Thank you Nandi for this video I'm 17 and trying to figure out what I wanna do with my life & watching your video made so happy to see someone like me make her dreams come true, you've inspired me to follow my dreams of becoming a real estate agent too, thank you!!.
This was VERY informative . I just finished high school and just started doing research on becoming a real estate agent but this has been the most realistic and genuine video ever . So thank you .
Very informative and thanks for the background summary of how and why you Joined RA. It is fascinating quite frankly on how you flip the page, Bravo. Wish most people especially graduates and school leavers would learn and take note to fight unemployment.
i like this video it puts me in the real side of the career, actually i am going to do my internship soon. i am struggling with getting a car and wow thinking on how am i getting through six months without payment, i am still a student.
Nandi You were so clear and you've made it so easy to actually understand. Whatever you do I'm sure you will be very successful. Thank you for sharing your experience so far. Well done
It is inspiring especially for me i just started I don't kno if I'm moving forward or backward but listening ur story reminded me why I decided to start real estate in the first place thank u cc for sharing ur journey it is really inspiring 💓
Loved ur video i wanna be a real estate agent so bad had an opportunity years ago and i let it slip through my fingers .would love to give it a shot again.but at 46 i fear im too old.
Thank you for tuning in.❤️ There is no such thing as too old in this industry, I work with people in their sixties and you can’t even tell. I recommend that you give it a shot and see how it goes, you will never know unless you try.
Lol @saiful4899 I am 46 y/o, started my real estate journey in March 2024. To be honest with you I am so in love with the real estate industry and age is not a concern for me at all. The main focus for me is listing and selling properties.
As a gr.11 learner who is interested in real estate this was really informative , but I want to ask did you go to school for real estate (university or collage) and if you did what courses did you take ?
Hi thank you so much for watching❤. No I didn't go to school for it. Training is provided by the firm while you work, until you get your qualification. They will guide you through everything while you work.
I'm a student studying engineering at wits but I wanna break into real estate. I would love to know how flexible the real estate industry and would it be possible for me to enter the industry while studying.
Hi Alizwa. Thank you for watching. Yes you can definitely do both. I am doing both at the moment, and although it does get challenging at times its doable. I always try to get an amount of listings that I can handle.
Hi Nandi, Thanks for the video.very informative. How often do the company your working for take new interns, I'm currently looking for a company to get started
Hello Thank you so much for watching. To my knowledge Real Estate agencies take interns any time of the year including mine. so just find one that offers good training, and approach them.
Hi. As difficult as I find it, I do cold calling which is nerve wrecking most of the time because of the rejection, but I try not to let it get to me. I also do Facebook marketing which helps a lot. Thank you for watching.
Hi wow your videos are very informative ,I have been considering to do real estate ,I wanted to find out can you do this straight out of matric without any qualifications. if so ,how do you go about it ?
Hi thank you for watching.❤️ Yes you can do it straight out of matric, I would suggest that you approach your local agencies, and hear what each has to offer. All the best🤗
Firstly thank you for watching. Commission splits depend on the agency you are with and the qualifications you have. We charge a commission of 7% of the selling price of a property. Since I am still an intern I get 50%. That will change once I have completed my NQF qualification.
Hi Dimpho. Thank you for watching. It's not easy but I try to balance it out, I am studying law part time as I also have to take care of my family. But it can be a lot at times.
Hi Kehinde. Yes you can, no it is not mandatory to communicate in Afrikaans, I have never had to communicate in Afrikaans a day in my life since I started working in this industry. So go ahead and give it a shot.
Hi. I have only been ever with Harcourts so I have no idea what other agencies offer. but you can maybe pick the top 3 agencies in your area and visit or send an email to all 3. Find out what they have to offer, and decide from there which one is best. Thank you for watching.
You can try to do it part time, but in order to be successful and service your clients 100% I would advise doing it full time. Athough it gets challenging at times.
Yes you can, but I think it works best if you are working in a new development as you don't really need to move around as much. Or if you are working in the the city like PTA CBD cos Uber and public transport make it easy to move around.
Hi Lilitha. Yes you can become a Real Estate agent, you dont really need a degree to become an agent, you get taught everything as you work, you will get extensive training on the job depending on which agency you choose to join. I once thought I could do it part time but then realized that when I have good listings it becomes impossible to do it part time.
Were you happy with your first two commissions thou?Is it worth the 7 months you waited? Do you have to go to the office everyday?Or it's just something you can do part time.
Hello. Yes I was happy with my first two earnings they were actually more than I expected. I don't go to the office everyday I work from home most of the time and I am at the office maybe once or twice a week.
This video is so amazing. You spoke so candidly about your experience and it's' exactly what we need to hear when staring in this industry. Thank you so much! 🫶⭐
