VIDEO CORRECTIONS (compiled from viewer comments): From Juan Pablo: FCU (Autopilot) panel o. The glareshield. You have HDG 360 twice. The window on the right should read Altitude. From The Beast: the HDG display and IAS indicator on the right side of the flight control panel shown at 18:19 actually display desired altitude and VERTICAL speed respectively, not HDG and IAS and at 27:33, the A/T DISC switch only disconnects the autothrottle, to reengage autothrottle you have to do so on the flight control pane From Edward Long: 2: the flap handle is way too long, should be about 2 inched in length.

Some viewers seem to be hung up on the video title, suggesting we should have included a plane make/model. Our work here is indeed based on the Airbus A220 airplane cockpit. However, we've taken calculated liberties for the sake of education and our desired end product. This is not aviation certification course material, it's just real smart entertainment. As such, it's not appropriate to name a specific model. This is a high fidelity representation of where aviation is now, and where it's headed for the time being. The act of sharing knowledge is an invitation, not a closed door or an unreachable prize to hoard. Be kind when explaining what you know, not rude. It's hard to learn from mean teachers. RU-vid comments section doesn't have to be low quality, we can be good teachers for each other when commenting. Animagraffs welcomes high quality feedback, as always. Let's learn together.

I am a CPT on B737 and this video allowed me to admire the technological advancement of a very new airliner A220. The B737 uses switches rather than push buttons and there are as much as tripple the amount! This cockpit is very cozy and seems to be much easier to use for a new pilot. The mechanics who keep these birds flying know as much, and in some cases, more than the pilots about the flight deck in order to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve whatever problem the aircraft flew in with. You never hear anyone in the public claiming the maintenance personnel should be paid accordingly. If they aren't repaired, the aircraft isn't going anywhere.

I was involved in the design of the 220 from the beginning when it was the C Series at Bombardier. You have done a great job at this drawing. A couple of things need fixing. 1: on the FCP the HDG is written twice. The windows from left to right should be speed, HDG, altitude. 2: the flap handle is way too long, should be about 2 inched in length.
@edwardlong189
@edwardlong189 Год назад
A couple of other details. On the EICAS display ( second display from the left with the engine instruments) you have a compass rose which should not be there. The EICAS display is devoted to the engine instruments only. On the first officers Nav display ( second inboard from the right) you have a large U shaped graphic which should not be there. On the glare shield are the priority lights that depict which stick has taken control. The light segment shows a green arrow in the direction ofthe commanded side. I will review some more…

Former Boeing.... your detailed 3D animations are always amazing. I have watched other of your videos on aircraft construction and operations. All very close to real life. Every aircraft is a little bit different, but the basics never change. Yaw, Pitch, Roll are the 3 most important concepts every pilot must master to safely fly any aircraft. One thing not mentioned is choice of colors for flight-deck. I still remember when Boeing Triple Seven (777) came out with an all glass cockpit and fly by wire. Adjustable display panels and muted interior colors helped pilots focus without eye fatigue. Since then, all modern aircraft have all glass cockpits and fly by wire. I am old school stick and rudder, or yoke. Side stick needs lots of practice in simulator to master. I just recalled problems in some military jets and side stick were too sensitive and high G load on pilot's arm could accidentally push stick in error. It's funny, 20 years ago at Boeing, engineers had very sophisticated CAD systems. Your 3D see through and fly through are 10 times better than what they had back then. One IBM CATIA workstation cost 50 grand plus annual license. Times have really changed in computing.

ok now I know how to fly 😆 just think one man knows all these switches and knobs and lights . I don't even know what over half my buttons do on my remote . hats off to the underpaid pilots. and this was a very well made video . I subscribed when I watched a sailing ship 3d vid a couple weeks ago

This is a fascinating video. I'm going to send a link to it to my retired pilot friend. I did notice something strange going on with the knob shadows on the audio control panel, starting around 21:50.

Your videos are great and the level of detail is just staggering. The 3D models and animations are amazing! The explanations are easy to understand, but no details are missed. I wish I came across these ages ago! I wish the best for you and your channel and that your efforts don't go unnoticed!

Thank you for creating this. I was always curious what all those panels and controls were for. Goes to show how much a pilot has to know to effectively and safely navigate an airliner. Really amazing how much is involved. Truly fascinating. Also, Great Job on creating this video. Graphic information was fabulous.
