Recently I was looking for another motorcycle/scooter. To know more watch the whole video. I rate Suzuki Bandits very highly. I had one when I set up my RU-vid channel. I had a 600 and then the 1200. Never any trouble. Also, some years ago, my son ran one for a couple of years to get him to college

No after university, he got himself a great job, a new house and needed a car. He managed to sell it for just about the same as I paid you years previously.

@@RRRRefuelRideRace My 600 around 2003 was second hand. My 1200 Bandit S I bought new in 2006. Both were on carbs. The 1200 was the last year they made that model before the 1250 with water cooling

Dobar, sad ovo drugi treći vlasnik, sve je upitno ali mašine su nepoderive, jučer sam imao priliku voziti taj stroj, strašno, zvuk, kvačilo, fantazija za tu godinu, kao da je iz tvornice🔝👍

@@2W_Adventure Model koji si vozio ima vođeno hlađenje, taji ima vazdušno oljno i zato je 18 kg lakši. Ima i neka razlika u konjaži ali ne osjeti se puno jer je model od 2007 dalje teži. 77 konja 2005-2006 prema 84 konja 2007 i dalje ali sa 18 kg više. Hladnjak... U vožnji je super. Slažem se.

I hope this bike pans out good for you & your father. So essentially the previous owner logged approximately 2,500 miles per year x 18 years equals the 45,132 miles on the bike. I hope he gave you a healthy discount for the mileage & tires. What did Franc Pusnik feel about the bike mileage & condition of the bike? Have a great day my friend! Cheers!! Illinois, USA

That is more or less the mileage that was done on this machine. You are right. Franc was with me only when I was looking at the BMW. :) The BMW R850R had around 35.000 miles, but we didnt see the owner that time. It was at the dealer. :) The bike was nice, but the oil there surprised me after 4 days when I was ready to pick it. There should have been an accident with the bike, otherwise it wouldnt be leaking there. I plan to show Franc the Suzuki too. :) He already knows that I went for the Suzuki, but I didnt have time to explain him all the details. :) Will let you know his thoughts about it. I negotiated a good price. Just yesterday I put brand new tires on. I also filmed it a bit. It is not gonna be a long video, but some 5 to 7 min it will be. :)

Did you get any maintenance records from the previous owner? I'd really like to know if a compression test was ever performed on the bike.

I got the service record, but it shows only the first three services done. I double checked and I discovered that I bought it from the 2nd owner. He had the bike from 2008. Riding from 2000 to 6000 km per year, approx. It runs very nicely, but I had to do some minor things to fix it. You will see all that I did. I would also like to see the compression test. :) Thanks for tuning in Larry. Appreciate it. I am working on the "maintenance Series". :)

I have a gsf 600s 2001 with 48 000km, nothing so far, the downside is it needs valve adjustment every 12 000km, but only the first time it was under min, second time i did valve check everything in spec.

I see. Having just 48.000 km is really not a lot for these bikes. Some just need the adjustment some don't. Are you using it daily?

@@RRRRefuelRideRace i think this type of engine needs the first adjustment...yes i use it daily and also for touring, usualy the bikes sitting long time have problems because the carboratours.

@@apauma1 Yes, I heard about the problems with the carbs if it is not in use for some time. This one is till now perfect. I cannot blame it. :) You can check my other videos and sub if you feel so. I am preparing the maintenance Series for the Bandit. Still in July will upload some videos about it.

@@RRRRefuelRideRace the biggest problem i know is the petcock valve stuck open, this can flood the engine with gasoline, the oil level raises. If the oil level stays same and the oil doesnt smells like gas, it is ok.

Res je, da so Banditi načeloma kar težki, a ta je najlažji med njimi, ker je še oljno-zračno hlajen in je ravno tista vmesna serija 2005-2006. Torej 204 kg suhe teže in 20 L goriva, skupaj 224 kg. Pravi, da mu je v redu. Je že vozil na kratko. Z vodnim hlajenjem je naslednja serija pridobila 18 kg, zato sem se tistega izognil, čeprav mi je všeč.
