’ve watched all day. Rebitzin Dina is so authentic and genuine and I just gained so much wisdom from the both of them. You also asked all the right questions.. thank you for this 🙏🏼
Beautiful for every situation! Thank-you, Dina and Yittzy! The things you shared are hard won gold. I have many struggles that you spoke so brilliantly to. Especially the lesson about doing what YHVH is speaking to us to do instead of what others expect. So much beauty and wisdom spoken. 🕯🕊
I'm not sure if you realize that you're a great inspiration for people who suffer not only such a disease, but any kind of insecurities, mental distress because of different reasons in their lives, old age fears and loss. When things like that happen, often we lose hope and even faith, but seeing you and listening to you, I, myself feel that there's hope for a good solution to our lives. Thank you for sharing with us. B"H
Beautiful and amazing, and inspiring and even breathtaking......sensitive, mature, introspective, .....more adjectives??? I think there aren't enough words in my vocabulary to really say what needs to be said, except we want Rabbi Yitzy and his wife to be able to greet Moshiach...immediately!!
Beautiful... Was so touched by this. May he have a complete refuah shelima bekarov. Will try to find someone who doesn't put on tifilin to do so in his zechut. Besoros tovos & thank you for inspiring us.
This is crazy, I was recounting to my cousin how I went to visit the hurwitz family right before COVID in January 2020. And I was wondering how they were doing now. And this was uploaded that day….
Way pre-computer & cell phones, we went through ALS ourselves. People were scared to come to visit until after life. We did want some support. At the same time we enjoyed our privacy.
@chaim3904 from your brief statement it appears you chose a different lifestyle to the one that you and your wife agreed to, a very different scenario to Dina amd Yitzi's.if you were once observant you are very much aware that its not fair to expect your wife to stand by you.
I'm so sorry Chaim that this was your experience. While divorce is often encouraged in situations like yours, as a mom and a therapist I don't agree. Children in a loving home with both parents even as one cannot reconcile his Judaism with the expectation (or the commitment) is better than a home that is no longer intact forcing children to choose between two parents who have extremely different lifestyles. So long as there is respect and communication. Yes, respect can continue to be the foundation and so can communication. The marriage can remain sacred.
@@freidyy You are 100% correct. However, it often takes immense strength to do the right thing and not everyone will be ready to sign up for the challenge. It's essentially exchanging one nisayon for another
ALS is awful and it seems like so little has been learned about it since it was identified in the 1860s and then brought to prominence in the 1940s when Lou Gehrig contracted it.
