Eli Doubletap, Brandon Herrera, Fat Electrician, and Donut Operator make up the backbone of the podcast. In order to rotate guests through the podcast they are not always all there together.

The US firebombing of Tokyo using non-nukes a few months earlier was just as deadly and destructive as the nukes.

More deadly, but that's due more to the population of Tokyo compared to Nagasaki and Hiroshima

The Soviet navy in 1945 wasn't much better than the awful Russian navy that fought Japan in the early 1900's.

Eli and Donut are the original founders of the podcast, but Brandon and Nic were added as hosts some time later. As someone else said, they sometimes rotate out who's hosting in order to make having guests on more manageable. 6 drunk people sitting at a table together can get pretty chaotic lolz

Its estimated that the minimum death from a land invasion of Japan would have been 3 million or more per side of at leadt 6 million dead. As horrible as the nukes were less people died than would have with a land invasion

every day th war would have went on if not for the atomic bombing, tens of thousands would have died. whether in POW camps, or of starvation or just brutalist actions by IJA troops from korea to Myanmar. I nfact i beleive the indonesians say the 3.5 years of Japanese rule were more brutal than 350 years of dutch rule. I'd much rather several hundreds thousand people in hiroshima contributing to the japanese war effort perished than have vietnamese, malaysians, British, Indian Americans Chinese Korean etc innocents
