Apple happily exploits its way out of paying taxes but if a customer wants to buy a cable from another company, they have to pay Apple some sort of tax in addition to the price of the product.
What’s even worse than companies not paying taxes is the false impression they are It’s like seeing a sign in a restaurant saying “All employees must wash hands before returning to work” and employees walk right past the sink (some splash some water on their hand for a second)
Oh no, taxes aren't a bad thing, we need to pay taxes! But we also need to make sure the government spends this money as efficiently as possible and that a-holes corporations pay their fair share!
Taxes are good when properly used. The biggest issue is between misappropriation and lack of taxes being paid by the ultra wealthy. At the very least, Amazon is expanding and paying into their business and diversifying their business. Apple is just moving and hiding money, unfortunately.
I am a tax accountant with a masters and 4 years experience. This checks out. I want to add depreciation and amortization of assets helps. And transfer pricing practices also help drive taxable income down by shifting funds from a high tax country to a lower one by charging for royalties, rent, insurance, patents, etc. But bringing funds back to the US is taxed.
holy crap I love these longer videos from you. Fr might be some of my favorite videos on youtube. Thank you please keep it up! Also y tf are these not getting millions of views??
Hey! Hello from Costa Rica! Look man I’m gonna give you my point of view as a fan of learning channels. I actually just have this channel so my algorithm only shows me learning videos. The editing, the writing, the animation, the narrative of your videos are AMAZING. And I love the topics of business stories, because you can make them to look like the super interesting stories they are. But I think that the topic of business stories could be too niche if you really want to get a bigger audience. And that may work for shorts, but not exactly for long term format. I can imagine your videos being about science, world economics/politics, history, nature. You have amazing writers, and I think that you shouldn’t be afraid of expanding in that area. Of course as long as you still enjoy the topics, because I think that the love you have for the topics chosen is what makes them so amazing. So, if you can love other topics as well, you will do great. Maybe other piece of advise, and it’s for your discretion, is to change the channel name. I’ve seen many times great content creators that don’t get that big because of having their names as the channel name. You could do something like Veritasium, Kurzgezagt, ASAPScience or Vsauce. Using the name works for people that were famouse before youtube like Tom Scott or Mark Rober. Also, for your long format videos, the thumbnails are a huge area of improvement. People LOVE animations and you have animations and great ones. Make them the star of your thumbails. Take Oversimplified or Kurzgezagt as examples on how to do thumbnails with your animations. Because, to be honest, you have three outstanding long format videos by now and I think that the thumbnails are killing them (they suck sorry😂) And for Dylan, I think that maybe you should each find your format of making videos. To be honest, I met you first (over your shorts) and when he came up, I felt like he was copying you. Like a knock off of your style. It’s up until this video that I understand the way you are doing it, but my impression could be the same as others. I didn’t want to follow him for that, now that I understand I went to give my subscribe ❤ But not everyon will be interesting in checking the blog to understand what your business is and they can asume things. Maybe making shorts together can help as well. But each of you can make up your own character. Take John and Hank Green as an example, they were each successful on their own, while working together, but each had their own style of videos and narrative. Hope this advise helps because I really really want to see you both guys grow a lot! You deserve it! ❤❤❤❤
Bro has a whole ass team of animators and artists to do goofy graphs and slide shows, but he uses a marker and a piece of paper, cause he respects his employees time

The end of his video depends on the government where you live. You might have one that promotes growth and needs the taxes to better everyones lives, and then theres rhe government that lines their pockets from embezzling tax payer money.
I have a request: so you know, when Coco the movie remember when his dog the street dog was following him to de la Cruz coughing and he was following him and Annoying him. He threw a piece of meat to distract him and then when he play the guitar he saw the dead in when the dog ate the meat he could see Miguel when he played the guitar, so can you make a video out of this?
Not to compare you with Johnny Harris but I think I just found my new Johnny Harris. You are new, fun, informative, and just a nice dash of goofy. Love you ❤.
Inasmuch as SCOTUS has ruled that American corporations have the status of human beings, their income should be taxed at the same rate that people have to pay in personal income tax.
A while back I went down an economics rabbit hole, and the main thing that I realized is that yes, the right is correct in saying taxation is unethical. However, the left is correct in saying society can't function without it. So the most ethical solution isn't always the same as the most practical solution. Taxes are unethical, technically, but we still need them.
